please let us know what you all think the storylines and issues raised in 'enders,
have you been through a trauma like Zoes abortion? are you learning to drive like Dot?
we really want your opinions on things like this in order to help members who are in similar situations. do soaps reflect real life?
don't forget Aunt Sally is also here should you need her!
I've learnt how to drive but I wasn't 70 odd or however old Dot is.
iam learning how to drive but i am doing it a lot earlier than dot!!

are you finding it easy or struggling like her? is it costing you a fortune?
I haven't had an abortion but I've had a miscarriage and there's been several of those on EastEnders over the years. So well done, absolutely fabulous gripping stuff that bought it all flooding back to me. Great drama, so well done!

My driving lessons didn't cost a fortune but nearly cost me my life lol :)

it is costing a fortune!!! £40 per 2 hour lesson!!! and i bought my own car as well!! i have got my test in 4 weeks so hopefully it will be over soon!

good luck!!! did you have creepy intructor like dot?
no my instructor is really nice not creepy at all!!!!
I wouldn't go with a man Rach I would only go with a female. I always a felt a man would underestimate what I could do. Mind you nearly driving through a fence and being permanently on the pavement for the first 3 lessons might have been a good estimate :D
lol
I was terrible. I nearly wiped out civilisation :D

The driving instructor billed me £385 when the tests had finished for damage to the lights and a scratch on the bonnet.

oh dear, my mum would go mad if i had to pay that as i dont have enough money to so she would have to pay! im hoping i wont be too bad so i can prove her wrong, but i know that i prob will!

You just can't help it when you've never been behind the wheel before.

i thought their insurance covered that!!! luckily i have not hit any thing yet! well not in my instructors car anyway!!! i hit a kerb with my own car! i smashed the hubcap to pieces and dented the wheel!!!

i know. i wish my family had some huge piece of land somewhere so i could practise but no such luck! my mum wouldnt let me near her car anyway even if we had!!! :D

I went out in their own personal car though because my mam knew the instructor and their insurance wouldn't pay for the damage I did.
She was called Katrina, she was very tempremental. She used to tell me to take her to the McDonalds drive in.
i normally drive to the silverstone race circuit!!

I've got an issue! I think it may have already been brought up but I still want to rant about it! - I've been learning to drive since October. And I'm not being funny but I'm a lot better at Dot than pulling away so how is she ready for her test already! I found it just a little unfair. And even if the whole test thing was Michael covering up for her she progressed to country roads and three point turns extreme quickly. Has she even taken a theory test!
I know this is about issues that have BEEN rasied in the show but what about issues you'd like to be raised can you mention those too
I learnt to drive in 1981 when I was 27 left it a bit late,my lessons where £3.50 an hour :rotfl: .I had experience from driving. my hubby taught me and never a cross word . I had four driving school lessons and passed first time. I would be lost without my little car now.
I think EE has covered most issues especially those that some of the other soaps shy away from.
cant remember driving ever being covered in other soaps... lasat time i remeber is sonia... and she is in eastenders..
well done enders (agen)
bondboffin
I would like them to tackle the issue of self-harm it's not looked at enough in soaps yet so many people struggle with it
Bit heavy I know
stacey slater or demi/daren miller or ruby allen
great characters anyone of these would be perfect for the plot
bondboffin
Agreed any of tem Specailly Stacey there are still plenty of issues there
her mom could die or reject her agen
bondboffin
there are so many issues they could tackle they just need the balls to do it!!

i think they should tackle teenagers starving themselves cause my mate is in hospital cause she wasnt eating because of exams
di marco
19-06-2005, 18:04
yeh doing something on eating disorders would be good
They did try that briefly when Kim Macfarlane was bulimic a long time ago around the time all the di marcos were in it but they should tackle it again maybe with little Demi Miller or Ruby Allen

doing it with stacey would be good as she always seems so confident and doesnt care what people think so it would show that its all just a front
I'd like EE to tackle many taboo subjects such as Self Harm, Attempted Suicide and Binge Drinking these are imprtnat issues that people go through everyday I was lucky I had my family to support me others aren't so lucky and programmes like EE help people realise thye need help

defnaltey...since brookside there has been no soap that has dared tackle girrty issues
apart from family affairs with chloe's abuse... well written... they really deserved them awards at the soap awards!!!!

bondboffin
yeah I agree it's too female oriantated it would be brill if they showed a lad suffering like Darren
I think Stacey would be a good candidate for meeting someone over the internet that should be tackled more one of my friends her sister did that he said he was 15 but he was nearer 55 she just ran

the slaters are too porr for the internet... she'd probably do it at ruby's house... but i suppose stacey would be the only one stupiud enough to do it...
its been done on corrie tough with sarah loo
cant they have one where someone meets the love of their life on the net? like pauline or somthing, that wud be good seeing sonia teach her how to use it
bondboffin
She could easily get access to a computer
It would be nice but over the net you don't get to know them properly five minutes with her he'd scarper
