Emmerdale's troubled teen Aaron Livesy takes the stand in court in a fortnight's time for his attack on love interest Jackson Walsh.

With his friends and family urging him to come clean about his true sexuality in court, Aaron's forced to make a difficult choice - come to terms with being gay or face a long stretch in prison.

Knowing that the police believe his attack on Jackson was a homophobic one, Aaron realises that admitting he's gay in court would prove that the attack wasn't as simple as has since been made out.

Unsure over what to do, Aaron takes centre stage in the courtroom. His thoughts, however, are thrown when he turns to see Jackson taking a seat in the public gallery.

Will Aaron tell the truth to save himself a lengthy stint behind bars?

These scenes air on Thursday, May 13 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV1

Adam takes Jackson to see Aaron at Smithy

Airs on Monday, May 10 2010 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

Aaron refuses to meet with his solicitor and instead heads to work at the garage. Cain, however, worries that it's too much too soon when Aaron suffers a dizzy spell.

Later, Chas and Paddy despair as Aaron refuses to admit that he's gay, even if there's a remote possibility that it could save him from a prison sentence. With that, Paddy quietly asks Adam to talk to him.

Adam locates Jackson and asks him to drop the charges against Aaron but he's initially evasive. He's shocked, though, when Adam reveals Aaron's suicide attempt.

Arriving at Smithy, Adam and Jackson knock on the door but Aaron tries to slam it in their faces. Aaron's furious and offers no kindness to Jackson, who quickly loses patience. Adam's incredulous at Aaron's stubbornness and exclaims that he just threw away his last chance of putting everything right.

Who'll stop Aaron as he continues on his road to self-destruction? Will Jackson give Aaron another chance?

Meanwhile, John's furious when the Land Rover doesn't start, despite the fact it's been in for repair. An angry John refuses to pay Cain until the job is done properly.

Eve and Andy, however, warn John about getting on the wrong side of Cain.

Elsewhere, Nicola's paranoid that everyone's talking about her as she and Jimmy hand out their wedding invitations. Later, Jimmy comforts a distraught Nicola, who's worried she could go to prison.

Also, David's shocked to learn that Val and Pollard are selling Farrers when they show an estate agent round; Diane and Charlie grow closer, much to Doug's annoyance; Cain winds Moira up about John and Eve; Terry annoys the Pollards when he announces that he's putting the B&B on the open market; and Bob's becoming increasingly angry with Viv.

Tensions rise between Eve and John

Airs on Tuesday, May 11 2010 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

Eve wanders into Butlers covered in mud and interrupts Adam and Andy. After she showers, she pulls a top on just as John walks in. Allowing himself a sneaky peek, John continues to flirt, which only encourages her.

Later in The Woolpack, Eve's flirting doesn't go unnoticed as she sidles up to John at the bar. Moira, meanwhile, is defensive as she points out Eve's flirty nature to John. The couple laugh off the incident but Moira slyly follows Eve to the toilets.

Feigning friendliness, she subtly warns Eve off married men. Will Eve take the hint? Or will the confrontation only encourage her to step up her game?

Meanwhile, Aaron overhears Paddy talking to Marlon and Rhona about prison. When Aaron interrupts them, Paddy instantly feels guilty. Aaron, however, is thoughtful as he worries about how much his problems are impacting on Paddy's life.

Elsewhere, Jimmy tries to assure Nicola that she's a good mum ahead of the social worker's visit. Later, Bob feels terrible when Jimmy reveals all about the visit.

Also, John squares up to Cain over the damaged Land Rover, so Cain secretly sabotages the car even more; and David's unsure when Leyla suggests that he make Pollard an offer on Farrers.

John refuses to pay Cain's car invoice

Airs on Wednesday, May 12 2010 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

John's furious when Andy explains that Cain's removed the clutch cable from the Land Rover. Storming into the garage, Cain provokes John to see how far he can be pushed.

Cain's relaxed demeanour grates on John but he refuses to rise to it and eventually leaves, refusing to pay the bill. Cain's livid over being out of pocket - but how far will Cain push John to get what he's owed?

Meanwhile, Chas is hurt when Aaron insists that he doesn't want or need her in court the following day. Later, Paddy and Chas implore Aaron to reveal the truth about his sexuality.

Aaron, however, is resolute and feigns bravado at being able to handle prison. Will Aaron maintain his macho act? Or come clean?

Elsewhere, the attraction between Diane and Charlie is palpable and she's impressed when he talks about his French chataeux. They share an intimate moment which is ultimately shattered when Doug returns home.

Also, Eve accidentally-on-purpose tells John about Moira warning her off him; Leyla tries to hide her disappointment when David reveals that they can't afford to buy Farrers; Nicola can't muster the enthusiasm to look at wedding dress samples; and Bob's unrepentant as he lies to evade dinner with Viv.

Aaron's taken aback when Jackson appears in court

Airs on Thursday, May 13 2010 at 19:00 BST on ITV1

Chas makes a last-ditch attempt to persuade Aaron to change his guilty plea but he's adamant about his decision and heads to court alone.

In the courtroom, Aaron's filled with warmth when he looks up to see the public gallery full of his friends and family. He's stumped, though, when he sees Jackson wander in.

The magistrate suggests that the case goes no as they have a guilty plea but asks the court if there is any further research. Feeling the pressure, Aaron looks up and sees the pain etched on his Paddy and Chas's faces. Will Aaron save himself by confessing the truth?

Meanwhile, Doug invites Diane out for the night and makes a point of telling Charlie about it.

However, Doug's devastated when Nathan forces him to work late, resulting in him having to cancel his date. Diane's later prickled with guilt when she sees how disappointed Doug is.

Elsewhere, Eve ramps up the flirting with John. Feigning an injury, Eve's pleased when John rushes to her aid. John, however, is all too aware of her game but he can't resist reciprocating.

Also, Moira suggests that John should drop his feud with Cain; Declan makes Nathan mark down everything in the shop by 25%; and David's attempt to secure a mortgage for Farrers raises Leyla's hopes.

Aaron bares his soul in court

Airs on Thursday, May 13 2010 at 20:00 BST on ITV1

Aaron stuns his family and friends when he tentatively comes clean about the real reason he attacked Jackson.

Following his revelation, Aaron's surprised when the court decides that he should be given a 150-hour community order as opposed to a custodial sentence.

Later, celebrating at Smithy, Adam lightly teases Aaron but it's clear that he's disappointed about Jackson leaving. Adam tries to assure Aaron that he did the right thing but it's clear that he's full of fear and regret as he begins to question whether he just made the biggest mistake of his life.

Can Aaron move on now everyone knows his secret? Or will he regret coming out?

Meanwhile, Diane tells Charlie that Doug cancelled their dinner plans. She's touched when Charlie insists that they grab something to eat instead. However, she feels terrible when Doug returns home to find her with Charlie.

Elsewhere, Natasha fumes at Nathan for throwing his weight around. She's also irritated at Declan for not consulting her before lowering the shop prices.

Also, Andy notices that John likes Eve more than he's letting on but John assures Andy that he loves Moira; and David's hopeful that she and Leyla will find a suitable house but she's not so sure.
