View Full Version : Little Mo actress would return
KACEY Ainsworth has hinted that her days on EastEnders may not be over - especially with Kat and Alfie coming back.
The former soap star, who played timid Little Mo, said she wouldn't rule out a return to Walford.
The 39-year-old told TV Biz: "I'd never say never. I love the fact that people like what I did when I was there."
As Little Mo ... Kacey with Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick)And she thinks Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie's comeback as Kat and Alfie Moon is going to be great for the BBC1 soap.
Kacey, who is going to join the cast of a West End show later this year, said: "I think it's great they are coming back. I don't know what the writers have got planned for them but it's always nice to see old faces back on the show.
"I made great friends there and if I return it would be lovely to see them."
When asked if her character would be back to stir things up for Alfie - who Little Mo used to involved with - Kacey coyly said: "That's classified information! I can't say any of that. But the bosses know what they are doing."
And she revealed that she was asked by chiefs to make an appearance in February's live 25th anniversary episode, but couldn't do it because she was on holiday.
Kacey added: "It would have been great. I wanted to support my close friend Jake Wood (Max Branning) and the others."
Meanwhile, the actress - who says she's still hooked on watching the soap - reckons that Barbara Windsor won't be away for long when she exits the show later this year.
Kacey said: "Barbara's going to go back isn't she. I think they will write a really good exit storyline, give her a rest and then she'll go back in again.
"Of course she will. It's not the same without her. She's so lovely and supportive to work with."

Here's another disolusionaled ex cast member giving her mind a treat. Just because Kat & Alfie are coming back to the square doesn't mean it gives Little Mo a three for the price of two offer. EE have had many opportunities to bring Little Mo back with Billy's problems but they haven't. Kacey needs to face the truth along with many other ex cast members they've had their day. get over it and move on.
exactly, bringing back characters annoys me, they should think to the future and the all the talent out there that havent had the chance yet.

I disagree, I think its often a good idea to bring old characters back, when there's a reason for it. There have been some comebacks that have been disastorous, kinda like Dirty Den. Although it worked initially, it was sensational, but the writers mucked it up by doing all that vendetta stuff between him and Dennis. I personally cant wait to see Kat back. She's an amazing character, and she spices up the Slater family. There are so many of them missing and its just not the same with just Charlie, Big Mo and Stacey. Especially cos Stacey is so depressive at the moment. As long as they do Kat and Alfie's characters justice and give them good storylines, it should be really great.
I would also like to see Little Mo back in the future. Maybe get her and Billy back together lol. The Bianca stuff has worked well. I'm glad she's back on the square. Its not the same, but it is working.

I have nothing against any show bringing back old characters if they are bringing quality to the show, but some of these cast members were sacked by the show because their acting was rubbish and they haven't had many if any acting roles since been given the chop why? because their acting is still rubbish. Why should liecence payers pay the bbc to bring back Mo and her squeeky voice just cause Kat and Alfie back.
Former EastEnders actress Kacey Ainsworth has admitted that she would be open to the possibility of returning to the soap.
Ainsworth - who played Little Mo Mitchell between 2000 and 2006 - has said that she would "never say never" to reprising the role.
She told The Sun that her lifestyle is suited to the working hours of a soap now that her children are at school full time.
Asked if she still watches EastEnders, she said: "I do every now and then. Obviously it's more difficult if I'm on stage in a play. And I see it all in the papers - Baby Shock or Jilted Sharon!
"But I don't envy them when the weather's cold. Albert Square had a particular weather pattern all of its own which was always sub-zero."
Ainsworth is a friend of actor Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning. She admitted that it would be "hilarious" if Little Mo returned and stole Max from the departing Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner).
"I still get lots of people asking me if I'd go back and you never say never," she noted. "It was a great job but I have had great fun since I left and a lot of that was because I wanted to look after my kids."
She then teased: "The hours on a soap just didn't work for me at that time but now they're both at full time school..."
The 44-year-old is currently working on sitcom The Wright Way with David Haig and Michael Falzon. The BBC One series was penned by Ben Elton.

once again some twitter buzz chatter that she is returning
She hasn't stepped foot on the Square for 10 years, but former EastEnders star Kacey Ainsworth still isn't ruling out a return for Little Mo.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain today (April 18), the actress reiterated that she would happily reprise the role if the story was right.
When asked if she was in talks to return, Ainsworth said: "We are always in talks because there possibility is a story to tell, but not at the moment because I've got too many other things to do."
Speculation has been rife about Little Mo returning ever since it was announced that Sean O'Connor would be taking over as the show's executive producer when Dominic Treadwell-Collins steps down later this year.
O'Connor was responsible for developing Little Mo and Trevor's huge domestic abuse storyline back in 2001.
She said: "The whole Trevor story was fantastic but it was a story and it was complete. I always feel like unless there is something new to tell there shouldn't be a reason to go back.
"But the Slaters had such a massive impact that there possibly would be things for them in the future."
