HEARTBROKEN Amira Masood clings *desperately to her husband Syed after he dramatically confesses he’s gay.

The babe, who had no idea of his true sexual *orientation when they married, is shocked when she *sees “Syed loves Christian” graffiti on the wall of their new flat.

Confused, she telephones Christian and demands to know why someone would say such a thing. Christian rushes over and is confronted by both Amira and Syed.

He admits he’s been sleeping with her *husband and that prompts Syed to confess.

He assures her he loves her but *admits he is gay and that his mum Zainab knew about it before they got married.

As the shocking revelation finally sinks in, Amira runs out in disbelief.

An insider said: “Everyone has gathered at the Masoods waiting to go to the flat so they can have a look around.

“But what none of them know is that it’s all gone off between Amira and Syed as she’s finally discovered he’s gay.

“He tries to appease her but when she finds out Zainab always knew he was gay she just can’t believe it.

“Most of their problems have been in the bedroom so at least she now knows why he’s been so cold and *distant. But she just doesn’t know what she’ll do next.

“It’s going to be one hell of a flat-warming when the guests arrive and find out what’s gone on.”

The emotional scenes will be screened on BBC1 a week tomorrow, April 26.

I can't believe Christian and Syed haven't got rid of the graffiti yet. They've had plenty of time to do so. Maybe Syed wants Amira to see it deep down.

Amira flees Walford as the truth is revealed

Airs on Monday, April 26 2010 at 20:00 BST on BBC One

Amira stares at the 'Syed Loves Christian' message scrawled over the wall in paint and demands to know who would write such a thing. After a call from Amira, Christian arrives and admits that the message is true - and they've been sleeping together for months. Unable to believe what she's hearing, Amira becomes hysterical as she struggles to deal with the fact that her world is falling apart. Stricken with turmoil, Amira insists that she and Syed can't break their wedding vows, while Christian reminds Amira of the baby's health. At that moment, Syed reveals that the pregnancy was a false alarm. With that, Syed reassures Amira that he loves her dearly, before finally admitting that he's gay. She's disgusted, though, to hear the revelation that Zainab and Masood already know. As the reality of the situation becomes too much, Amira runs.

Outside, Amira bumps into Masood who assures her that he and Zainab have tried to talk Syed into their way of thinking. Not wanting to make a spectacle of his problems, Syed agrees to carry on as if everything's normal but claim that the flat's flooded, meaning the flat warming party will be cancelled. At the Masoods', Christian arrives and on seeing him, Amira flies off the handle. In an attempt to calm Amira down, Zainab orders Christian to leave but he's adamant that he's going nowhere without Syed. Pushed to the limit, Amira reveals to everyone that she's not pregnant, before dropping the bombshell that Syed's gay. Embarrassed, Zainab tries to cover for her son but Syed admits that he's been having an affair with Christian for months.

Gobsmacked at the turn of events, Bushra turns to Masood and reveals that the news will spread quickly through the community, while outside in the Square, Syed publicly rejects Christian. As Amira packs her belongings, she seethes that she knew something wasn't right between Syed and Christian. Leaving for the taxi, she visits Chelsea to say her goodbyes. As Amira steps into the taxi, Chelsea urges her to look after her baby. Holding her stomach, Amira's tearful as her car drives out of Walford for good.

Elsewhere, Chelsea confides in Denise and Libby that she's carrying Jack's baby; Ben upsets Louise by excluding her when Abi and Jordan turn up at the house; Adam drunkenly broadcasts the news of Chelsea's pregnancy; Lucas and Denise argue over whether Chelsea should have an abortion; Ben's annoyed when he learns that Zsa Zsa asked Abi and Jordan to visit; Libby promises to stand by her sister, while Lucas preaches at her about the sanctity of life; Ben and Louise argue when she admits to reading his diary; and Chelsea resolves to keep her unborn baby.

The Masoods realise that Syed's gone

Tamwar unwraps what looks to be a framed photograph but quickly hides it when Zainab bounds into the room, fretting over who's gossiping about them. Going against his father's wishes, Tamwar calls Syed but he doesn't answer. Tamwar leaves his brother a message in the hope of meeting him later in the day. Discussing the business, Masood goes on to insist that they continue running the Masala Queen stall as if nothing's happened. Later, Zainab discovers Tamwar's photograph and peels away the wrapping. Inside, she discovers a family photograph. With that, Zainab resolves to make contact with her son.

Despite Masood's attempts at stopping her, Zainab heads out to find Syed. Wandering into The Vic, Zainab spots someone she believes to be Syed but when she calls his name, she quickly realises that it's not. Zainab's riled when she hears the locals talking about Syed and confronts them, before Roxy walks in with Christian. An argument breaks out between Christian and Zainab over her turning her back on her own son but when they realise that he's not been with either of them for the whole day, they begin to panic. Rushing to the flat, they find Tamwar alone - Syed's gone…

Meanwhile, Billie has a second interview for the army, much to Whitney's disappointment. Bumping into Ronnie later, Whitney asks about Jack but Ronnie's cold and distant. Whitney later asks Billie why he's not yet visited his uncle since he woke from his coma, to which Billie reluctantly responds that he's scared. With encouragement from Whitney, Billie finally plucks up the courage to stop by the hospital and apologise to Jack for his decisions. Jack, however, is furious that he had the audacity to turn up and orders him away. Upset by the reaction he received, Billie reaffirms his intention to sign up to the army to make Jack proud.

Elsewhere, Phil snaps at Charlie and Ricky when he overhears them joking about Syed being gay; Louise is happy to have caused problems by reading Ben's diary; Ronnie tells a guilt-ridden Roxy that Jack wants to see Amy; Fatboy and Leon find another present for Zsa Zsa from the 'Blue Masquerader'; Zainab's furious to hear Ronnie and Roxy gossiping about Syed; Phil overhears Louise laughing with her friends about Ben writing 'Leon is fit' in his diary and quickly snatches it off them; Becca's annoyed that Whitney's stall is thriving and so calls in a favour from Mo; Phil shows Shirley Ben's diary comments but Shirley points out that it's scrawled in a girl's handwriting, not Ben's; Pat and Peggy call Harvey to arrange dates; and Dot and Liz discuss the Masoods' situation, before Liz mentions that she's still not heard from Owen.

Here's Thursday's:-

Qadim turns up in search of Syed
Airs on Thursday, April 29 2010 at 19:30 BST on BBC One

Amira's father Qadim emerges from a black people carrier parked on George Street along with two right-hand men. Staring up at the flat above the Sari shop, Qadim clenches a set of keys in the hope of finding Syed inside. Concerned that Ben might be gay, Phil stops to talk with Masood but Masood's distracted by Qadim's presence in Walford. Walking into the flat with Qadim, Masood shuts the door on a bemused Phil. Inside, Qadim demands to speak with Syed about why he ruined Amira's life. When Qadim reveals his intention to wait for Syed to return home, Masood is clear - he has no idea where Syed is. While another plan forms in Qadim's mind, Jane spends the afternoon with Christian…

Meanwhile, Shirley assures Phil that Ben didn't write 'Leon is fit' in his diary and reminds him about the girl's handwriting, but they both wonder if Louise knows more than she's letting on. Phil, however, is adamant - Ben's not gay as he's a Mitchell. Later, Phil buys Ben a pool queue and despite not knowing how to play, Ben agrees to give it a go, much to Louise's annoyance. During the pool game, Phil asks Ben why Louise would write in his diary. Ben, however, feigns ignorance and lies that there's a girl at school he fancies. A relieved Phil returns home and questions Louise about why she sabotaged Ben's diary. Louise claims that she knows nothing about it, but is made to apologise anyway.

When Phil heads out, Ben agrees to keep an eye on Louise. However, when she refuses to apologise, Ben viciously states that if she doesn't say sorry, she'll learn the hard way like he did. With that, he grabs her arm and presses a metal spoon from a hot mug onto it - just as Stella did to him.

Elsewhere, Ronnie's surprised to discover that there's no money in the R&R safe; Pat and Peggy enjoy a day of pampering ahead of their dates with Harvey; Ronnie tells Roxy that she really misses her and that she wants them to be friends again; Chelsea listens on as Pat and Peggy reminisce about the old days; deciding to put the past behind them, Roxy invites Ronnie for dinner that evening; Peggy's sure that Pat's made up the fact she's going on a date - but they're completely unaware that they're both meeting Harvey; Danny jokes to Roxy that Ronnie's going to ask her for money but Roxy's dismissive of his claims; after successful separate dates with both Pat and Peggy, Harvey arranges to meet them both (separately!) again; and Roxy's taken aback when Ronnie asks if she can have the £150,000 she lost when Sam skipped bail.

So Amira really is pregnant...

I don't blame Roxy for asking Ronnie for her money, even though it's technically Peggy and Phil who owe her. She'll never get it back from them.

No Amira is not pregnant, she tells everyone that she's not before she leaves. It is Chelsea that is pregnant.

Well, I'm just going by the spoilers above: "As Amira steps into the taxi, Chelsea urges her to look after her baby. Holding her stomach, Amira's tearful as her car drives out of Walford for good."

We'd also discussed on another thread that Amira leaves the square with a secret, so I'm assuming this is it.

Yeah, it sounds like she is pregnant by that.. so they both are.. why would she say she is not?

Maybe because Syed would want to stay with her out of feeling responsible for the child, or she fears Zainab/Masood putting pressure on her to stay
