View Full Version : The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
After meeting with such high-profile directors as Sofia Coppola and Gus Van Sant, it seems Summit Entertainment has finally found their man for the next Twilight project. Bill Condon, the director of the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls, is said to be the studio's first choice to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen, reports Entertainment Weekly. Summit is also looking to split up The Twilight Saga's fourth novel - which clocks in at 756 pages - into two films, with the first part focusing on Bella's (Kristen Stewart) marriage and pregnancy, and part two following her transition from mortal to vampire.
The release date for part two of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has been confirmed.
Summit Entertainment announced today that the second instalment of the Breaking Dawn films will show in theatres from November 16, 2012, a year after the first, which will be released on November 18, 2011.
Bill Condon will direct both movies, which star Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Ashley Green and Kellan Lutz will also feature in the pictures.
Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the scripts for all the Twilight films, has been working on the screenplays.
Im kinda glad they are splitting it, but I dont there is as much need like Harry Potter, maybe I need to reread the book

Vampires in the Twilight universe often like to hunt in packs, and it would seem that they like to be cast in them too – mere days after Maggie Grace snagged the role of troubled female fang club member Irina, the rest of her family has come together for Breaking Dawn, with MyAnna Buring, Mia Maestro, Casey Labow and Christian Camargo all joining the film as various members of the Denali clan. You might remember from Grace’s casting story that the Denali is the only other group besides the Cullens that have pledged to stay “vegetarian”, and not feed from or hunt humans.

This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly includes the first official photo from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, and here it is! Yes, that’s Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattison) sharing a bed as man and wife on their wedding night. Anticipation for the Twilight series’ fourth movie (due in theaters Nov. 18) is running high, and director Bill Condon tells EW that this was the one scene in particular he spent a lot of time thinking about. “You want to live up to people’s expectations,” he says. “People take [the movie and characters] personally. When you are interpreting something you have a certain vision of how it will be. Sometimes it is a liberal interpretation, but you hope you get to the essence of something.”
