Kevin continues to fret about Molly's pregnancy

As Molly and Tyrone prepare to visit Molly's father Diggory, Kevin offers to fix the brakes on their car. Kevin, however, can't concentrate and finding Molly again, he insists that she has an abortion.

Kevin goes on to argue that they could all then get on with their lives - and she could go on to have a baby she could guarantee is Tyrone's.

Furious, Molly refuses and orders him to leave her alone. Back at the garage, Tyrone presumes that the car is ready and heads off with Molly.

He's completely unaware, though, that he's stepped into a death trap - as Kevin's not finished fixing the brakes…

Meanwhile, as Gary prepares to leave, Anna's sad but so proud of her mature son. Gary plays his heroics down but doesn't confess that he's actually AWOL. Gary's nowhere to be found when a warrant officer calls to reveal that Gary's gone missing.

Elsewhere, Lloyd finds Cheryl's phone in the back of his taxi; John throws himself back into teaching; Lloyd's intrigued to see Cheryl enter a strip bar; and Fiz panics when John's late home from work.


The brakes fail on Molly and Tyrone's car

Kevin's horrified to discover that Tyrone's taken the car but when he calls the mobile, Molly insists that he turn the phone off so they can enjoy the drive.

Unaware of the impending danger, Molly and Tyrone continue along the road, while Kevin jumps into the breakdown truck in a bid to catch up with them. However, Molly and Tyrone stop for a pub lunch and take a different route.

As they set off again down a country lane, their car hits a pothole and Tyrone's helpless as he squeezes the brakes which fail. With that, the car catapults through a hedge, rolling and ends up on its roof. Will Molly and Tyrone survive?

Meanwhile, Rosie gives Sophie a makeover in a bid to cheer her up, presuming that she's having boy trouble. Sophie perks up until Ryan reveals that he's spoken to Sian and they may be getting back together. Sophie's heart breaks.

Elsewhere, Cheryl's grateful to have her phone back but doesn't take too kindly to a flirty Lloyd who's far from put off by the fact she's a stripper; and Anna begins to worry about why Gary's gone AWOL when he claims that he loved the army so much.


Molly's rushed to the hospital

As Tyrone regains consciousness in the wake of the car crash, he sees Molly's lifeless body before him. Panicking, he scrambles out of the car and runs to the main road in search of help. Having dialled 999, Tyrone sprints back to the scene of the accident.

Kevin's on his way home when he hears emergency service sirens. Fearing the worst, he follows them and is stunned to see the car wreckage. Kevin and Tyrone watch on helplessly as Molly's cut from the wreckage and rushed into an ambulance.

At the hospital, Kevin admits that he hadn't finished the brakes but before Tyrone can react, he's taken to see his wife. Molly's still unconscious and while a scan confirms that their baby is still alive, Tyrone's distraught to hear that as long as his wife's life hangs in the balance, her unborn baby's life remains at stake.

Terrified at the prospect of losing both his wife and what he presumes to be his child, Tyrone cries on Kevin's shoulder.

Meanwhile, after confiding in Sunita about the person she loves rejecting her, Sophie decides to take her advice and let Sian go. Calling Lee, Sophie arranges a date but it's clear that her heart's really not in it.

Cheryl finds Lloyd in the cab office and apologises for being standoffish the previous day, explaining that she hates people knowing what she does. As the pair chat, their chemistry is apparent. But the spell's broken when Teresa arrives, making it clear that Lloyd's taken.

Elsewhere, John and Fiz discuss the practicalities of his double life.


Sophie reluctantly goes on another date with Lee

Having spent a sleepless night at Molly's bedside, Tyrone's pleased to hear that she's now in a stable condition. Regaining consciousness, Molly asks what happened and when Pam angrily reveals that Kevin didn't fix the brakes on the car, she begins to wonder if he sabotaged the motor.

Full of guilt, Kevin arrives at the hospital but Molly's gunning for him, accusing him of deliberately trying to kill her and the baby. Kevin's horrified by her claims and explains that he's there to apologise for pressuring her over a termination.

Molly, however, tells him to save it for the police. With that, Kevin begins to panic.

Meanwhile, Sophie's going through the motions as she dresses in Rosie's clothes, before heading out for her date with Lee.

Later, Sian arrives at the Websters' in search of Sophie but when she sees her looking cosy with Lee, she's horrified. Devastated, Sian rushes off.

Elsewhere Audrey refuses to accept Rita's olive branch; and Anna's upset to hear that Gary faces court-martial and a custodial sentence when he's eventually found.

Kevin panics that Molly's willing to tell the police everything in a bid to keep him away from her baby. However, with a doting Tyrone by her side, her resolve fades.

Returning to the hospital, Kevin goes to thank Molly for agreeing to keep everything quiet but she bitterly insists that she didn't do it for him.

Realising that it's not fair on Tyrone or the baby to be around Kevin, Molly reveals her intention to move away from Weatherfield….

Meanwhile, when Rosie reveals to Sophie that Sian called, she ditches Lee and races after her. Finding her waiting for a cab, Sian's initially angry but as Sophie explains how every minute of her date with Lee felt wrong, Sian softens.

Awash with confusion, Sian admits that she doesn't love girls but she does love Sophie. As Sian kisses her, Sophie responds.

Agreeing to keep their relationship quiet until after their exams, the girls say an emotional goodbye.

Elsewhere, Audrey is cheered when Lewis pays her a visit; Ken hits on the idea of attic conversion; and Audrey and Rita finally resolve to let bygones be bygones.
