Does anybody remember this? It had Patricia Routledge who starred in Keeping Up Appearences as the wonderful Hyacinth.

Yes, I remember it. I didn't watch mainly because of the Hyacinth character- she reminded me too much of my mum!

It was quite good actually, a sort of old fashioned thing.
I sometimes watch the repeats on Sky.

So she plays a completely different type of character?

My parents loved keeping up appearances - I think they took it seriously , lol

Yes she played a detective.

That would be her job, not her character. I meant is she still playing a middle class type, patronising and snobbish, or is she completely different. I.e working class old biddy with a nose for gossip?

She plays a different role to Hyacinth yes.
