Girls Aloud are reportedly considering continuing as a four-piece without Nadine Coyle.

Band member Sarah Harding recently said that she has not seen Coyle for "ages" and is unsure of the group's future, while Kimberley Walsh has previously hinted that Coyle is holding up the group's reunion.

According to the News of the World, the band were angry when they read that Coyle said she has no plans to work on new Girls Aloud material this year.

"They're tired of her mucking them around," a source revealed. "The girls always had the end of 2010 booked in to record their next album and all of them, other than Nadine, still want to go ahead.

"If Nadine refuses they could simply go ahead as the four of them. It's not ideal and they would rather find a way to make it work, but she doesn't seem to be interested in that."

The insider added that Coyle has not been in touch with any of her bandmates recently, explaining: "The other four are still best of friends and have been rallying around Cheryl [Cole] during this tough time. That's very telling and it could be a sign of things to come. The band could survive without her. Some fans would be disappointed but they'd rather Girls Aloud continue with four members than not go on at all."

The source concluded: "Nadine is essentially mucking the other girls around. They are ready and waiting. But it's become clear to us her heart doesn't seem to be in the band."

Cheryl Cole recently confirmed that Girls Aloud have signed a deal to release at least three more albums.

Nadine Coyle has denied speculation of a rift in Girls Aloud.

Recent reports have suggested that band member Cheryl Cole has felt betrayed by Coyle, while some sources have claimed that the group may continue as a four-piece without her.

However, Coyle has insisted that she has a good relationship with her bandmates and added that they would remain friends even if Girls Aloud split up.

According to Bang Showbiz, she said: "Whenever we decide or the public decides that we're not needed or wanted anymore, things will be great between us. They really will because they can't not be.

"The girls are family. You can fall out with them, but you can't lose them."

Sarah Harding has denied reports that she will release a solo album.

The Girls Aloud singer, who recently suggested that she was recording an LP, said that she will not release a solo record but wants to do more work in music and film.

"I never said I was going solo," Tellymix quotes her as saying. "Can I just straighten that out? I'm still wanting to do music and involve myself more in film."

Harding announced her acting plans for the next year although added that it is too early to reveal specific details.

"I love thrillers. I'd love to do something quite psychological, paranormal. I'm a bit sort of sinister like that but I also love comedy as well, I love a good comedy," she explained.

"I've got a few things I want to do this year. I've got a few bits and bobs but it's too early to talk about, things in production and all that. There's possible TV and possible film, bit of both."

The 28-year-old dismissed the possibility of a musical role, claiming that it would be better suited for bandmate Kimberley Walsh.

She said: "I'm not… I think Kimberley would be amazing at musicals actually. She loves musicals, she knows every single one inside out. I think I'd give that one to her."

Nadine Coyle is the best singer in the group

Dead right she's the best singer. The others will want her back in the group because without her their musical careers are over.

Girls Aloud have reportedly decided to reunite in 2011 without Nadine Coyle.

Band members Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have planned a comeback as a four-piece group as they feel that they have grown apart from the Irish vocalist, according to The Sun.

"It's been a painful decision for Sarah, Nicola, Kimberley and Cheryl but they have decided that the future of Girls Aloud lies without Nadine," a source told the publication.

"They've all been on a roller-coaster ride since 2002 and have just grown apart from Nadine. Relations with her had been strained within the camp for a while. Disputes began cropping up towards the final days of the band before they went on a hiatus."

The insider continued: "The four remaining girls want to return on their own terms - and avoiding any squabbles is a high priority. That's why they have decided to go on without Nadine."

Coyle recently admitted that she is in "no rush" to reunite with the band as they are all pursuing solo projects.

Girls Aloud have dismissed tabloid reports that they are planning to reunite without Northern Ireland girl Nadine Coyle.

A spokesman for the band’s label denied rumours the other four band members were planning to “oust” the Londonderry singer (left).

Reports have suggested that Nadine (25) has been steadily growing apart from Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding since moving to California in 2006.

A source told The Sun: “Relations with her had been strained within the camp for a while. Disputes began cropping up towards the final days of the band before they went on a hiatus.

“The four remaining girls want to return on their own terms — and avoiding any squabbles is a high priority. That's why they have decided to go on without Nadine.”

But the group's spokesperson has denied those reports, saying they had signed a record deal and would be releasing their sixth studio album as a five-piece. No release date has yet been given.

Last month, Coyle admitted she was “in no rush” to reunite the group.
