Coronation Street star Beverley Callard is to reveal details of her battle against depression in a new book.
The actress, best known for her role as Weatherfield's Liz McDonald, has been working on autobiography Unbroken which is to be released next month.
Callard recently confessed that she has been receiving treatment after suffering a serious breakdown. It is thought that her problems began last year after her pub business in Cheshire failed.
A synopsis released by her book's publisher Hodder reads: "Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard's real-life story is even more colourful than her character's - three broken marriages, 20 years on the nation's favourite soap and jaw-dropping revelations of breakdowns and bankruptcy.
"It is a life of tremendous highs and devastating lows, and set to be the most gripping read of this spring."
After confirming her personal problems earlier this month, Callard explained that she wished to be open about her treatment in an attempt to lift the stigma which can surround mental health issues.
Unbroken will be released on April 15.
