2781: The police discover Holly's coat
Airs on Monday, March 22 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

As Ste and the kids walk Amy to work, they're disturbed to spot a figure sleeping in the bushes. They're stunned, though, when a homeless Josh emerges! With that, Amy heads off to work, leaving the boys in the park. Momentarily distracted by a phone call, Ste loses sight of Leah.

Ste starts to panic, just as Josh arrives with Leah in hand. Thinking the worst, Ste lashes out - until he realises that Josh found her and was only returning her to him. The lads have a heart-to-heart and softening to his feckless rival, Ste invites Josh to stay with him and Amy again.

Amy's surprised to find Josh in the flat when she returns home after work but is pleased that the boys seem to have buried the hatchet - for now!

Meanwhile, as press attention and public interest in the 'Find Holly' campaign begin to wane, Cindy becomes desperate. When a card arrives at her door from a local psychic, she can't help but be intrigued by what she could have to say.

When Tony and Frankie return to the flat to pick up more leaflets, they find Cindy packing Holly's clothes into bin bags. They're concerned to hear about her visit to the psychic and disturbed by the news that the 'death card' made an appearance in the tarot reading.

Convinced that the worst has happened to Holly, Cindy despairs and no amount of consolation can help her. As Tony tries to make sense of what Cindy's going through, a call from the police distracts him - Holly's jacket has been found with a recent bus ticket in its pocket...

The call restores some optimism but raises the question - if Holly's still alive, where exactly is she?

There's a mysterious presence watching Jake's every move as he goes about his business in the village. When Loretta makes herself known, Jake's shocked and angry at her return. She begs him to forgive her, explaining how hard it was for her when Jake was accused of taking Holly. Jake listens to reason, but will he be convinced by what she has to say?

Elsewhere, Newt pays Rae a visit as she's composing her last will and testament. As she rushes to hide her notebook, Newt's intrigued. In turn, she tries to catch a glimpse of his graphic novel but he's quick to hide it. They eventually make a pact - he'll show her his if she'll show him her's.

Newt's astonished to see that she's been writing a will and tries to make light of the situation, hoping she'll forget about the curse she fears so much. The shock is sweetened, though, when he discovers her intention to leave her CD collection to him. Does this mean that she likes him?

2782: Jake finds Holly
Airs on Tuesday, March 23 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

With the news that Holly's coat has been found, a fresh buzz of hope surrounds the village. As everyone congregates for the renewed hunt, there's one unwelcome volunteer - Jake. Cindy refuses to have him anywhere near the operation and reluctantly complying with her wishes, he slopes off.

As the search grinds to a halt for the day, the police struggle to cope with Cindy and Tony's mounting frustrations. At that moment, Jake staggers among the melee carrying an injured Holly.

Expecting to be the hero of the hour, Jake is sorely mistaken and finds himself clamped into handcuffs and arrested. As Jake's interrogation begins, fear overwhelms him as he realises that he's the prime suspect in Holly's kidnapping…

Meanwhile, as the hunt for Holly gathers pace, she's comfortably ensconced in Spencer's flat. As he raises concerns and suggests that it's time she went home, Holly informs him that they both stand the chance of being thrown into prison if she returns now.

Instead, Holly convinces Spencer to accompany her to the village so he can buy her a new coat. Heavily disguised, Holly lingers by the bus stop, while Spencer ventures into Cincerity. A passing Jake can't believe his eyes when he recognises the youngster as Holly.

Aware that she's been spotted, Holly flees with Jake hot on her tail. As she runs, she trips and cracks her head on the pavement. At the hospital, an unconscious Holly's life hangs by a thread…

Elsewhere, Newt's alarmed by Rae's macabre fixation with her curse and looks for ways to lighten her mood. Enlisting Rae's help on his graphic novel, Newt's thrilled that they appear to be on the same wavelength. However, she soon berates him for being too dismissive of her curse.

Researching spells on the internet, Newt takes matters into his own hands and Rae's touched to find herself at the centre of his 'protection spell'. Tying a locket around Rae's neck, Newt suggests that she keeps it with her at all times. Capitalising on the tender moment, he leans in for a kiss.

However, Rae's outraged that he could take advantage of her at such a vulnerable period in her life and storms off. Has Newt blown his chances with Rae before they've even started…?

As Holly's life hangs in the balance, Cindy and Tony's relationship takes a turn for the worse. Cindy has her sights firmly set on revenge, determined to punish Jake for what's happened to Holly. Feeling unsupported by Tony, Cindy tells him that she wants some space.

Darren arrives at the hospital and receives a warm welcome from Cindy but when he tries to leave, Cindy pleads with him to stay. Frustrated that he won't, she turns on him. Alone in the hospital, Cindy makes a decision and leaves with a mission in mind.

As Cindy marches through the village, she's stunned to see Tony working in Il Gnosh - and it suddenly dawns on her that he's more interested in his business than her.

Meanwhile, Mercedes is struggling to keep her secret. Bored of Carmel endlessly talking about Calvin, Mercedes finds that she's unable to contain her emotions and is becoming more and more miserable by the day.

To cheer his wife up, Malachy offers to take her for a meal. When Carmel hears that Malachy and Mercedes are going to Il Gnosh, she suggests a double date. Malachy's horrified but has no other option than to agree. It's a tension-filled evening as Malachy and Mercedes both struggle to contain their angst - for very different reasons - in Calvin's company…

Elsewhere, Jake's the target of anger and abuse when he returns to the village after being questioned about Holly. Frankie and Loretta welcome him with open arms but Steph has reservations about his innocence. As Frankie pushes Steph to be more supportive, Steph finally snaps, too, leaving Frankie with an ultimatum - her or Jake. Frankie's torn.

As Jake and Loretta hide at the Osbornes', Jake receives a phone call from a mysterious woman. Trying to reassure Loretta that everything's okay, he pops out to pick up a bottle of wine.

Hours go by, though, and there's no sign of Jake. Fearing his absence implies guilt over Holly's disappearance, Steph decides to call the police.

2784: Tony warns Darren off Cindy
Airs on Thursday, March 25 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Cindy and Tony are caught in a living hell as Holly's condition fails to improve. With no sign of Tony at the hospital, Cindy's grateful when Darren arrives with a CD for Holly to listen to. The mood turns sour, though, when Darren breaks the news of Jake's disappearance to a furious Cindy.

Persuading her to take a break and have a drink in The Dog only lands Darren in more trouble, especially when she sees an article about Jake. Taking an emotional Cindy home, they bump into Loretta and a heated exchange ensues.

At the flat, Tony's furious when he walks in on Darren and Cindy in a compromising position. Disgusted that Darren could take advantage of his wife at such a vulnerable time, Tony vows to kill him if he ever goes near her again…

Meanwhile, excitement mounts on the eve of Duncan's 16th birthday party. Realising that he's forgotten to book a DJ, Duncan agrees to let Rae and Ricky audition. Rushing home to grab his records, disaster strikes for Ricky when he finds his dad on the floor. All thoughts of the party are instantly forgotten.

As time ticks by, Ricky knows that he's missed his audition but his dad realises that something's afoot and sends him off to The Dog anyway. Duncan's miffed by Ricky's late arrival but agrees to let him audition anyway. Ricky's heart sinks, though, when he realises he's left his records at home!

With tempers fraying, Ricky's had enough of Duncan's selfish ways and tells him exactly what he thinks, before heading off. At the invite drop, mayhem ensues as the tickets are issued. However, Duncan cuts a lonely figure as he casts his eyes into the waiting crowd. Will Ricky forgive Duncan's selfish ways and attend his best friend's party?

Elsewhere, Jake's disappearance remains a mystery and his family's concern begins to turn to doubt over his innocence in the Holly situation. Loretta's beside herself and seeks guidance from Darren, insisting that something sinister has happened to Jake. Darren, however, is convinced that Jake's lying low until the fuss dies down.

A frantic Loretta searches the village for clues as to Jake's disappearance and eventually catches up with Steph. Demoralised to find that Steph has nearly given up hope over her brother's innocence, Loretta vows to stand by her man.

TV cameras descend on Hollyoaks to film Duncan's 16th birthday bash at The Loft.

With special guest Chipmunk set to wow the crowds, nothing can apparently go wrong! And with his sights firmly set on Theresa McQueen, Duncan's on top of the world.

Duncan's thrilled when Ricky arrives but when Ricky points out that Theresa's only using Duncan to get on TV, things quickly turn sour. With that, Ricky leaves. DJ Rae is miffed to spot Newt with Lauren and lets her jealousy show.

After a frank chat with Lauren, Rae resolves to get her relationship with Newt back on track. As the party gets into full swing, Duncan feels neglected. Duncan finally realises that his party is nothing without his best mate and so heads off in the hope of making amends.

Meanwhile, as Holly remains unconscious and shows no sign of making an improvement, Tony and Cindy's relationship continues to sour. Tony finally succeeds in persuading Cindy to go home and rest but he inadvertently angers her further when he chooses to go into work.

As Cindy takes some time out, Darren pays her a visit. While they talk, Cindy breaks down and reveals to Darren how scared she is. Across the village, though, Tony seeks solace in Theresa. When Cindy catches Tony and Theresa looking a little too close for comfort, she storms off. With that, Tony charges after her and a row ensues.

Darren springs to Cindy's defence, prompting Tony to once again question Darren's motives. Rejecting both men, Cindy finds herself alone at the hospital where the tears finally begin to roll.
