2776: Josh walks in on Rhys and India about to kiss
Airs on Monday, March 15 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Josh receives an earful from Ste for his lack of help around the flat - it's time he started pulling his weight. With that, Josh storms out. His need to speak to India paramount, Josh becomes increasingly frustrated when she fails to respond to his text messages. He faces more antagonism when he clashes with Ste and Ravi in Relish. Anita surprises him, though, with her views on the crash and an unlikely alliance is forged.

Tempers soon fray when Lauren appears and as the atmosphere turns sour, Ravi's left with no other option than to kick Josh out. Seeking refuge in the SU, Josh comes face to face with Dave, who's surprised by how rough his former friend is looking.

Dave makes tentative steps to discover where Josh is staying but finds it difficult talking to him as he's still furious over being ostracised from the group. Dave eventually persuades him to go up to halls and Josh agrees, hoping that he may just see India…

Meanwhile, a guilt ridden Rhys is determined to track down his brother. With his calls continually rejected, Rhys heads out to search for him, completely unaware that Josh is heading into the pub - they've just missed each other. Gilly once again attempts to talk to Josh about his drinking but full of self-loathing, Josh abruptly leaves. Rhys soon runs into India and although wracked with guilt over the accident, decidedly accepts her offer of lunch.

As they grow closer, talk turns to Josh and the crash. India confesses how difficult she's finding things in the aftermath of the incident. Appreciating that Rhys is in the same position, her compassion fuels his guilt as he struggles to deal with his emotions. Rhys is torn - should he follow his heart, or back off in respect to his brother?

The situation comes to a head when Josh walks in and sees Rhys and India about to kiss. Josh is appalled to find his brother and India so close and launches himself at Rhys…

Elsewhere, Calvin's accosted by Josh who's in search of a job. Calvin soon sends him packing, though, as he's the last person he'd help after nearly killing his sister.

In the village, Lauren and Gaz's kissing session is brought to an abrupt halt when an annoyed Leo intervenes. Pushed into a corner, Gaz threatens Leo and tells him that he has photographic evidence on his phone of the bruises he gave him - and he's not scared to show the school if he has too. With his job at stake, Leo immediately backs down, leaving a smug Gaz victorious.

At his wit's end, Leo turns to Calvin and confesses his fears about Gaz's threat, but Calvin insists that he can't rule his sisters' lives anymore - he has to put Carmel first.

Catching up with Gaz later, Calvin infuriates Lauren when he seizes his phone and smashes it, destroying the evidence in the process. Calvin tells Leo that it's time he started taking his parenting duties seriously…



2777: Lauren and Gaz sleep together
Airs on Tuesday, March 16 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Lauren's suspicious of Calvin's attempts to make amends following his run in with Gaz the previous day. When Calvin invites Lauren to help out at The Loft, she's glad of the attention but is disappointed when he lets her down, instead leaving her with Spencer.

A bored Lauren calls Gaz and they're soon they're up to no good, stealing Spencer's bank card to buy products online. When Spencer catches them spending money as his expense, they lie, insisting that they were donating to the 'Save Holly' campaign.

Later, Lauren invites Gaz back to the Valentines' on a promise - they'll finally manage to sleep together. Lauren and Gaz are still in bed semi-naked when Calvin arrives home, though, and with that, he throws Gaz out.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere's tense as Rhys and Josh come face-to-face following their fight. Despite being consumed with guilt over the part he played in the crash, Rhys agrees to forget about their brawl. He's frustrated, though, when Josh announces that he's quitting college. Jem, however, takes pity on Josh and they decide to spend the day together.

After a few drinks, Josh becomes loose-lipped and tells Jem details about Gilly's past conquests. Rhys, meanwhile, tries to keep his distance from India but it proves difficult as she's determined to win him over.

Following Josh's gossiping, Jem and Gilly have their first major row, resulting in Jem removing her engagement ring. Gilly's fuming and makes it clear that Josh has lost one of his only allies.

Elsewhere, Des continues to wind Nancy up about her love life but on this occasion, she decides to exact revenge. With that, Nancy reminds Des that the school's about to be visited by Ofsted inspectors and that he should be bringing his work up to scratch. After seeing Des panic, Nancy offers to help. As a thank you, they share a takeaway and a bottle of wine - a friendship is forged.

Later, though, as Nancy lies in bed, Des enters and reveals his peculiar nocturnal habit…


2778: Gaz makes a bold suggestion to Lauren
Airs on Wednesday, March 17 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Lauren's troubled after sleeping with Gaz and confides in Cheryl about her concerns. Cheryl's dying to hear the gossip but quickly realises that it was probably Gaz's first time. With that, she helps Lauren try to figure out how to broach the subject with Gaz. The girls go for lunch in Relish and Lauren's glad of the attention until Gilly arrives, prompting Cheryl to quickly cast the youngster her aside. Fed up, Lauren goes home in a mood.

When Gaz bumps in to her and tries to be seductive, she blurts out that she knows that he was a virgin. At first, Gaz is upset but Lauren talks him around, explaining that she wants them to be able to talk about things together. Lauren and Gaz sleep together again and bemoan the fact that everyone else is on their case. Determined to prove a point, Gaz suggests that they fleece Spencer of his cash and run away from Hollyoaks - the two of them against the world.

Meanwhile, Duncan receives the call he's been waiting for from a TV producer. Duncan's hoping that his upcoming 16th birthday party will be featured on a reality show. Keen to impress the TV boss, Duncan asks Ricky to help him brainstorm ideas but Ricky's preoccupied, keen to get back to his dad. Duncan's on a high, though, and almost ignores Ricky as he tries to explain that his dad is really ill.

Ricky eventually snaps and returns home - he has far more important things to deal with. Despite Ricky's departure, Duncan's keen to enlist Theresa, certain that she'll help win the TV producer around. Initially, Theresa won't give Duncan the time of day but when she realises that she might end up on telly, she's immediately on board.

The TV producer is taken by Theresa and Duncan's double act and he's certain that they'll make TV gold. Duncan goes to tell Ricky the good news but Ricky shows little enthusiasm for Duncan's blossoming TV career. The boys fall out over the situation and Ricky's left to cope with his dad alone.

Jem's nervous about seeing Gilly following their argument and desperately tries to find her engagement ring after throwing it. Gilly realises that their argument was totally blown out of all proportions and resolves to get their relationship back on track. However, when Jem finds Gilly and Cheryl in a 'compromising position', their reconciliation is immediately put on hold.

Gilly tracks Jem down to explain what happened but Jem's concerned that their relationship isn't working now they're back from their travels. Gilly tries to convince her that they're meant to be together and insists that he'll do anything to make it work.

Elsewhere, Nancy has to broach the delicate subject of Des urinating on her bed the previous night but it's clear he doesn't remember anything about the incident. When Des mocks her for looking rough in the morning, Nancy takes offence and tells him exactly why!

Des is mortified that his secret is out and explains his little problem but insists that it only happens when he's stressed. Nancy can't help but winding him up, though, and teasingly asks whether Jacqui now about his 'little problem'.

Des begs Nancy not to say anything but Jacqui's suspicious that there's something going on between them, especially when Des makes excuses not to stay over at her place.


2779: The McQueens receive shock news
Airs on Thursday, March 18 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Myra throws a house party after a big win on the bingo. Zak's furious with Michaela on her return from Disneyland as she told him that the party was fancy dress - but he's the only one in costume! To add insult to injury, Michaela hasn't brought him anything from her trip. She manages to win him round, though, promising a much better gift.

Later, Malachy's seething when he sees Calvin and Mercedes together in the bedroom. He pulls Calvin aside and closely watches his reaction as he tells him that he and Mercedes may be starting a family.

Jacqui's in the loving mood but her attitude quickly changes when Des panics about staying over. With that, she immediately accuses him of wanting to be with Nancy. As the drink flows, it's far from harmonious at the McQueens' as all couples argue.

Carmel, however, is cheered when Calvin tells her how much he means to her. With the party is in full flow, the McQueens discover a shock letter from the council - and are all reeling by its contents....

Meanwhile, Duncan excitedly plans his birthday party for the reality TV show. Theresa invites Duncan to the McQueens' party in order to guarantee that she'll be his on-screen date.

Duncan's delighted about the invite but Darren tells him that Theresa's only using him and that he needs to make her really want him. That said, Darren convinces Duncan that he has all the skills needed to turn him in to the world's most desirable man.

Elsewhere, Sasha returns from Disneyland and is annoyed to find Lauren with Gaz after everything he's done. Sasha catches Gaz with the PSP that she brought back for Spencer and accuses him of stealing it, but Spencer insists that she's made a mistake - Gaz was only teaching him how to play a new game.

Realising that she's putting the same pressure on Lauren that her family did to her when she was with Warren, Sasha relents and allows Gaz and Lauren spend time together - as long as Gaz is out of the house before their dad gets home.

2780: Josh reveals the truth to Rhys
Airs on Friday, March 19 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

It's Josh's birthday and Ste's patience is wearing thin when he finds him hungover on the sofa at the flat. Worried about the effect that Josh is having on the kids, an angry Ste tells him that it's time he sorted himself out.

Frustrated that he's being badgered, Josh leaves the flat and heads to The Dog, where an anxious Rhys has to explain their parents won't be around for his birthday. A resentful Josh starts drinking and before too long, he turns nasty.

Gilly attempts to get to the bottom of Rhys and India's 'friendship', but Rhys evades answering his questions. A worried Amy finally tracks Josh down and encourages him to make amends with his family. Mistaking her concern for something more, Josh leans in for a kiss.

Spurning his advances, Amy puts him straight, before walking away. Josh apologises to Rhys and Gilly for his earlier tantrum but India's appearance heralds a return to his dark mood. Rhys is further shocked when Josh makes a shock announcement that threatens the brothers' relationship forever…

Meanwhile, Leo has a spring in his step and a twinkle in his eye after spending the night with Myra. Insisting that it's time he started behaving like a good dad, Leo announces to Calvin that he's cooking a family meal. Lauren has other ideas, though, and upsets Sasha with her selfishness when she refuses to attend the meal if Gaz isn't invited. Gaz assures Lauren that if the family meal means that much to her, he'll sweet-talk Spencer into bagging him an invite.

Later, though, Leo's furious when Calvin reveals that Lauren and Gaz in bed together. Calvin suggests that Leo should calm down as he doesn't want to make the same mistake he did when Sasha became involved with Warren - in turn, he'll only end up pushing Lauren and Gaz closer together.

Calvin suggests they should kill Lauren's relationship with Gaz through kindness. Leo agrees and takes great delight in watching Gaz splutter his way through a very spicy family meal. Aware that Leo's playing dirty, Gaz continues to rile him until finally he's eventually turfed out.

Elsewhere, the McQueens are reeling as the news of the compulsory purchase order begins to sink in. As Jacqui, Mercedes and Michaela discuss the pros and cons of moving, they soon decide to move into places of their own. Pulling out all the stops to save the house, Carmel's surprised when Myra suggests that it might be God's will that they move out.

Carmel, however, won't let Myra give up so easily and when the other sisters agree that they'll back Myra whatever she decides, the family matriarch begins to waver. Myra finally decides that she's going to stay put - if the council want a fight, then that's what they'll get.
