CORONATION Street has suffered a snub after missing out on a nomination for the prestigious Royal Television Society programme awards.

EastEnders, The Bill and Casualty will fight it out for the soap and continuing drama gong on 16 March 16.

The setback comes after Corrie took the best soap prize at the National Television Awards in January - beating EastEnders for the first time since 2004.
