Perfect Blend can exclusively reveal that Sandy Winton has joined the regular Neighbours cast. 40-year-old Sandy has had guest roles in numerous Australian dramas, but is best known for his role as Heath Barratt in McLeod's Daughters back in 2007. Sandy will play Erinsborough High's new principal, Michael Williams, and will be joined on screen by Valentina Novakovic, who will appear as Michael's teenage daughter Natasha. Sandy and Valentina will first appear on Australian screens in May.

Neighbours star Sandy Winton has joked co-star Valentina Novakovic treats him like a sad old dad in real life.
The soap star plays head teacher Michael Williams, father to tearaway teen Natasha, played by Valentina, and he told Inside Soap magazine they get on just like a real father and daughter.
Sandy said: "When we first started working together, we caught up and I had her over for a few meals with my family.
"We slipped into the father-daughter roles very easily. If I ever make a joke on set, she'll be the one who rolls her eyes.
"Sometimes I find myself having to bite my tongue and not tell her what to do as well!"
But the 41-year-old actor also revealed if he could play any other character in the show it would be his daughter Tash, because it seems such fun.
He said: "She's such a devious and naughty person. I could have a lot of fun with that.
"Other than her, I'd be Michael's nemesis Paul Robinson. There's just something about playing the bad guy that's very rewarding."
