David helping Gail i'm shocked
David helping Gail i'm shocked
I know, me too - I'm looking forward to seeing his caring side for a change.
Would the police really ask relatives to identify the body after it'd been in the water for a couple of weeks? Surely it would be unrecognisable.
David's caring side? Not sure it is not David thinking of himself more than his mum, in case he loses a place to live in and maybe he is also scared of the loan shark
Jackie's back - Tyrone will be happy (not)
I guess Ty will be happy ... just not for very long :(
David is only helping Gail, because of the insurance money
David's caring side? Not sure it is not David thinking of himself more than his mum, in case he loses a place to live in and maybe he is also scared of the loan shark
Very true, though I do think he cares for Gail deep down and won't want her to get into trouble, even if he is thinking of himself first and foremost.

Over on Coronation Street, Gail receives the shock news from the police that her husband Joe's body has been discovered in Lake Windermere and they're treating his death as suspicious.
Having stopped his mother from incriminating herself in the incident, David heads over to break the devastating news to Tina. On hearing the revelation, Tina lashes out at David, before collapsing into her fiancé Jason's arms.
How long will Gail and David's secret remain just that?

Does anyone know why the spoilers are so short now?

ITV only release the basic details of the storyline online a couple of weeks beforehand and they are publically available. Fuller details are sent to accredited journalists and released on the webite about a week before transmission.

Gail panics when the police turn up
Airs on Monday, February 22 2010 at 19:30 GMT on ITV1
David and Gail anxiously wait to hear from Joe, while Tina tries to get in touch with her dad on the mobile. David, meanwhile, piles more pressure on Gail to report Joe to the police and tell them all about his moronic plan to fake his own death. Gail, however, worries that she'll be culpable and wants to sit it out until Joe makes contact.
The police eventually arrive at No. 8 where Gail's nerves turn to aggression, fearful that she'll be caught up in Joe's web of lies. She's stunned, though, when the police reveal that a body has been discovered in Lake Windermere.
Meanwhile, Molly calls for her post but an unsuspecting Tyrone answers the door in his vest and pants. Molly looks great and Tyrone can't hide his disappointment that he's allowed her see him in such a state - he's still adamant that she'll fall back in love with him.
Norris is up to his usual tricks, sharing gossip to all who'll listen. He soon recalls where he met Lewis before and tells Mary and Natasha that Lewis has a wife, so Audrey must be his mistress! With such an outlandish claim, all three of them decide to ask Audrey for the truth....
Elsewhere, Dev and Sunita relish in their success at fooling Aunts Upma and Grishma that they're still married. Their celebrations, however, are short-lived when Matt shows up on Sunita's doorstep.
Also, Trevor lets slip to Carla that Janice and Kelly have a very low opinion of her; and Gary and Quinny's day of leisure is rudely curtailed when Quinny receives an upsetting overseas call about his brother.
Gail and Tina identify Joe's body
Airs on Monday, February 22 2010 at 20:30 GMT on ITV1
Gail's in a complete state of shock. She struggles to take in the gruesome news about a body being found in the Lakes and is adamant that it's not Joe. There's an air of suspicion around the circumstances of his death and David desperately attempts to stop her from saying anything incriminating.
While Audrey comforts Gail, they all realise that Tina's oblivious to her father's demise. David thinks that he's the best person to break the news to her, rather than the police. How will she react to the devastating revelation?
Later, the police ask Tina and Gail to identify Joe's body near the Lakes. Gail and Tina enter the mortuary and are overcome with grief at the sight of Joe's corpse. They take small comfort, however, in knowing that his suffering is over. A devastated Tina begins singing him the lullaby that he used to soothe her with when she was a baby.
Meanwhile, Sunita tries to get rid of Matt just as Dev turns up with her Aunts, forcing them to make up an excuse about Matt's identity - but will they believe them? With Grishma and Upma deciding to prolong their stay a little longer, can Sunita and Dev maintain their charade?
Elsewhere, Tyrone's mum Jackie arrives on the Street to look after him; Trevor tells Janice that he's found two kittens in a bin and wants to keep them in Janice's flat. Keen to please, Janice agrees even though she's allergic to them!
Also, Anna's worried that Gary will meet them same fate as Quinny's brother after hearing of his ordeal.
Molly and Jackie come to blows
Airs on Thursday, February 25 2010 at 20:30 GMT on ITV1
Gail's still in shock following Joe's death and wants to tell the police the truth. David, however, urges her to stick to her original statement, otherwise she'll incriminate herself by changing it.
When the police arrive to question Tina, there's a certain level of suspicion around the birthday text Joe sent her - they're still trying to establish the time of death and this could throw a spanner in the works. Before leaving, the police take Joe's boat away for forensic tests.
With the circumstances surrounding Joe's death being treated as suspicious, will Gail confessing to knowing of plan to fake his own death put her in the clear?
As Dev and Sunita continue to keep up appearances to her fool her Aunts, it appears that fiction may be turning into reality as the divorcees are forced to spend so much time together.
Meanwhile, Tyrone's mum Jackie is on mission to get to the bottom of the collapse of her son's marriage. Jackie suspects Molly of cheating on Tyrone and confronts her in the shop - but will Molly have what it takes to stand up to Jackie?
Elsewhere, Leanne has a little thinking to do when George suggest that he takes Simon away to Spain for a holiday.

Airs on Friday, February 26 2010 at 19:30 GMT on ITV1
As the police ask questions about Joe's phone, David warns Gail to not say anything. Without his mother's knowledge, David throws Joe's phone in the canal, hoping to put an end to the ongoing suspicion.
It doesn't, though, as the police discover that a text was sent from Joe's phone in Weatherfield after his death - and they're determined to discover who sent it.
Meanwhile, the departure of Grishma and Upma means that Dev and Sunita can stop playing the happy couple routine and return to normal. Dev packs his belongings and says his goodbyes but it's obvious that neither Sunita nor Dev want to stop seeing each other. Will they decide to give their relationship another go?
It's not long before Jackie's up to her old tricks and Tyrone catches her ushering her latest conquest out of No. 9. The humiliation doesn't stop there, though, when Jackie accuses Dev and Molly of having an affair in front of everyone at The Rovers.
Elsewhere, Leanne consults Ken about George's offer to take Simon on holiday but Ken's dubious; and Ciaran turns on the charm and butters up Liz in a bid to bag a job at The Rovers.

Sunita's furious that Dev ignored her wishes and insists that he leave immediately. Has Dev blown it already?
Liz gives in to Ciaran's charm and offers him a job behind the bar, before suggesting that they have their own lock-in at the end of the shift.

Poor Gail has done everything she possibly can to make herself look guilty. She should've listened to David (not something I ever thought I'd be saying) and gone to the police when Joe first disappeared.
CORRIE Casanova Dev Alahan works his magic yet again - this time with his ex-wife Sunita.
The pair hook up next week for the first time in three years. She fled Weatherfield after discovering he'd fathered children by different women.
But Sunita (Shobna Gulati) ditches her former fiancé Matt and pretends she and Dev are still husband and wife in front of her two aunts.
The pair end up in a passionate smooch next Friday. But Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) then risks it all by moving too quickly and planning a holiday.
