2751: Cheryl stuns Carmel
Airs on Monday, February 8 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4
Hannah wakes in Jamie's arms and they're both thrilled to be back together again. Impatient to leave Hollyoaks, Jamie hides his unease about Blue but another text from him accelerates his panic. Meanwhile, Nancy and Kris's bickering continues and jealousy sets in as they witness how happy Jamie and Hannah appear. Desperate to escape, Jamie persuades Hannah to follow their dream and suggests that they leave tomorrow!
At The Dog, Rhys tries to explain how dangerous Jamie is to Neville and Suzanne but they're interrupted by Josh's return from Glasgow. When Hannah and Jamie arrive, Rhys becomes suspicious - and rightly so, when Hannah announces her plans to start a new life with Jamie the following day. Realising how happy Hannah is, the Ashworths decide to throw an impromptu leaving party and The Dog is soon awash with well wishers.
Nancy congratulates Hannah and Jamie on their adventure but Hannah's leaving only highlights Nancy's loneliness as another friend is leaving her behind. Hannah's overwhelmed by the support of her family and friends and remains unaware of Rhys sneaking away from the party. Receiving another call from Blue, a panicked Jamie heads off to start packing. Checking his bag for the money, Jamie's devastated to discover that it's missing - and we see Rhys with his hands firmly on the cash.
Meanwhile, Mercedes endeavours to hide her feelings about Carmel and Calvin as she listens to Calvin tell Malachy how good life is. With her jealousy building, she warns Calvin not to wreck her sister's life again, before showing how she and Malachy are very much united. Having lunch, Calvin tentatively asks Carmel to move back into the Valentines'. Unprepared for the speed at which their relationship is moving, Carmel confesses that it's too soon and she needs more time.
At The Loft, Calvin asks Mercedes for help in convincing Carmel to move back in with him. Aware he wants to cement his relationship with Carmel to finally put an end to their affair, Mercedes refuses to become involved. Carmel opens up to Mercedes about Calvin and when Malachy becomes involved, she's given food for thought after he insists that she should consider his offer to move back in a little longer.
At the Valentines', Carmel waits for Calvin and feeling slightly threatened by Cheryl, she announces her plans to move back in. Resorting to desperate measures to protect her position in the house, Cheryl lets slip about her kiss with Calvin and a traumatised Carmel flees the house…
Elsewhere, Theresa's unhappy that the Valentine's Ball is a 70s-themed event and wonders how they can look hot wearing such ancient clothes. Lauren and Gaz overhear her conversation with Anita and agree to attend the ball themselves. With dreams of winning the 'Best Dressed' prize, Anita's hopes are soon dashed when Lauren and Gaz make fun of her dress and music taste.
Stepping in to defend her friend, Theresa brings Calvin into the conversation and Lauren panics thinking her relationship with Gaz is about to be discovered. Thankfully, Calvin's none the wiser, but Lauren vows to take revenge on the girls…
2752: Calvin's backed into a corner
Airs on Tuesday, February 9 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4
Hannah's feeling a mixture of excitement and sadness as she prepares to leave Hollyoaks. Although happy that she'll be finally living her dream with Jamie, she doesn't want to leave on bad terms with Rhys. Distracted with all the preparations, Hannah's oblivious to Jamie's growing panic. With Blue continuing to call and the money missing, Jamie sends Hannah out so he can tear the place apart.
While out, Hannah runs into Darren but still hurt and angry with him, she ignores him. It's only when Darren hears from Myra about Hannah leaving that he realises what he's about to lose. Meanwhile, Jamie discovers that Rhys has his money and is given an ultimatum - leave with Hannah and no money or take the money and run on his own.
Desperate for Hannah to stay, Darren asks her to make a real go of their marriage but Hannah refuses to give up what she has and gently lets him down as Jamie's the man for her. Back at the flat, Hannah's family arrive to say goodbye but as the taxi arrives, there's still no sign of Jamie. It looks certain that he's taken the money and gone but at the last minute, he turns up.
Back at The Dog, a gutted Rhys is freaked out when he receives a call from Blue. He kills the conversation, explaining to Josh that the person on the other end is a nutter! Darren's eavesdropping and knowing Hannah and Jamie are stuck in a hotel after a delayed flight, he calls Blue back and gives him the info he needs. Darren's unaware just how crazy Blue is so by sending him to Jamie, has he put Hannah at risk too?
Meanwhile, Carmel's ignoring Calvin's calls after discovering that he kissed Cheryl. Myra tries to reassure her that it's no big deal as they were separated. Pleased that there's trouble, Mercedes tells Carmel that she's best rid and plants more doubt in her mind. Myra encourages Carmel to call Calvin back as it's the only way she'll know what she wants.
Calvin's pleased when Carmel agrees to meet up and he desperately tries to convince her that what happened with Cheryl meant nothing. Carmel's torn between her head and heart but eventually starts to come round. However, there's one condition - if they're to make things work, they can have no secrets - and she questions whether he's been with anyone else?
We think that Calvin might confess but knowing there would be no chance for him and Carmel, he promises her that there's been nobody else. Finally believing him, Carmel agrees to make a fresh start with him but seeing the loved up pair together only riles a jealous Mercedes.
Elsewhere, with Cindy paying her no attention, Holly's fed up practicing her talent show routine. She's only cheered up when Loretta arrives as Cindy agreed to let her help out. Cindy turns up at the Council Hall to watch their rehearsal but is furious that Loretta has changed the choreography. Cindy tells Loretta that she's no longer needed but upsets Holly in doing so, prompting the youngster to run off.
Realising that she needs her help after all, Cindy's forced to apologise to Loretta but she only agrees to return for Holly's sake. After reading Holly's school report, Tony and Cindy are at a loss as to what more they can do for her. As Holly returns home, she overhears her parents talking and is left reeling as they discuss the advantages of sending her to boarding school.
2753: Jamie stabs Blue
Airs on Wednesday, February 10 2010 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4
Hannah and Jamie wake up in their hotel room, oblivious to Darren's misguided interference. Back at The Dog, Darren begins to panic when Rhys tells him just how mental Blue is. Hannah returns to the hotel alone and walking into their room, she's horrified to find that it's been turned over.
At first, she fears that they've been robbed but when Blue appears, she realises that it's far worse than she thought. Blue tells Hannah what he's come for but she refuses to believe that Jamie has any of his cash. Hannah insists that Jamie's done with that lifestyle but once Jamie returns and sees the danger Hannah's in, he's forced to admit the truth, before trying to explain that he no longer has any of the money.
Hannah's disgusted he had it in the first place and lays into a pleading Jamie, while realising that she should have listened to Rhys and Darren. Jamie calls Rhys to prove that he's not lying but Rhys denies any involvement, leaving Jamie to face the consequences. A fight ensues and a helpless Hannah can only look on, unable to stop them.
Back in the village, a frantic Darren desperately tries to get to Hannah's hotel, fearing the trouble he may have caused. As the chaos continues in the hotel room, Jamie struggles to defend himself and as he reaches for a letter opener, Hannah can only scream in terror as Jamie lunges at Blue. As Blue collapses, Hannah and Jamie look on in horror - is he dead?
Meanwhile, as the Valentine's Ball looms, Theresa tells Anita that she has her eye on Ste as her date. The girls arrive at Relish with a glam Theresa, armed with a 'how to get your man' self-help book, hoping to seal the deal with Ste. Meanwhile, Newt's pleased that he and Rae are really getting on and as she tries to convince him to go the ball, he's certain that she's flirting. As they arrive at Relish, Newt's amused by Theresa's efforts to get in with Ste but the pair soon become green with envy when, according to Theresa's book, Ste and Rae are flirting with each other.
When Theresa accidentally-on-purpose spills a milkshake down Rae, the girls come to blows. Rae expects Newt to take her side but he's still miffed about her and Ste and makes a sarky comment instead. Furious by Newt's betrayal, Rae tells Ste that she'll work in Relish instead of going to the ball, leaving Newt in a bigger sulk than before.
As a favour to Theresa, Anita asks Ravi to put in a good word for her mate but it's not good feedback. Feeling bad for her friend, Anita lies and tells Theresa that it's good news - Ste wants her to save him a dance at the ball.
Elsewhere, it's the day of the talent show and competition is still rife between Steph and Cindy as they prepare Holly and Tom to win. Cindy insists that Tony give Holly a pep talk. Although he tries his best, it all comes out wrong and Holly's left more nervous than before.
At the show, Tom's comedy act goes down a treat with the audience, especially Tony, much to Cindy's annoyance. Holly's due on stage but sensing her nerves, Loretta assures her that it's not too late to back out.
As an oblivious Cindy brandishes a sash advertising Cincerity for Holly, it's finally too much and Holly flees the hall. Cindy eventually finds her and realising she may have pushed too far, apologises to her daughter. They almost make up until Holly lets slip Loretta told her she could back out.
A furious Cindy is outraged with Loretta's interference, ultimately spoiling any reconciliation with Holly.
