ITV soap Emmerdale is employing Britain's oldest extra, it has been revealed.
Lottie Goodwin, who is a great-grandmother aged 98, has been working for the Yorkshire-based show for the past 38 years, appearing regularly in scenes at the Woolpack pub and Cafe Hope.
Goodwin currently works exclusively for the drama and gets up at 4.30am on days when she is required for filming, The Mirror reports.
Discussing the tonic water that she drinks in scenes, she told the newspaper: "They don't put gin in it or I'd be on the floor. I always assume people don't see me because they are watching the main characters but I still get people stopping me and asking for autographs."
Goodwin, from Altrincham, Cheshire has previously worked on Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Brookside among other programmes.
