EastEnders actress Samantha Womack has recalled the last words she had with her late father Noel Janes.
The 60-year-old committed suicide on August 22 last year. According to PA, the 37-year-old star wept at the inquest, as she heard about her father's death.
Womack, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC One soap, revealed: "He was dreadful, absolutely awful. He was very low for three months before but on the week before he died he was in a dreadful state, very detached.
"He was miserable, he was completely detached, you couldn't get near him."
Coroner Veronica Hamilton-Deeley was satisfied that Janes had intended to take his own life, announcing: "I am satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that he himself arranged to put the ligature round his neck and he did it intending that death would be the result."
She then added to the family: "I offer all of my heartfelt condolences on your loss."
The current storyline must have been quite difficult for her :(
