The Ting Tings have reveal that their forthcoming second album will be called Kunst, the German word for art.
The duo, who have been recording the follow-up to We Started Nothing in Berlin, revealed that the suggestion was met with disapproval by their record label because of its similarity to an English swear word.
"Just round the corner to our studio there's a massage parlour, it's called Massage Kunst," Jules De Martino told NME.
"It's Massage Art, basically. We took a picture of that and sent it to our label, saying this is the title of the album. They went berserk."
The pair admitted that they avoided too much of a live sound on the record, which is scheduled for release later this year.
"We listened back to some of the demos and we thought, hold on a minute, this is sounding too much like we’re rocking out live," De Martino said.
"We bought a couple of old weird synths in New York and smuggled them in our suitcases back to Berlin and they started to come strong on the music."
Songs confirmed for the final tracklisting include 'Help' and 'Hands'.
Debut album We Started Nothing was released in May 2008 and has sold over 1.2 million copies worldwide.
