TELLY boozer the Queen Vic is the UK's favourite soapland business.

Brits said they would rather do a shift in the EastEnders pub than in ANY other TV workplace.

And Peggy, Barbara Windsor's feisty landlady, is the country's favourite boss.

The Vic knocked Coronation Street's The Rovers Return into fourth place in a poll by Regus, the temporary workplace provider.

Doctors' Letherbridge University campus surgery came second in the top businesses, with The Loft, (Hollyoaks) third.

And Hollyoaks scored second and third with top bosses, with Louise Summers and Jack Osbourne.

I'm not surprised the Vic and Peggy came first, but am astonished that the Rovers didn't come second.

Probably depends on who did the survey, if it was on Digital Spy, then I am not surprised.

If it were a real pub the Queen Vic is the last place I would want to go for a pint. I think the Woolie is much more realistic. A choice between Maisie and a washed up old crone like the poison dwarf says it all really. No Contest

Digital Spy also known as the Eastenders Fan Club

But Alan, you could be served by Tracey or Roxie or Ronnie, and perhaps even Glenda now :D But I agree with you, I would prefer The Woolpack or the Rovers Return.

The Woolpack does actually look like a nice pub, The Rovers and Queen Vic look scruffy.

Would love to work in the Vic as they never seem to be busy and if they are, Tracey does all the work!

But that would apply to all the other soap pubs too

I mean that they are not busy, Tracey does not work in all of them

The Woolpack does actually look like a nice pub,

It's a traditional Yorkshire pub. I think the living quarters are much better than the Vic.

Less chance of getting murdered in the Woolie too

Although Emmerdale has quite a few unsolved murders, so not the safest place to live

Although Emmerdale has quite a few unsolved murders, so not the safest place to liveYes but none have happened in the Woolie, unlike The Vic where death seems to have a permenant place. That combined with a washed up old crone and her thuggish son running the show makes the Vic totally unappealling to me. I doubt whether the Poison Dwarf would serve me. I can imagine she would just love tell me to

If she knew how highly you speak of her and her son, I am sure she would :rotfl:
