It's the day of Archie's funeral in EastEnders in a fortnight's time and the Mitchells certainly aren't impressed when Janine shows her face.

As Archie's horse-drawn funeral cart pulls onto the Square, the Mitchells emerge from The Vic and pile into their cars. Roxy, however, is furious when Janine wanders over to the congregation.

Being restrained by Ronnie, Roxy immediately shouts at Janine that she's not welcome. With that, the Mitchell sisters get into their waiting car and drive off with the funeral cart to the church. Janine's left on the Square to pick up a flower that drops from one of the wreaths.

Will Janine storm the funeral? Or allow Archie to be laid to rest in peace?

These scenes air on Thursday, January 28 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Ricky's stunned by Janine's revelation about Pat

Airs on Monday, January 25 2010 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Pat's gasping for breath on the floor and just before she falls unconscious, she calls out Janine's name. With that, Ricky arrives, before the paramedics burst through the door and inform the family that Pat's in cardiac arrest. Bianca's devastated over what's happened and demands answers from Janine about what was said to cause Pat's heart attack. Janine, however, refuses to say anything. Bianca, though, is determined to get to the bottom of the situation. Later at the hospital, the doctors confirm that Pat's had a heart attack, prompting Bianca to again ask Janine what they were arguing about. The doctor goes on to reveal that Pat had an underlying condition that caused the cardiac arrest. Ricky's stuck in the middle as his sister and fiancée continue to argue.

Later, Max asks Janine to look after Liam, Tiffany and Morgan, and when she spots the boys re-enacting what happened to Pat, she shouts at them. At that moment, Bianca and Ricky return home and throw Janine out. Ricky and Bianca realise that they need to tell Simon about Pat's condition. Bianca offers to call New Zealand, while Ricky goes back to the hospital. Janine turns up at the hospital and has a heart-to-heart about Pat and their biological mother. Janine then stuns Ricky when she reveals that Pat was secretly planning to emigrate to New Zealand. Janine becomes tearful and claims that their mother's death was her fault, but Ricky assures her that it wasn't.

The conversation soon turns to Janine's argument with Pat and she admits to Ricky that their argument was over Ian - and how she knows Ian never killed Archie.

Meanwhile, Peggy hears about Pat's condition and she's concerned for her friend. Ronnie later reveals that she's had a call informing her that Archie's body is to be released. With that, Peggy offers to arrange the funeral, promising to keep it a small and intimate family affair. Ronnie's surprised to hear from Roxy that she's renting the Car Lot to Max and Ronnie admits that she went to visit their mother. Roxy's shocked to hear Glenda's claims that they have a secret brother and claims that it's a 'sick fantasy'.

Elsewhere, Jean's grateful for Bradley for cheering Stacey up by arranging Becca's return; Masood asks Christian to help assemble Syed and Amira's bed; a drunken Jean tells Bradley and Stacey that Archie's killer may have attacked Pat; Christian refuses to return to work at Masala Queen; Max informs Bradley that Roxy's agreed to rent them the Car Lot but Becca causes the table to fall silent when she brings up Max's recent fraud; Christian calls Chelsea to arrange a night clubbing; and Bradley offers to give up his side of the bed for Becca to share with Stacey, but holds a ring box on the sofa downstairs.

Janine tells DCI Marsden the truth about Ian

Airs on Tuesday, January 26 2010 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Peggy informs Roxy that a family liaison officer dropped around the pathology report on Archie and it's not long before the whole family gathers to hear Roxy read it. Much to everyone's shock, the report reveals that Archie had terminal cancer, prompting Peggy to exclaim that he was telling the truth and she refused to believe him. Roxy's livid at Peggy for keeping Archie's illness a secret and insists that she's no longer welcome at the funeral. Dr Al, meanwhile, tries to console Roxy. Later in the Minute Mart, Roxy's near breaking point and Dr Al finds her complaining that they don't sell sugar mice - as they're what Archie used to buy her as a child. Roxy breaks down in Al's arms, questioning why Archie never told her about his cancer. Janine's stunned to overhear the news.

Later in The Vic, Roxy tells Ronnie that she regrets all the hurtful things she said to their father. They're interrupted by Peggy, though, who announces that Reverend Stephens is waiting upstairs. Roxy blanks Peggy and walks upstairs where she talks to the reverend about Archie. Roxy soon begins to cry and while Peggy tries to console her, Ronnie wanders in and explains that she didn't join in the conversation because she didn't want to lie about their father. Out of the blue, Roxy reveals that she wants to locate their secret brother Danny.

Ronnie and Roxy turn up at Glenda's flat and Reg appears to explain that Glenda's moved on. When questioned about a forwarding address and Danny, Reg feigns ignorance. Later, Glenda hands Reg two packets of cigarettes to thank him for getting rid of Ronnie and Roxy, before returning inside to show a young man Archie's obituary and the address for The Vic. Back on the Square, Peggy hands over a bag of sugar mice that Dr Al left earlier in the day, before apologising for not saying anything about Archie's cancer. Roxy accepts her aunt's apology and agrees that she can attend the funeral.

Meanwhile, Janine protests to Ricky that Archie was using her, while Ricky insists that everyone suffers because of her actions. With that, Ricky insists that if she doesn't tell the police the truth about Ian, he'll cut her off. Later at the police station, Janine tells DCI Marsden that Ian couldn't have killed Archie because she saw him walking out of The Vic with something. After further questioning, Marsden suggests that Janine killed Archie but she vehemently denies it. Marsden informs Ian that he's being released and they're dropping the charges but before he can go, they need to resolve the laptop issue.

In the hospital, Janine tells Pat that Marsden treated her badly, before admitting that she knew Ian never killed Archie. Realising that Janine lied to the police despite knowing the truth, Pat tells her to stay away and get out of her life for good.

Elsewhere, Christian wakes up from his night clubbing to find a guy called Leyton singing in the kitchen; Bradley attempts to hide Stacey's engagement ring in a boiled egg, to no avail; Christian spends the day trying to stay way from Leyton but he can't avoid him in The Vic; Max and Bradley receive the keys to the Car Lot and spend the day clearing it out; Amira spots Christian in the Square, before rushing over and bragging about her honeymoon; Bradley moans to Max that he doesn't get to spend much time with Stacey because Becca's around; Christian introduces Leyton to Syed and Amira as his new boyfriend; Stacey's annoyed when Max grills her about spending more time with Bradley; and Leyton comments to Christian how handsome Syed is.

It's the day of Archie's funeral

Airs on Thursday, January 28 2010 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

As Peggy looks out of the window, she sees Archie's funeral carriage arrive on the Square. DCI Marsden, meanwhile, watches on in the hope of gleaning a fresh lead. A taxi pulls up on the Square and a scruffy-looking Ian steps out. He asks Jane for a clean shirt so he can attend Archie's funeral but Jane suggests that he shouldn't go, though it soon dawns on her that Ian's going to make sure that he's buried. Peggy's arranging a buffet, while Roxy asks Ronnie to read over a speech she's prepared. Shirley points out to Phil that the police are watching and on the Square, Max and Jack talk about Ronnie, completely unaware that they're being observed. Seeing Phil outside, Ian suggests that they put recent events behind them and the pair shake hands. Ian, however, isn't convinced that Phil's genuine and suggests to Jane that it's all for show.

As the Mitchells walk out of The Vic, the Square falls silent. Janine tries to walk over but Roxy stops her in her tracks, insisting that she's not welcome. As the funeral carriage, car and crowd draw away, Janine watches on and picks up a flower that's fallen from a wreath. The funeral carriage pulls up at the church and Janine listens outside as everyone sings. When the reverend invites Roxy to read her speech, she hesitates and asks Ronnie to take her place. Ronnie, however, declines and it's up to Peggy to say a few words about Archie. Outside in the church grounds, Archie's laid to rest in the ground.

Back at The Vic, Ronnie cheerfully offers the locals drinks but Peggy walks out. Roxy's frustrated that her sister's going around topping up everyone's drinks and walks out herself in search of Peggy. Roxy, however, can't find Peggy anywhere. At the church, Peggy returns to Archie's burial site and tells him that she's sorry. With that, Marsden's standing behind her and asks what she's sorry for. As Phil informs Shirley that she's moving back into The Vic, Ronnie tells Roxy that it's been the happiest day of her life. They're interrupted, though, by the young man from Glenda's flat asking after them. Roxy explains that they've just buried their father, to which he replies: "I think you might have buried mine, too.''

Elsewhere, Bradley and Stacey reluctantly attend Archie's funeral; Ryan taunts Janine about being banned from the funeral; Bradley tells Stacey that they can put her ordeal behind them, before Stacey spits on Archie's coffin; Ryan suggests that Janine go and see Pat because she's refusing to have a pacemaker fitted; back at home, Bradley reprimands Stacey about what she did at the funeral and the pair come to blows; Peggy advises Janine to move on as men as Archie will always let her down; Bradley's alarmed when Becca tells him that she knows how Stacey's feeling; and Janine heads to the hospital and barges into Pat's room, causing her to start hyperventilating.

Bradley proposes to Stacey again

Airs on Friday, January 29 2010 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

At Archie's graveside, Peggy tells DCI Marsden that she thought Archie was lying about having cancer. Back at The Vic, Ronnie and Roxy discuss whether they believe Danny's claims that he's their long-lost brother. Wanting answers, the sisters return to the lounge to talk to him but he's disappeared. They search the pub but find him outside looking at Archie's poster. He admits that he's taken aback to discover he has two sisters he never knew about - and that their mother had told him his father was dead. Inside, Ronnie and Roxy explain who Danny is but he's not convinced and asks him for ID. Peggy returns and reveals that Glenda's just turned up. In the living room, Glenda talks to Danny and maintains that she never wanted him to turn up in Walford. Danny, however, explains that he wants to stay for a few days. Glenda, though, isn't happy in the slightest.

Meanwhile, as the nurses tend to Pat, Ricky watches on, while Janine demands an explanation. Frustrated by the situation, Ricky shouts at his sister that Pet's condition is her fault. On hearing that Pat has to have an operation, Janine goes to the chapel and watches somebody praying. With that, Janine kneels at the altar herself and begins to say a prayer. Ricky wanders in and asks what she's doing, prompting Janine to explain that she's making peace with God and praying that Pat will pull through so she can care for her. Ricky and Janine soon learn that Pat's operation was a success and now has a pacemaker fitted. Walking into the room, Ricky explains to Pat how Janine wants to look after her. Janine, meanwhile, insists that she meant every word.

Elsewhere, the Slaters discuss the renaming of Max and Bradley's new business. In the hallway, Becca asks Stacey if everything's now okay between her and Bradley, but Stacey explains that she lost control at the church when Peggy began defending Archie. Stacey's alarmed, though, when Becca reveals that she told Bradley he should be more understanding of Stacey considering what's happened. Anxious to know what was said, Stacey bolts to the Car Lot to reassure Bradley that Becca knows nothing other than that Archie was a creep. Choosing the prime moment, Bradley reveals the engagement ring and Stacey stares back at him agog.

Asking Stacey to keep their engagement a secret, the pair kiss and their clinch turns passionate. As their moment becomes heated, Max nearly walks in on them together. Returning home, they walk in on a mini celebration as Max mentions that the pair could be engaged. As Max goes to retrieve champagne, he receives a call from Abi, who asks if she can return to live with him because she hates staying with Tanya. Meanwhile, Stacey corners Becca in the hallway of the Slaters' and asks her to keep quiet about what she told her about Christmas, Archie and the baby. Can Stacey trust Becca to keep her secret just that?

Later, Amira bumps into Ronnie and Roxy's brother Danny and unable to resist temptation, she ends up kissing him.
