DURAN DURAN, THE POLICE, THE BOOMTOWN RATS and SPANDAU BALLET all left a musical mark in the Eighties.

But 2010 will be the year their offspring try to follow in those famous footsteps.

Synth duo NITEVISIONS are made up of Duran drummer ROGER TAYLOR's son JAMES and their guitarist ANDY TAYLOR's son ANDY JNR. They have a similar sound to their dads but more moody.

COCO SUMNER, daughter of Police frontman STING, records as I BLAME COCO and sounds like a female JAMIE T.

Boomtown Brat PIXIE GELDOF is yet to sign her record deal but will be releasing a single soon. And MARTIN KEMP's son ROMAN will launch a pop career this year.

But it's not all privileged kids leading the charge. Londoner TINIE TEMPAH looks set to swell Brrrap Pack numbers.

Others to watch out for are twinkling popster ELLIE GOULDING, 17-year-old SKY FERREIRA from LA, young New York band THE DRUMS, Geordie rockers DETROIT SOCIAL CLUB and south London's DANNY AND THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD.
