I was still in primary school. I know we had our consoles out NYE because mum was working nights back then so me and my brother just played games all night

Well I was still in primary school too. My parents were out with their friends and we went with my grandparents to this big party at the community centre, it was really good :D And then I remember going back to out house watching the telly about all the other celebrations and then getting up late in the afternoon :p

I was in my last year of primary school. I think I celebrated with my first taste of champagne with my parents and sister.

Technically, there's still 365 days to go till the start of the next decade but what the heck :)

Ten years ago I was young, single, and free

Now I'm older, married, and shackled

Nope. Begins on the first day of the year that starts with 1 as there was no year designated at zero. Same for centuries

so 2001 - 2010 is 10 years

It's just being pedantic really. In reality no one gives a ****

Hmm I don't really remember. I know I was 11 and I think I stayed at my nans to see the millennium in.

I seen the Millenium in at my sisters. Her partner had taken the kids down to their caravan as my sister was going to be working on new years day. I went to her house around lunchtime and we spent the day watching the bbc as they reported each country bringing in the new millenium. In the summer of 2000 I decided to quit my job and return to full-time education.

I was in my 2nd year at Uni... just married (Nov 1999) and really happy

Now.. 2 kids, a divorce and in this job 7 years on Wednesday.. amazing what 10 years can do to a person... If someone said to me I would have been divorced, living with a German and in the same job for 7 years I would have laughed

and at the interview of the job you quit if you were asked "where do you see yourself in 10 years" I bet you would never had answered "University"
