Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills is apparently among celebrities preparing to take part in the fifth series of Dancing On Ice.

Mills will face competition from the Beatles singer's niece, comedian Emily Atack, as well as from Sinitta, Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana, EastEnders' Danniella Westbrook and Boyzone's Mikey Graham.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Jeremy Sheffield, of Holby City, comedian Bobby Davro and Emmerdale's Hayley Tamaddon are also taking part.

Ex-Coronation Street star Danny Young and TV doctor Hilary Jones will also compete, as will the former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies.

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January, with Emma Bunton confirmed to replace Ruthie Henshall on the judging panel.

and Gary Lucy who played Will Fletcher in The Bill (or now Sun Hill CID Cop Show) is in it too,.

In Best magazine they had some pics of the celebs training, and there was one of Mills with her fake leg in the ice-skating boot. So funny!! She looked like a pleb. And it said she'd hired a private instructor to give her extra lessons. Now I dont care if she has a fake leg, I call that cheating. None of the others are gettign extra so she shouldn't get more because she's payign for it.

I heart Dancing on Ice, I saw the tour in Birmingham last year and got the DVD for xmas. because I skate, I find it more entertaining, btu it does wind me up when the commentator says they do something and its the wrong thing! I get kinda shouty!! :P

Sharron Davies has reportedly alienated her Dancing On Ice co-stars by making "catty" remarks behind the scenes.

According to the Daily Star, the Olympic swimmer is the only contestant who is proving unpopular in training for the ITV1 reality show.

A source told the newspaper: "Sharron hasn't got off to a great start in terms of making friends. A few people have taken offence at some things she has been saying. Everyone else has been getting on like a house on fire."

The new series of the skating programme will see Davies competing against her fellow celebrities, who include Danniella Westbrook, Gary Lucy and Sinitta.

Dancing On Ice will return to screens in the New Year.

The blades haven’t even cut the ice yet – but it seems Heather Mills is already counting on the sympathy vote.

Heather, 41, compared herself to “the Bionic Woman” for taking part in Dancing on Ice as she reeled off all the injuries she suffered while training for the first show on Sunday.

The ex-wife of Paul McCartney said: “I’ve snapped off my rib doing a lift, I had eight lessons and was flat on my back for 10 days after a fall, and I nearly had to drop out.

“I fractured a rib, tore my rotator cuff, then shifted out my pelvis. There is not much left to break... My doctor thought it was ridiculous and said: ‘I think you should pull out.’

“Then I woke up and thought, ‘I’m doing this for charity,’ and I saw my boots and sparkly catsuits and thought, ‘I’ve got to do this’.”

But she added: “If I puncture a lung I guess I will have to give up.”

Heather, who is partnered by Matt Evans, also revealed she may have to perform on one leg if she has difficulties with her prosthetic one.

Fellow contestant Tana Ramsay, 35, insists she is only stepping on the ice because of husband Gordon.

Tana said: “He persuaded me to do it, I wasn’t sure I’d manage it. Judge Jason Gardiner can be brutally honest, so I’m more worried about what he’ll say than Gordon.”

And 80s pop star Sinitta said her old flame Simon Cowell had promised to come and watch her skate – but only if she makes it past the first few weeks.

Sinitta, 41, said when she told him she was taking part: “Simon laughed and said, ‘Are you out of your mind?’”

A total of 16 contestants take to the ice on Sunday at 6.45pm on ITV1.

They include Boyzone’s Mikey Graham, comedian Bobby Davro and GMTV doc Hilary Jones – presumably for all those injuries.

TV comic Bobby Davro has claimed that he will be playing it for laughs on Dancing On Ice.

The 51-year-old former EastEnders star said that he would be aiming to entertain on the reality show rather than win the series title.

"I'm not in there to show people how brilliant I am," he said. "I'm in there to entertain and that's hopefully what I will bring to the show. I'm going to have some fun with it. I'm sure I'm not going to win but I don't want to go out the first week either."

Joking about where he may finish on the show, he said: "I've got more chance of being handcuffed to a ghost than making the final. But people do like to see someone fall over and make an idiot of themselves and there is every chance I will be that person this year."

Davro also revealed that his friends have compared his "shuffling" skating technique to veteran rock star Ozzy Osbourne.

The Dancing On Ice launch show airs on Friday at 9pm on ITV1.

That is what Todd Carty did, not very original then :thumbsdow:

Dancing On Ice champion Ray Quinn will return to the ice for this Friday's launch show.

Quinn will reunite with his professional skating partner Maria Filippov to kick off the fifth series of the ITV1 ice dancing contest.

Other contestants from previous series will also be putting their skates back on for the show, which will also include a daredevil routine from the professional skaters.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will host the programme, which will also give viewers the first chance to watch how this year's 14 celebrities have been progressing in training.

The Dancing On Ice launch show airs on Friday at 9pm on ITV1.

Sinitta has become the first celebrity to be voted off Dancing On Ice.

After the judges' scores and viewers' votes had been added together, Sinitta found herself in the bottom two alongside Sharron Davies.

Both contestants then had to repeat their routines in an attempt to persuade the panel to keep them in the competition.

Davies and her partner Pavel Aubrecht were first to perform, followed by Sinitta and her partner Andrei Lipanov.

Following the skate off, Sinitta said that she was "gutted" after making a mistake during one of her lifts.

Judges Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins then had to vote on who to save.

Barber voted to save Davies, adding that the "tables turned". Slater, Cousins and Gardiner also saved Davies, although Bunton decided to save Sinitta.

"I had such high hopes," Sinitta said. "I was starting to love it. It's been an amazing experience - thank you so much."

The male contestants will compete for the first time when Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday at 6.45pm on ITV1.

Sinitta has revealed that she quarrelled with Dancing On Ice bosses over the "frog lift" that led to her exit from the show.

The judges voted 4:1 to save Sharron Davies ahead of the singer – full name Sinitta Malone – after she failed to execute the move during last night's skate-off.

"It's such a shame because we did the frog lift the first time, but then messed it up second time around. That was always a possibility though because it's what was happening the whole time during rehearsals - one time we'd do it, the next we wouldn't," she told DS.

However, Sinitta admitted that she was never comfortable with attempting the tricky lift so early on in the competition.

"I didn't agree to it, because I was terrified of getting hurt. When we managed to do it two out of the first 20 times in training, I was like, 'You know what, we can't do it' and they took it out. But then after Christmas, whoever's in charge said, 'The frog lift's going back in'," she recalled.

"I did have a bit of a mini-tantrum, but then we did a show-and-tell session and pulled it off, so my confidence improved and I decided to give it a go. I do regret it, though. I wish I'd put my foot down and said no."

Sinitta also insisted that the judges were wrong to eliminate her instead of Davies, despite her frog lift slipup.

"You know what, Sharron's amazing and I love her, but I know what Andrei and I had in the bag for the future. We had a really strong partnership and we really trusted each other. I think the judges make a mistake because I know I have what it takes to become a good skater," she said.

Bobby Davro has become the second celebrity to be voted off Dancing On Ice.

After the judges' scores and viewers' votes had been added together, the comedian found himself in the bottom two alongside actor Gary Lucy.

Both contestants then had to repeat their routines in an attempt to persuade the panel to keep them in the competition.

Lucy and his partner Maria Filippov were first to perform, followed by Davro and his partner Molly Moenkhoff.

Judges Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins then had to vote on who to save.

Barber decided to save Lucy, as did Slater, although he added that he would "miss" Davro. Gardiner, Bunton and Cousins also decided to save Lucy, meaning that Davro had to leave the competition.

"Obviously I'm extremely disappointed," Davro said. "But I know I wasn't the best skater, and let's face it, you've got to be the best skater to win. I just didn't cut it, but I tried my damndest. And I had the most amazing time."

Dancing On Ice will air for nearly three hours this Sunday, marking its longest episode yet.

The ITV ice skating competition, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, will begin earlier than usual at 6.20pm.

The Ice contestants will dance 12 times with their professional partners, meaning that the main performance show will be 2 hours, 20 minutes long. The results programme is to be shown later than usual at 9.45pm for half an hour.

Schofield, who also fronts This Morning with Willoughby, spoke about the scheduling change on the daytime show.

The 47-year-old presenter said: "I think it's a programme that lasts 26 or 27 hours. It's a really full-on show next week with everybody skating, I can't wait."

A source added to The Mirror: "If you like ice skating, ITV is the place for you on Sunday, otherwise viewers should slide off to another channel."

The last series of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing was criticised for airing instalments lasting over three hours on a Saturday evening.

Jeremy Sheffield has become the third celebrity to be voted off Dancing On Ice.

Tonight was the first time the male and female contestants had performed in the same show.

However, after the judges' scores and viewers' votes had been added together, the actor found himself in the bottom two alongside Sharron Davies, who was in the skate-off for the second time.

Both contestants then had to repeat their routines in an attempt to persuade the panel to keep them in the competition.

Davies and her partner Pavel Aubrecht were first to take to the ice rink, followed by Sheffield and his partner Susie Lipanova.

Judges Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins then had to vote on who to save.

Barber, Slater and Gardiner opted to keep Davies in the competition, meaning that she was saved to skate on next week. Bunton and Cousins also revealed that they were planning to save Davies, meaning that Sheffield had to leave the show.

"I'm disappointed, obviously," Sheffield said. "After all that work. But I'm ever so slightly relieved that I'm not going to be in so much pain! I felt I'd just started to get up to speed."

Meanwhile, Lipanova praised him and said that he had worked "really hard".

Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday at 6.15pm on ITV1.

Robin Cousins will be replaced by a guest judge on the next two weeks of Dancing On Ice, it has been confirmed.

Cousins, who has appeared on all five series of the ITV1 reality show, has been given a break to work for the BBC covering the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Former winners Kyran Bracken, Suzanne Shaw and Ray Quinn, show mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and Karen Barber's husband Steve Pickavance are the names linked to the judging role.

Christopher Dean has ended his 16-year marriage to Jill Trenary, according to reports.

The Dancing On Ice star announced the break up last night, while a spokesman for the star denied claims that he has struck up a romance with show judge Karen Barber.

He confirmed: "Christopher Dean and his wife Jill Trenary have separated. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their two sons."

Dean, 51, won a 1984 Olympic gold for Britain skating in Sarajevo with his on-ice partner Jayne Torvill to Ravel's 'Bolero', for which they gained the maximum possible number of points.

Having retired from competitive skating in 1998, Dean has been living with Jill, his second wife, in Colorado Springs in the US with their two children. A spokeswoman for ITV declined to comment on the split, stating: "It's a personal matter."

Mikey Graham has become the ninth celebrity to be voted off this series of Dancing On Ice.

The Boyzone star and his professional partner Melanie Lambert found themselves in the skate-off alongside Danniella Westbrook and Matthew Gonzalez when the judges' scores and the viewers' votes had been added together.

Both couples then had to repeat their routines in an attempt to convince judges Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins to keep them in the competition.

Barber began the voting by choosing to save Westbrook, but Slater went on to save Graham, claiming that the performance had "moved" him. Gardiner opted to keep Graham and Bunton chose Westbrook, meaning that Cousins had the final decision.

"One spin does not a performance make," he said. "I save Danniella."

His choice meant that Graham had to leave the competition. After hearing the decision, the singer said that he had had an "amazing" time and paid tribute to his late bandmate Stephen Gately, who competed on the show in 2007.

"You know, there comes a time at the end of every party when it's time to leave. I really have had the most amazing journey," he said.

"It's been such an adventure. Publicly and personally this has given me such an amazing feeling all through, and I want to thank Stephen up there and my family."

Sorry to see Mikey go - didn't think he was worse than Daniella - but there you go. Hayley is really getting on my nerves now, all this false modesty when she get a compliment - She knows she is good - if the judges say so, so all this Ohing and Ahing - doing my head in. When Dan winks at the camera, that also freaks me out - I used to like him but now I can just about tolerate him. I also think they had an advantage knowing each other, so they didn't have to build a relationship. - Moan over.

HAYLEY Tamaddon cried tears of joy as she beat Gary Lucy to be crowned Dancing On Ice champion 2010 last night.
The former Emmerdale actress, 33, had been the shortest-priced favourite in the show's history at an incredible 1/6.

In last night's final, which was expected to pull in over 12million viewers for ITV, Hayley scored an astonishing 29 out of 30 for her flying routine, and her second perfect score of the series for her Bollywood routine.

But it was her romantic Bolero performance that led the public to vote her to victory.

Hayley, who wept at the end of her final dance, said of her Bolero: "It was amazing. It was better than I expected it to feel."

Earlier, Hayley's flying routine with partner Daniel Whiston caused Spice Girl-turned-judge Emma Bunton to burst into tears.

Emma said: "I'm so emotional, your transitions were incredible. I feel emotional because I know how much you've worked for this and you're doing it with one of your best friends and it just was magical."

Ex-Bill star Gary Lucy, 28, said: "Hayley was fantastic. Her win was thoroughly deserved."

Hollyoaks hunk Kieron Richardson came third despite getting his two top scores of the series with 24 for his flying routine, and 24.5 for his punk dance.

The show was opened by Olympic heroes Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean performing a world exclusive FLYING version of their gold medal-winning Bolero routine.

Hayley Tamaddon went on Dancing On Ice to raise her profile, her father has revealed.

The former Emmerdale star, who won the competition last weekend, had reportedly been struggling to find work.

Her father Nassi told The Sun: "Hayley went on the show to win. The other contestants all have jobs but Hayley doesn't.

"She's been teaching drama part-time at Blackpool and The Fylde College, but that's been it. It has been tough. She hopes appearing on the show will raise her profile and help her get acting work."

Tamaddon recently revealed that she wants to work on more projects with her Dancing On Ice partner Daniel Whiston.

Really, i never would have thought that! Of course she went on it to raise her profile.

She did deserve to win, but i much preferred Keiron, she was annoying me at the end.

Dancing On Ice champion Hayley Tamaddon has landed the lead part in a Sheffield pantomime.

The former Emmerdale actress will play the title role in Peter Pan at the city's Lyceum Theatre in December, according to South Yorkshire's Star newspaper.

Tamaddon previously played the Fairy Godmother in a production of Cinderella at the venue in 2007.

The 33-year-old is currently busy with the Dancing On Ice live tour, which runs until May 9.

Tamaddon bowed out as Emmerdale's Delilah Dingle in 2007 and recently expressed a desire for a role on EastEnders

I am sure she will be back in a soap before long :)

Panto - best place for her with her stageschool grinning (apologies to any stage school people on here) - she really got on my wick towards the end, in fact from almost the beginning and she even managed to turn me off her partner Daniel with his wink to the camera when it panned in on him - so staged. Please no to EE - dont watch it a lot but deffo not watch if she turns up in it.

I really liked her in Emmerdale, and DOI. Probably wouldn't have much to grin about in Eastenders if she joined anyway!

Dancing on Ice judge *Jason Gardiner is to be axed from the show.

Jason, 38, was attacked for his bitchy comments on this year’s show.

Now TV chiefs are lining up *flamboyant *Pineapple Dance Studios star Louie Spence to take his place alongside Robin *Cousins, Nicky Slater, Karen Barber and Emma Bunton. An ITV source said: “Jason went too far and he’s paying the price for it now.

“There’s a very fine line between *offering constructive criticism and being downright rude. In the end he became a liability.” Earlier this year more than 400 viewers complained after Jason said Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies was like “faecal *matter that won’t flush”.

In the first series the dance *professional compared Olympic athlete Kelly Holmes to a man in drag. A year later he branded Sky News’ Kay Burley “ugly”.

The source added: “Jason became a victim of his own success.”

Christopher Biggins has revealed that he would "love" to become a full-time judge on Dancing On Ice.

The veteran entertainer and I'm A Celebrity winner has been standing in on the panel during the 2010 'Dancing On Ice Tour', alongside Karen Barber, Nicky Slater and former show winner Kyran Bracken.

Speaking about his stint on the reality TV jaunt, he told DS: "I've absolutely loved it. I think a lot of people were shocked to as to why I was chosen, but I'm there because I'm 'Mr Entertainment'.

"I've been in the business 45 years, I know exactly what is good or bad. I have developed an acute feeling for good or bad. And I think I was an asset to the show."

Biggins argued that the celebrities taking part, such as Chris Fountain, Hayley Tamaddon and Ray Quinn, were "as good as professionals". However, he ruled out ever going on the ITV1 show as a competitor.

"Don't be so stupid!" he joked. "You must be out of your mind boy! There is no way. No way. If I bent down on the ice, I'd never get up again. They'd have to get a JCB to pick me up."

When asked whether he would consider a full time judging role, he added: "I would love to do that. I would love to do it because on the ice tour, they have all reached a high standard and are very good.

"I would love to see the first day, see people making fools of themselves, and be constructive in their journeys on the ice."

Biggins launches the Market Kitchen 'Britain's Best Pudding' event at 7pm tonight on Good Food.
