Olly's version was MUCH better IMO and he put so much passion into it. Joe can only sing ballads.

Sadly I know the words to this song, having seen the Miley film earlier this year and being tortoured by constant playing of Miley CD.

I agree with you both possibly the worse of the X Factor winners and his version was cringe worthy. Olly's version was much more real. Joe can only sing ballads BORING :wall:

BOOOOOOOOO AT RATM!!!

I loove Joe, he was the best singer in the comp, he wouldn't have won if he wasn't.
Like Olly as well, but I wanted Joe to win a bit more. Im really glad he won :D

HATE the song tho, ANYTHING MILEY FRICKIN ********** CYRUS RELATED IS CRAPPP!

sorry but when they came out singing that song, i was like WTF ARE YOU DOING! Its a crap song, but it is better when the x factor contestants sang it.

only downloaded the song because Joe sang it.

X Factor winner Joe McElderry is favourite for the Christmas No1 slot after the closest battle in six years.

Last night he was just 9,000 behind Rage Against The Machine - but HMV said his debut single The Climb is now "flying off shelves".

Joe, 18, right, said yesterday.

"I never thought I'd be this nervous. I've literally been biting my nails and I'm not sure I'll sleep tonight."

The US rock band have led thanks to a web campaign to make their track Killing In The Name the first non-X Factor Christmas charttopper since 2004. But HMV predicted Joe's sales could hit 500,000 after a surge and said it will be "remarkable" if he did not triumph.

Joe McElderry has reached number one in the UK singles chart.

The X Factor winner lost out on the Christmas number one last week after an online campaign urged fans to buy the Rage Against The Machine song 'Killing In The Name'.

However, McElderry sold 196,000 copies of his debut single 'The Climb' over the last week, outselling Rage Against The Machine by 130,000 units.

'The Climb' may also become one of the year's top five biggest-selling singles. The number five spot is currently held by La Roux's 'In For The Kill', which shifted 660,000 copies, but McElderry is close behind after selling 650,000 singles so far.

The Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said: "The race for Christmas number one was the most exciting many of us can remember, but, having secured his own number one, McElderry can top his year off with another honour and has an excellent chance of making the year-end top five by next week."

I like Joe but I really don't like this song and think this was an awful song for him to release. The song isn't even that old!

I hope his future releases will be better.
