Rihanna has announced details of a UK arena tour set for May 2010.

The string of 8 dates will begin in Birmingham on 7 May before concluding in Glasgow.

The 21-year-old singer launched her latest album Rated R with a gig in Brixton, London last month where she was joined on stage by Jay-Z.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 11 December.

Released on 23 November, Rated R, the singer’s fourth studio album reached number 16 in the UK charts and 4 in the US Billboard top 200.

The album was, in part, produced by British drum 'n' bass duo Chase N Status.

The full dates are:
Birmingham LG Arena - 7 May

Liverpool Echo Arena - 8

London The O2 - 10

Sheffield Arena - 13

Nottingham Trent FM Arena - 14

Manchester MEN - 16

Newcastle Metro Arena - 17

Glasgow SECC - 19

how annoying that she releases them before christmas when i have no money. mind you it's almost 40 quid a ticket, what a cheak!!!

aaww thanks...but we live in glasgow hardly ever head down that way...expect when its take thatall you do is sign up to the arenas and to websites of who u would watch in concert and they send you pre-sale links

got tickets for newcastle last night, really couldnt afford it at the minute but she cannot be missed!!
