Nathan sounds a warning to Ryan

Airs on Monday, January 4 2010 at 19:00 GMT on ITV1

Nathan's intrigued after seeing Ryan and Maisie kissing and coldly warns Ryan that he'd better make a choice as he doesn't want to see his sister hurt. Guilty, Ryan goes to see Maisie but she insists she'll talk to her brother. They're a thrown, though, when Katie interrupts their conversation, beaming about a house that she's found for her and Ryan.

Later, Maisie and Ryan secretly meet and she informs him that she's spoken to Nathan who's agreed not to tell Katie about their affair. Ryan, however, shocks Maisie when he announces that he's going to break up with Katie.

Ryan passionately looks at Maisie and hugs her reassuringly, leaving a triumphant Maisie reeling from what they're about to embark on. Is Katie the only one whose world is about to come crashing down?

Meanwhile, Aaron feels uncomfortable when a male customer at the garage makes advances toward him and hands him his number. An amused Cain watches on and is quick to tease a self-loathing Aaron, who aggressively snaps at him.

Later, Paddy arrives at the garage to talk to Aaron about his birthday arrangements but when Cain mentions the gay customer, Aaron fumes as Paddy joins Cain in their spiteful jibes. Will Aaron come to terms with his sexuality?

Elsewhere, Nicola's annoyed to see Sally leaving Mulberry Cottage and confides in Jimmy that she's sure something's going on between her and Ashley.

Later, Ashley's helping Nicola and Jimmy organise the christening but insults Nicola's choice of song, reminding her that it's a religious ceremony. Offended, Nicola spitefully reminds Ashley that he's married and accuses him of having an affair with Sally.

Ryan ends his relationship with Katie

Airs on Tuesday, January 5 2010 at 19:00 GMT on ITV1

Katie's nervous about moving in with Ryan and her anxiety intensifies when he says that they need to talk. Katie bumps into Maisie in the village but is confused when she avoids conversation and races off to work.

Later, Katie's shocked when Ryan reveals that he doesn't think they're working, before admitting that he doesn't love her. When Ryan can't offer an adequate reason for dumping her, Katie's livid and angrily asks him to leave.

Riddled with guilt, Ryan and Maisie share a secret embrace. They assure each other that they've done the right thing, before agreeing to keep it a secret from Katie and their families for the time being.

Meanwhile, Adam mocks Holly when he hears her talking to Aaron on the phone. He teases his sister for throwing herself at him but Adam's pleased when she Holly admits that Scarlett fancies him.

Later at the pub, Adam notices Aaron staring at him and Scarlett. In the toilets, Adam confronts Aaron but Aaron lets the situation drop, not wanting to rise to his friend's spiteful taunts.

Aaron backs off when Holly kisses him but when he sees Adam and Scarlett kissing at the bar, Aaron throws himself into a passionate embrace with Holly. Will Aaron continue to lead Holly on? And when will Adam tell Holly about Aaron's true sexuality?

Elsewhere, Ashley's a little anxious by what people are saying in the village about him and Sally. He's therefore disheartened when she turns up at the church to help him with his work. Concerned about what people think, he politely tells her that he's busy. Not taking the hint, though, Sally brightly confesses that she'd love to help him.

Later in the pub, Ashley's downbeat and is worried what people might think of him being there with Sally. With that, he confides in Diane that he's scared about Laurel believing the gossip about him and Sally.

Diane, however, insists that Laurel wouldn't listen to such idle chit chat, but Ashley remains unconvinced.

Also, Cain surprises Charity with an expensive engagement ring.

Adam tells Holly about his near-kiss with Aaron

Airs on Wednesday, January 6 2010 at 19:00 GMT on ITV1

Frustrated that Aaron's using Holly to hide his true feelings, Adam tells him to his fling with her, insisting that she'll get hurt in the long run. Aaron, however, mocks Adam's threat, leaving his friend more eager than ever to protect his sister.

Later at Butlers, Holly mistakes Aaron's discomfort for thoughtfulness when he pulls away from kissing her. Aaron nervously covers but he finds it hard to relax as she leads him upstairs. Moments later, a high-spirited Aaron appears downstairs in only his boxers and as he retrieves a beer from the fridge, he's met with Adam's angry stare.

As the pair argue, Holly interrupts and shouts at her brother, clearly annoyed by his constant interfering. With that, Holly demands to know why Adam's so against her going out with Aaron. Pushed to the limit, Adam blurts out that Aaron tried to kiss him. The room falls silent for a moment but Holly doesn't believe him and as Aaron denies the whole thing, Adam ends up looking foolish.

Adam's gobsmacked at Aaron's complete denial and storms out, leaving Holly laughing at her brother's admission. Aaron kisses Holly but he's clearly unnerved by the close call. How long will Aaron continue hiding his true sexuality? Or will Adam publicly out his friend?

Meanwhile, Ashley thoughtfully flicks through the holiday brochures that Sally handed him. Sandy suggests that he should ask Laurel to go away with him but he's thrown when Laurel hangs up on him after he pitches the idea.

Fed up of seeing Ashley so down, Diane goes to Mulberry armed with a plan. She asserts that it's about time that Ashley told Sally to move on - as it's the only way he'll win Laurel around. Will Ashley tell Sally to leave the village? And will it be enough to gain Laurel back?

Elsewhere, Katie confides in Maisie about being dumped by Ryan and she seems genuinely concerned about her friend's predicament. However, when Katie asks her to find out if Ryan's seeing anyone else, she's forced to cover her guilt. Later in the pub, Ryan's awkward when Katie asks to talk but he abruptly brushes her off.

Later, Maisie's angry at Ryan for the way he treated Katie and insists that she deserves to know the truth. As the pair embrace, they reflect on the predicament they're in. Can Maisie cope with the guilt of stealing her best mate's boyfriend?

Sally tries to kiss Ashley

Airs on Thursday, January 7 2010 at 19:00 GMT on ITV1

Sally's thrilled when Ashley asks her if she'll pop around later as he has something he needs to talk to her about. Edna arrives home to find Sally all dolled up, clearly having made an effort for Ashley. While Sally's on a high about her visit, Edna's concerned about Sally's excitement.

As Sally arrives, Ashley nervously accepts the wine she hands him and clearly on a mission, Sally misreads his intentions. Ashley doesn't make the situation any easier for himself, though - while he cautiously attempts to tell Sally to leave, he tries to sweeten the atmosphere by complimenting her.

Sally's thrilled and thinking that he's about to profess his love for her, she leans across and kisses him.

Horrified, Ashley jumps up and questions her motives, but she insists that it's what they both want. Will Ashley finally realise what Laurel was trying to tell him all along? And has Sally finally blown her cover?

Meanwhile, John's concerned when he notices the tension between Adam and Holly. Eager to discover the truth behind their animosity, he questions Adam. Defeated, Adam admits that Aaron tried to kiss him.

Realising that his son isn't winding him up, John realises what Adam's insinuating. Aaron, meanwhile, is reassured when Holly believes his protestations that he isn't gay. Will Adam stop at nothing to reveal the truth about Aaron?

Elsewhere, Ryan's worried when he sees how downbeat Katie looks in the pub. He attempts to apologise but is quickly shot down when she calls him a lying, cheating scumbag, leaving Ryan shamed at his actions. Will Ryan come clean about his affair with Maisie or will it be a case of like father like son?

The Bartons discuss Aaron's sexuality

Airs on Thursday, January 7 2010 at 20:00 GMT on ITV1

Ashley's horrified by Sally's actions and claims, especially when she shouts that he chose her over Laurel because they're meant to be together. As an embarrassed Sally rushes out the house, Jimmy pops into Mulberry Cottage to talk about the christening.

Ashley despairs as he tells Jimmy about Sally and how foolish he feels for letting Laurel down. Jimmy consoles him but Ashley's wracked with guilt as he remembers all the things Laurel told him about Sally. He goes to Edna's to settle things with Sally once and for all. While he's there, Ashley curiously asks Sally Laurel's claims were true but she innocently denies ever harming his wife - suggesting that she'd swear on the Bible.

Ashley's stunned when Sally admits that she's fallen in love with him, while he realises that she purposefully tried to ruin his marriage. Sally panics as Ashley asks her to leave the village and begs him not to be so cruel. Will Sally leave the village? Will Ashley admit to Laurel that she was right about Sally?

Meanwhile, Natasha's suspicions grow when Nathan returns from playing golf using Mark's trolley - if Mark wasn't using it, then where's he been all day? At Faye's, though, she and Mark are arranging to put a deposit on a house.

When Mark returns to Home Farm, he puts some washing on and Natasha quizzes his actions. Mark, however, lies that he got soaked while playing golf.

As Mark leaves, a disbelieving Natasha reaches into the washing machine and retrieves Mark's golf shirt, which is bone dry. Natasha's suspicions turn to anger as she realises that her husband is lying to her.

Elsewhere, Moira's stunned when John tells her that Adam suspects Aaron is gay. When Adam arrives home, he's frustrated to find his family laughing at the idea that Aaron could be gay. Holly scoffs at the idea again, leaving Adam incredulous at his unsupportive family. Will anyone believe Adam's claims?

Aaron confronts Adam about his 'lies'

Airs on Friday, January 8 2010 at 19:00 GMT on ITV1

Adam won't drop his suspicions about Aaron being gay and while he's still trying to convince his parents in the pub, the Dingles overhear their conversation and question the Bartons' insinuations.

Later, Cain teases Aaron about being gay but rattled, he laughs it off, unhappy that Adam's being so insensitive. Paddy, meanwhile, is confused when Shadrach comments on Aaron's sexuality and he later questions Aaron, offering him someone to talk to. Aaron, however, brushes him off, making a point of telling him he's going to see Holly.

Ashamed, Aaron pays Adam a visit and confronts him about the rumours he's spreading. Aaron's further frustrated when Adam tells him that if he breaks up with Holly, he'll say that he misread their near-kiss. With that, Aaron storms away totally confused.

Will Aaron respect Adam's ultimatum and end things with Holly? Or will he own up to what really happened?

Elsewhere, Natasha's determined to discover the truth about Mark's edginess, so decides to test him by suggesting that they try for another child. She's unnerved, though, when she notices how cautious he is and pushes Mark further to explain, but is left disgusted when he uses Will's epilepsy as an excuse not to have another child.

Panicked, Mark visits Faye at the factory and they both worry that their affair's about to be rumbled. Faye insists that Mark's overreacting but when he reveals that Natasha wants another baby, Faye's reeling as they realise that they're going to have to come clean with everyone.

Elsewhere, Edna's troubled when she questions Sally about Ashley. Edna gets more than she bargained for in Sally's response, though, when Sally insinuates that she and Ashley were intimate and he's as much to blame as her. Sally's privately pleased, while Edna's thoughtful at Sally's 'revelation', having latched on, once again, to her scheming…
