Monday

Malachy's angry on discovering Mercedes and Calvin's affair and he struggles to deal with her infidelity. When Mercedes arrives for work at The Loft and sees Calvin, the sexual tension is palpable but they try to keep their distance, knowing what they did was wrong. They're all forced to suppress their feelings when Mercedes and Calvin are entered into the Mr & Mrs Sexy Santa competition at The Dog.
Kris is judging the competition and suggests a snogfest as the deciding round. It kills Malachy to watch but he knows it'd be all over with Mercedes if he says one word. He's forced to control his jealousy as Kris declares Mercedes and Calvin the winners.
Unable to deal with the situation, Malachy hits the bottle as Calvin and Mercedes succumb to their feelings and continue their affair.
Meanwhile, Neville's desperate to have the whole family together for Christmas and asks Josh to lure Hannah home. Josh agrees to speak to his sister and makes arrangements for a shopping trip. Josh broaches the subject of Christmas at the Ashworths' but Hannah remains defiant - she's not going home, not for Christmas, not ever!
Elsewhere, Myra accosts Duncan and Ricky, demanding to know where her luxury hamper is. In an attempt to cover their tracks, Duncan tells her that they gave it to Ricky's family who are in desperate need of food.
Myra's inspired by the lads' good deed and insists on buying a few extra Christmas presents for Ricky's family. Duncan, however, decides to make his own Christmas goodwill and steals some of the presents from under the McQueens' and Ashworths' tree.

Tuesday

Hannah arranges a girly night in with Nancy, Leila and Anita and everyone's surprised when Hannah announces that she's giving up college as it's not for her.
The party's a sombre affair and when Darren returns and questions who's been sick in the bathroom, the room grows silent and Anita's aware of Hannah's unease. Accepting the blame, Anita admits that it was her, before secretly telling Hannah that she heard her being sick earlier in the evening. Hannah panics when she realises that her secret's out…
A frantic Mercedes goes to look for Malachy after he didn't return home the previous night - she's convinced that he knows about her affair with Calvin. Catching up with Kris, Mercedes listens as he confesses about his bust up with Malachy. Calming her fears, Kris heads off to investigate further.
Kris bumps into Calvin and as accusations are exchanged, another voice can be heard in the mêlée and they turn to see Malachy. Reconciled with Mercedes, they head off home together, leaving Calvin alone and wondering if this is the end of his affair with Mercedes?
Meanwhile, Duncan leads Ricky to the shack where he's confronted with the stolen gifts from under the Secret Santa tree at The Dog. Much tomfoolery is had as the boys lark around opening presents - until they stumble across a body in the shack.
Fleeing to The Dog, they return with a cautious Neville, only to find the body has miraculously disappeared. Neville's interest is piqued when he discovers the opened presents - the boys have some explaining to do. However, the biggest blow to their day is the news that Duncan's being sent back home early to his parents' for Christmas later that day.
Elsewhere, as Rae and Newt continue to snipe at each other during their shift at Relish, Rae can't take it anymore and flounces out, insisting she can't work the same shift as him any longer.

Wednesday

Hannah's apprehensive when Anita calls around at the house. Evading the subject of her illness, conversation naturally leads to weight loss and Hannah reminisces about her friendship with Melissa. When Anita promises that she won't tell anyone about Hannah being sick, Hannah's relieved. Anita, however, struggles with the magnitude of her request. As Hannah's behaviour grows increasingly strange, Anita realises that she's out of her depth.
When a disapproving Josh arrives, Anita finds herself at the centre of a family feud and before she knows what's happening, she tells Josh her fears about Hannah. Anita's shocked, however, when Josh brands her a liar and refuses to believe her.
Meanwhile, Mercedes tells Calvin that they're in the clear with regards to Malachy knowing about their affair. The pair agree that what they had was a one-off fling and can't happen again.
Later at lunch, Malachy confesses his love for Mercedes and she reciprocates, but it's clear that she has Calvin on her mind. Unable to help herself, Mercedes lies once again and soon finds herself in Calvin's arms…
Meanwhile, with Christmas only two days away, Tom's worried how Santa's going to get in the house to deliver his presents and tells Steph his concerns. Steph later confides in Gilly about whether or not she can bring herself to tell Tom the truth about Father Christmas. Gilly offers to have a word with Tom and Steph's grateful.
Later, Gilly sets about his chat with Tom, but hearing how desperate he is to see Santa leads Gilly to one conclusion - if Tom wants to see Santa, then he'll do his best to make his wish happen.
Elsewhere, Rae and Newt's animosity towards each other continues. Newt tries another tack and decides to buy Rae some CDs to cheer her up. On discovering the presents, Rae's left puzzled but is begrudgingly thankful, leaving Newt pleased with his minor breakthrough.

Thursday

It's Christmas Eve and a frail Hannah manages to hide her illness from Darren but Josh and Rhys are proving a little harder to convince. Over at The Dog, Josh can't get into the festive spirit without Hannah and badgers Rhys to help him persuade her to return home. Despite being a little reluctant at first, Rhys accompanies Josh to visit Hannah. However, they're soon turned away by Darren.
Later, Darren discovers Hannah being sick and is furious that she lied to him. Darren throws her out and with nowhere else to go, she has no choice but to return home for Christmas.
Theresa's anticipating the arrival of her mum Kathleen but Myra's less than enthused as she's busy preparing for Christmas Day. When Theresa goes to Il Gnosh to await her mother's arrival, a cautious Myra asks Tony to keep an eye on her, fearing that Kathleen will let her down.
Tony keeps Thresea company at Il Gnosh but as he listens to her telling him what Katheleen's promised to buy her, he knows that she'll more than likely be disappointed. With that, he rushes out to buy her the present she so desperately desires.
Later, Tony has second thoughts about giving Theresa her present and decides against it. As the hours pass, Theresa has no choice but to give up and return to the McQueens', lonely and disappointed.
Meanwhile, after his little chat with Gilly about Father Christmas, Tom's sure that he won't be getting any presents from Santa this year, no matter how much Steph tries to persuade him otherwise. Over a chat with Gilly, Steph tells him that she feels helpless, as nothing she says will change his mind. Gilly reassures her and insists that he'll think of something to help Tom.
Elsewhere, on returning home, Cheryl surprises Gilly by dressing up in a Santa costume and has one for him to wear too. The Santa costume gives him an idea and he goes to pay Tom a visit.

Friday

Although Hannah's returned home for Christmas, all is not well at the Ashworths'. Neville's working hard to make Christmas Day special but nobody else seems interested. Hannah puts on a brave face and works hard to convince everyone that she wants to be there. Everyone's suspicious about her but they're too reluctant to speak out.
The situation takes a turn for the worse during dinner when Hannah announces that she intends to quit college. To avoid an argument, Suzanne and Neville brush the news aside but Rhys is unable to hide his frustration. He knows Hannah's avoiding eating and her announcement about college is the final straw. Rhys takes it upon himself to talk to Hannah and tells her that they can't go through the ordeal of seeing her ill again.
When Hannah reappears, she's packed her bag and asks her family to take her to the hospital - determined to prove that there's nothing wrong…
Meanwhile, as Cindy rifles around under the Christmas tree looking for presents, she spies an expensive looking box. When she opens it, she reveals a silver charm bracelet. Smiling to herself, she puts it away, happy with what she believes to be her gift.
Cindy wants to create the perfect Christmas but things don't go quite to plan. She serves up the turkey, adamant that it's fine to eat, but it's frozen. She's also forced to brush off complaints from everyone else.
In a bid to disguise her mistakes, she slips on some wine, grabbing hold of the Christmas tree for support. When she falls, though, she pulls the decorations and food down with her. With the dinner ruined, they all decide to escape to Frankie and Jack's to finish off their Christmas Day.
Later, Tony wants to sneak out to deliver his gift to Theresa but Dom persuades him not to. Tony relents and returns home to give Cindy the bracelet. It's made Cindy's day but leaves Tony feeling guilty about his actions.
Elsewhere, having told Hannah to leave, Darren's left on his own for Christmas. When he bumps into Jake in the village, he tells him that he's on his own. As Jake tells everyone that he's seen Darren on his own, nobody seems to care - least of all Jack.
Frustrated, Jake tells everyone the truth - that Darren saved Holly's life, not him. In a bid to brighten Darren's Christmas, Tom, Steph, Fernando and Jake decide to sing carols outside his window. Darren's moved by their display of affection.
