I am using FF version 3.5.5 and I have noticed that I keep getting the message:
Warning! A script on this page has been stopped due to low memory condition.
It only gives you the option OK. It has happened on various websites. I was given the advice to remove this by:
Start->Control Panel->Performance & Maintenance->System->Advanced->Advanced-> and then changing the Virtual Memory to "system managed size", click ok 3 times and then restart your computer.
But it appears to still be there but less frequent :(
Now I have switched to safari as that seems much quicker but I still miss FF!
I use explore and firefox.. I am on mozilla V5 and it works like a dream for me... what is your issue and I see if I can help?

Try upgrading to the newest version of FF
Or just use Opera
I used to like FF until I discovered Opera
Or Chrome. It's so much faster than any other browser I've used.
I foresee this thread turning into a "mine's better than yours" war.
Only reason I don't use Chrome is because of privacy issues

I have and it said it was 3.5.5
Did the problem occur after you upgraded?
The issue is to do with the speed of the javascript engine.
Moving to Chrome/Opera/Safri would probably sort it out

It was there when they brought out 3.5.2 - as of last night I had to switch to Opera as my love affair with FF is over!
I use safari at home, and explorer at work
I use firefox, but then to be able to download my uni work I have to use google chrome
Now I am really fed up with firefox, very slow at times, keeps crashing etc. Tried to install Chrome but nothing has happened. :searchme: I rebooted and nothing has changed. I have obviously done something wrong, but what? I used Firefox to give me Google, googled chrome and tried to download from there. Anybody can help with what I have done wrong please, thanks
Have you installed Chrome? Try looking in the place where your downloads go to see if there's a file there.
I keep clicking on download Chrome ... nothing happens, bottom left side says 'done'. Do I need to uninstall Firefox first maybe? :searchme:
Is there a new icon on your desktop?
I downloaded Chrome recently and didn't have any problems. I did it from Internet Explorer though, I'm not sure where Firefox keeps downloads.
I downloaded it from: http://www.google.com/chrome
No, there is not, that is why I think the laptop is not accepting it. But then I have not got a clue what I am doing when it comes to downloading :o I tried it through IE, that did not work either :( So hacked off with FF, keeps crashing :((

What do you mean by that NB?
No you won't need to uninstall FF. I can't remember what happened when I downloaded Chrome but most programs you do need to install after downloading.
Without wishing to sound patronising, downloading just put a selection of files on your computer. You need to extract those files and install them before you can use the program. Done usually just means that the download is complete.
If you're using XP, Vista or Seven downloads usually go to the download folder in My Docs unless you specify otherwise. If you're not sure where that is, you can search the folder path. Depending on what OS you're using, its usally Start > Run then type in this: C:\Documents and Settings\[USER NAME/COMPUTER NAME]l\My Documents\Downloads you'll need to fill in USER NAME with whatever your computer or user account is called.
If you've changed the download destination, you can find it easily. In FF, go to Tools > Options. Under the General tab, there's a section called Downloads. It will tell you in there which folder your downloads go to.
You can also check to see if Chrome has been installed but no shortcuts have been created. Again, it depends what system you're using but you can look it up in the installed program list (Control panel > Add/remove programs) or have a look through All Programs under Start. You can delete programs from the Start > All Programs list and if you don't uninstall them they will still show up in Add/Remove programs.
Hope that helps, Chrome is an excellent browser.
It installed automatically after I downloaded it - it was very easy to do - but maybe it depends on what OS/browser you're running.
I second that Chrome is a great browser.
Will try again when I am less tired, thanks for all your advice guys :D
