2706: Carmel's shocked by Dom's claim
Airs on Monday, December 7 2009 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Theresa's annoyed when Anita lies to Leila again. When Leila overhears the girls talking about Ricky, she assumes that Anita's lost her virginity, which Anita happily goes along with. Leila's shocked and slightly impressed to hear that her little sister has grown up. Although Anita knows that it's wrong to lie about it, she's flattered by the attention from Leila and finally feels like she's being treated like an adult.

When Anita finally plucks up the courage to tell the truth, Leila's annoyed that she's told yet another lie. Anita explains to Theresa that she was happy to let Leila believe the lie because she treated her as an equal for the first time.

Theresa encourages her to find someone new and suggests an older man. After a few encounters with Dave, Anita and Theresa think that they've found the perfect person for their plan.

Elsewhere, the villagers are preparing for Christmas and Myra's going all out and decides to decorate the outside of the house with lights. When Carmel finds out, she warns her mum not to fiddle the electricity to pay - after all, she after all has a reputation to maintain as the local PCSO!

Her warnings continue when she sees Ricky tripping over one of Dominic's decorations as it was obstructing a public footpath. With that, she tells Dominic to rearrange the decoration or face prosecution.

When Carmel returns to Il Gnosh, she finds Dominic spray-painting the patio. Carmel approaches and issues him with a fine. Dominic's fuming and when he sees Theresa doing the same thing at Evissa, it gives him an idea. Tricking Carmel into believing that there's someone vandalising Evissa, he walks her to the shop where Theresa is decorating.

Wanting to appear fair, she issues Theresa with a fine. Dominic and Carmel argue and she's shocked to hear that in just a matter of weeks, he'll be a PCSO just like her.

Airs on Tuesday, December 8 2009 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Ste's trying his best to encourage Amy to spend time with the kids. She's still reluctant and although Ste's trying to be patient, he's struggling to be supportive. When she tells him that she's working at The Loft, becomes frustrated that she can spend time at The Loft but not with her children. Ste then tells Amy that the kids don't even know who she is anymore.

Amy's shaken when she arrives for her first shift at The Loft but tells Sasha that the job is exactly what she needs. Sasha seems concerned but encourages her to keep her chin up. The pair have a drink together but when Sasha notices Amy helping herself to another glass, she confronts her.

Amy explains that she needs the alcohol to help her relax. Sasha, however, is worried that she'll get into trouble and warns Amy not to drink anymore. Sasha thought she was helping Amy out by offering her a job but Amy sees things differently and storms out.

Elsewhere, hoping to discourage Dominic from pursuing his PCSO aspirations, Carmel offers to take him out on the beat. Dom's suspicious of Carmel's gesture and insists that he has to work. Tony, who's overheard the conversation, tells Dom that he can have the afternoon off and so he reluctantly tags along.

As Carmel and Dom walk through the park, Carmel shares some of the horrors of the job with him. He finds it hard to believe that things are as bad as Carmel says they are but she's determined to put him off. When they spot Ste and the children playing football next to a 'No Ball Games' sign, a merciless Carmel tells him to move along or face prosecution.

Dom's outraged by Carmel's behaviour and joins Ste and the kids in their game of football, prompting Carmel to issue both of them with a fine. Dom exacts his revenge, however, when he realises that Myra must be tampering with the electricity to pay for her Christmas lights.

Myra and Carmel ask Dom to keep quiet but in order to buy his silence, they must adhere to his conditions!

2708: Anita collapses at the Xmas party
Airs on Wednesday, December 9 2009 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

It's the Christmas party at the student halls and the group prepare the flat. Hayley's gutted that she'll have to leave early as she's going home for Christmas. The others, however, promise her a good send off. Later, Dave bumps into Theresa and Anita in the village and casually mentions the party to them.

When Anita arrives at school, she's confronted by Ricky who tries to apologise for running off. They're soon interrupted by Theresa, who claims that Anita's now seeing Dave - and they're going to his party later that day. Desperate not to lose Anita, Ricky and Duncan decide to gatecrash the student party.

When Anita and Theresa arrive at halls, Dave's clearly surprised but sees no harm in allowing them to stay. Hayley and India are less then impressed but it's time for Hayley to leave and India's distracted with an outfit emergency.

As the party livens up, Dave notices Josh that has moved on to drinking water in a bid to pace himself. With that, Dave sneakily tops him up with vodka. Later, when Anita walks in on Dave in the bathroom, she's shocked to see him holding a bag of MDMA. However, eager to impress, she tries to act blasé about it.

When Ricky sees Dave and Anita leaving the bathroom, he quickly jumps to the wrong conclusion and grabs Dave, telling him to stay away. Anita is mortified, but on hearing his apology, she realises how much Ricky likes her. They pair move in for a kiss but are interrupted by Ricky's phone - and once again, has to leave.

A horrified Theresa is also forced to leave the party when a drunk Duncan throws up over her but Anita refuses to go. Anita's now in her own world as she dances and sways around, oblivious to the scene she's causing. Feeling out of control, it suddenly becomes too much for Anita and she collapses.

Meanwhile, Gilly continues to be swept along in his relationship with Cheryl, not really thinking about whether it's what he really wants. They arrive at The Dog, much to Neville's delight as he particularly likes Cheryl's bubbly nature. Gilly and Cheryl enjoy some flirty banter as he helps to decorate the pub. Neville mentions how Gilly and Cheryl make a great couple.

Buoyed by Neville's comment, Cheryl decides to drop her bombshell and tells a confused Neville and Gilly that they should celebrate - her new job at The Dog. Unsure at first, Neville gives Cheryl a trial but it quickly becomes clear that she's a natural and he hires her. Gilly, however, is less enthusiastic - there's no escape from Cheryl now…

Elsewhere, Michaela and Amy are fed up and penniless. In an effort to collect some funds, Michaela turns up at the school and asks Jacqui for £20. As expected, Jacqui declines but before Michaela leaves, she notices Jacqui's throwing out a load of veg from the canteen. It's all still edible, though, and pound signs immediately flash before Michaela's eyes.

Unbeknown to them, Gaz is watching from afar and witnesses Michaela and Jacqui bundling the stock out. As Michaela and Amy enjoy an evening in with some chick-flicks and wine from the takings, Jacqui and Des head out. As Des pops into Il Gnosh, a devious Gaz reveals to Jacqui that he knows all about her scam.

2709: Anita accuses Dave of spiking her drink
Airs on Thursday, December 10 2009 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

After collapsing at the party the previous night, Anita's touched to find Dave waiting for her when she's discharged from hospital. Dave feels guilty and wants to make sure that she's okay but he doesn't stick around for long. Anita feels dreadful, suffering the after-effects of the drugs. With that, Anita confides in Theresa that she took some powder at the party. Still a little spaced out, she dreams about Dave and meeting up with him later on. Theresa's impressed that Anita's managed to bag an older student but Anita soon realises that she's happier with Ricky.

When Ricky realises that Dave spent the night in hospital with her, he walks out, leaving Anita devastated. Anita tries to piece together what happened at the party and she's nervous but excited as she waits to meet Dave for their date. She's gutted, though, when he insists that it's not a date - he just wanted to make sure she wouldn't blab about him having the drugs at the party.

Humiliated in front of Theresa and Ricky, a vulnerable Anita accuses Dave of spiking her drink.

Meanwhile, Mercedes tries to convince herself that she no longer has feelings for Calvin and puts on a show of affection towards Malachy for Calvin's benefit. She's later annoyed when she turns up at work and realises that Calvin has Malachy down to do a stock-take in the cellar - and they'll be left alone to man the bar. Calvin, however, assures her that it wasn't some cunning plan to spend some time alone with her.

As Mercedes desperately tries to avoid any eye contact, it's not long before their sexual tension is bubbling over. Only Sasha's interruption stops them from acting on their affections. When Mercedes sees Malachy talking to Cheryl, her guilt manifests itself into anger and she accuses him of flirting with her.

Later, Sasha sees Calvin giving Mercedes a comforting hug and wants to know what's going on…

2710: Dave's forced to protest his innocence
Airs on Friday, December 11 2009 at 18:30 GMT on Channel 4

Anita's still feeling rough after her recent supposed spiking. Ricky expresses his concerns to Theresa and vows that he's going to do something about it. Confronting Dave in the SU Bar, Ricky accuses him of spiking Anita's drink and announces to the rest of the bar what he thinks happened. Realising that his friend's reputation is on the line, Josh suggests that Dave speak to Anita urgently.

Catching up with Anita, a desperate Dave is eager to hear what she's been saying. Under pressure, Anita panics and as tempers explode, Josh takes control and drags Dave away. Incandescent with rage, Dave proclaims his innocence and tells Josh that Anita found some MDMA at the party. Adamant he never spiked her, Dave declares she must have taken it herself.

Seeing that Josh is unconvinced of his innocence, Dave's gutted, especially when a furious Ravi arrives at halls demanding answers. When Ravi threatens to send him down for spiking Anita, Dave's world is rocked to the core…

Meanwhile, Jacqui seizes the opportunity to make some quick cash as she pilfers boxes of fish fingers from Hollyoaks High. She's about to make her getaway when Gaz discovers what she's doing and tells Des. Jacqui immediately goes on the defensive but Des asks her what sort of teacher would he be if he lied to protect his girlfriend over a pupil?

Reiterating that he became a teacher to help kids like Gaz holds no sway with Jacqui and she gives Des an ultimatum - her or the fish fingers!

Des approaches Gaz to sound out his feelings about not reporting Jacqui. However, finding himself accused of being a bent teacher sits heavy with him. Jacqui's confident that Des will choose her but hearing that she's been sacked sends her into a panic, especially when Des tells her exactly what he thinks of her.

After a long hard think, Jacqui apologises to Des for her behaviour and the couple are back on track. Again.

Elsewhere, Leila and Ravi are concerned when Anita returns from school claiming that she feels unwell. Assuming that she's been drinking again, Ravi takes the hard line with her but Leila convinces him to back down as she'll speak to their sister.

When Anita returns from her altercation with Dave, Leila's desperate to get to the bottom of it. Anita, however, remains tight-lipped, even when Ravi appears holding Anita's hospital identity band. Fleeing from the room, Ravi's rage knows no bounds when Theresa confirms their worst fears and he heads off to confront Dave…
