David Hasselhoff has reportedly been found passed out at his home.

Radar Online claims that an ambulance was called after Hasselhoff was discovered at his house in Encino, CA at around midday.

It is not yet known whether alcohol was involved in the incident.

Hasselhoff has struggled with alcoholism in the past and was supposedly taken to rehab last month after drinking for days.

Baywatch star David Hasselhoff is being held in a psychiatric unit after collapsing with a seizure.

The America’s Got Talent judge was sectioned after being rushed to hospital on Friday, according to US reports.

He had been found in his California home by his 16-year-old daughter Hailey, who called 911.

It is understood that the actor, nicknamed The Hoff, who has battled booze problems for years, may have had a seizure after medication he was taking reacted badly with alcohol.

According to website RadarOnline.com, Hasselhoff, 57, was taken Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

He was later put under an involuntary psychiatric hold under the California Welfare and Institutions Code 5150. The order is for anyone who authorities believe to be a danger to either themselves or to others, are gravely disabled, or suffer from a mental disorder.

A neighbour called Christian said: “I asked one of the paramedics how David was doing.

“He told me his eyes were rolling back in his head, he was drooling and that he’d had a seizure. This isn’t the first time this has happened to him.”

Hasselhoff’s aides have tried to keep the star’s long battle with alcoholism under wraps.

Despite their denials, he is believed to have been hospitalised for alcoholic poisoning more than five times.

This is the second time this year Hailey has had to call an ambulance for her father – he also collapsed in May. Her distraught sister Taylor, 18, tried to confront their dad about his drinking problem two years ago.

She posted a humiliating video on the internet of him in a drunken stupor, attempting to eat a burger off the floor.

Despite pledging to get sober, Hasselhoff has continued drinking. Last month he fell off the wagon at Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday party.

He spent the following days boozing at St Martin’s Lane Hotel in London, and allegedly accidentally hit a doctor.

Hotel staff said he was so drunk he had to be escorted out and was taken to Capio Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone, West London.

He was discharged two days later.

And earlier this month, Hasselhoff raised eyebrows with a slurred, erratic speech at the MTV VMA Awards in Berlin.
