Kinda had a feeling this would happen seeing as Maisie has probably been in every scene with Ryan and Katie i think

There was a bit in the Soaplife mag last week or so, that mentioned a pair of half-siblings getting "closer" - i did think of these two since they dont know who they are to one another

It was a cert to happen especially with them sharing the same father albeit as yet unknown. This is soapland after all. Both Corrie and Deadenders have done it so why not Edale.

It's kind of a predictable plotline but you know it's got to come out in the wash that Mark is the father of the besotted pair. It's one ay of tieing the storyline up before Mark Wylde leaves Emmerdale.

EMMERDALE will shock viewers this Christmas with an INCEST storyline.
Hunky Ryan Lamb falls for poor little rich girl Maisie Wylde, his half-sister.

Bigamist Mark Wylde (Maxwell Caulfield) had a secret first marriage to Ryan's mum Faye - but neither Ryan nor Maisie is aware they're related.

Noticing the attraction between their children, Faye and Mark have schemed to keep them apart Both breathed a sigh of relief when mechanic Ryan (James Sutton) appeared to fall for horsewoman Katie Sugden.

But Maisie (Alice Coulthard) and Ryan get closer and finally embrace in a steamy clinch.

A source told TV Biz: "There are lots of exciting storylines planned for Christmas, but this is a belter."

The pair's romance begins when Maisie offers to go Christmas shopping with Ryan.

Our source said: "They give in to their feelings. But they'll feel sick and betrayed when they realise all their similarities are down to genes and not chemistry."

The storyline will lead up to Maxwell's exit from the soap in January.

When it comes to kissing under the mistletoe Ryan is finding Maisie harder and harder to resist. Totally unaware that she is his half sister, his feelings for her intensify.

With Katie who is clueless that her boyfriend fancies her best mate, she unintentionally pushes the two together when she invites Maisie to join them in to see 2010. As the bells ring in the new year, will Ryan and Maisie commit the ultimate taboo

Of course they will commit the ultimate taboo... I am not a big fan of Katie but she is going to be gutted. Ryan should have ended their relationship once he realised that he has feelings for Maisie.

I can't help but laugh about this whole storyline as I thought that Ryan would know by now that Mark is his father instead of a year on he knows nothing!
So now he is attracted to his half sister? This can only end in tears for everyone even for Katie :(
Mark needs to confess his 'secret' soon before this becomes an incest storyline :(
