For those who aren't familiar with Julian Simmons, he's a continuity announcer for ITV/UTV in northern ireland. He's renowned for his take on the soaps, not to mention his impressions of some of them lol Anyway, thought i'd let u all know about his blog which is not only funny, but also gives you a sneak peek of what's coming up. i see him regularly here on UTV and he's not half as funny as he thinks he is. He overdoes the campness just too much. Nice hair and fake tan though:lol:

Alan, I do understand Norn Irish accents and a lot of the time I get the humour too, but not in this case. :nono: :D
I dont mean the Norn irish accent in general but the different variations that there are. People in Belfast speak entirely different to people in Ballymena who in turn speak different to people in Derry or Enniskilllen. We may be a small country but we have loads of different accents.
But I can read his columnsin any accent I like and I just don't find them funny
It would appear that all of Julians humour does not float your boat then but I have to say in his defence that when you actually hear him reading it then its is mildly amusing. Its certainly not the accents of BBC NI or well known accents like Jimmy Nesbitt.
