Monday

Frankie's desperate to have her family back together now that Jake's been released - she just needs Newt back. Visiting him in hospital, she's relieved to be told that he's been given the all clear and is free to leave. Not wanting to rock the boat, though, she conveniently fails to mention that Jake's back, so when they return home, Newt's less than impressed to find him there - he can't forgive Jake for what he did to Charlie. When Frankie pops out, Jake tries to explain himself to Newt by comparing their illnesses it only serves to anger the youngster.
Jack returns and pleads with the lads to at least try and get along for Frankie's sake but Newt can't and under the pretence of going to the shops, he leaves. Frankie returns and is furious to find that Newt's disappeared again. Frantic, the trio head out in search of him. When they spot him on top of the archway, it's almost too much for Frankie to take and she pleads with Newt to come down.
Frankie's devastated to hear Newt talk like he means nothing to her but after a few heartfelt words from Jack, Newt agrees to go home with them. Without Jake around, Newt begins to relax but it's short-lived when Frankie reveals that they're moving to the Roys' old house and Jake will be joining them.
Meanwhile, despite Mike's encouragement, Amy continues to struggle with her post-natal depression. His interference only causes her to feel under more pressure and heightens her feelings of incompetency as a mum. With Mike out at the solicitor's and Ste on his way over, Amy panics about what to do with the kids.
Mike's finding it increasingly difficult to deal with his own grief as well as Amy's behaviour and eventually snaps at her. Amy genuinely feels bad but she can't shake off the feeling of dread she has over being alone with Leah and Lucas.
Ste eventually arrives and although at first tentative towards Amy, he soon gets carried away about with the thought of them being a real family once again - not realising that his comments are making Amy feel 10 times worse. A buoyed Ste pops to the shop but on his return, he's horrified to discover that Amy's done a runner, leaving Leah and Lucas home alone.
Unable to reveal his true feelings to Steph, Gilly writes a poem instead. While reading it to Rhys, Gilly's taken by surprise when Steph suddenly arrives and before he can stop her, she takes his poem.
Steph assumes that the poem is for Sarah and is warmed by Gilly's loving words - until she reads her own name and that Fernando has "burro breath". Steph's furious with Gilly and feels foolish for believing that they were good friends. With that, Steph tells him that their friendship is over.
Gilly can't bear not to have Steph in his life - even if just as a friend - so when he tries to apologise, he lets her believe that it's Rhys who has the crush on her. A bemused Steph is relieved that Gilly hasn't upset her but tells him that Rhys has no chance.
Believing that he's smoothed things over, Gilly's left worried when Fernando tells him that he's looking for Rhys. Gilly tries his best to prevent the pair from meeting but the inevitable happens and a confused Rhys soon realises what Gilly's done. For once, Rhys decides to take the rap for Gilly's lie but a snide remark earns him a punch from Fernando - and a warning to stay away from Steph.

Tuesday

Lauren's concerned about Newt's refusal to discuss Rae and his reluctance to accept that she wasn't real. At the skate park, Carmel offers Newt the chance to talk but he declines her offer and grabbing Lauren, promptly breaks into Relish. Looking around, the pair are spooked when they discover a sleeping Ste. As they flee with Ste hot on their tail, Lauren lets Newt escape and faces the music alone. Carmel's desperate to understand what's up with Lauren and she's supportive when the youngster reluctantly reveals that she thinks Newt no longer cares about her.
Later, Lauren's concerned when Newt decides that he wants to speak to the old lady he mugged in the hope of returning her purse. Convinced that it's a bad idea, Lauren's unease is proven to be correct when a photo within the purse makes her blood run cold - it's Rae!
Returning the purse, Lily's terrified by Newt's reappearance but she's halted in her tracks when he tells her that Rae is dead. However, a commotion behind him causes Newt to turn. At that moment, he sees Rae clearly alive and well, while she wonders what the hell's going on…
Meanwhile, Theresa's showing off her new skater girl look and after a disastrous attempt on a skateboard, she's furious to find Anita offering her the arm of friendship. Before she can reply, Newt and Lauren come flying past, closely followed by Ste who's chased them from Relish.
Inside, it's clear that Ste's been sleeping rough and Anita, thrilled that Theresa's actually talking to her, calls Ravi and asks him to turn up. Ravi's arrival sees Ste begging for mercy but Ravi sees another side to Ste. Anita's upset that Theresa refuses to make friends, but Ste's pleasantly surprised when Ravi offers him a job as Relish's new chef!
Jake's dreams of finding a job falter when Steph points out that he'll have to declare his criminal record to prospective employers. Frankie berates her insensitivity and convinces her to give him a chance at Mobs. Arriving for his training, Steph drags them all off to The Dog for a pep talk.
Clearly unhappy at having to spend time in the company of someone who she sees as a maniac, Cheryl's relieved when Jake leaves after Rhys embarrasses him. Defending her brother to Cheryl, Steph insists that Jake deserves a chance and surprises herself by how supportive she feels towards him.
Elsewhere, a guilty Gilly begs Rhys to keep quiet about his love for Steph and suggest that he makes a play for someone else, thus convincing Fernando that he's not interested in Steph. Arriving at Mobs, Rhys is perturbed by the evil looks being cast his way from Fernando - and to top it off, Rhys realises that Gilly's suggesting that he gets it on with Cheryl!
Encouraged by Fernando and Gilly, Rhys pretends to chat up Cheryl but she gets the wrong end of the stick and assumes that he's talking to Jake. Humiliated, Jake flees The Dog with Cheryl's cruel jibes ringing in his ears. Leaving The Dog, Gilly fails to dodge Cheryl's advances and when she asks him on a date, he knows there's no escape.

Wednesday

When Newt turns up at Rae's house and finds her alive, he can't believe it. She has no idea who he is, but Rae's gran Lily identifies Newt as her mugger. Newt then bolts when Lily calls the police. Leo, meanwhile, warns Lauren not to get caught up in looking after Newt. Soon afterwards, an excited Newt turns up at the Valentines' as he's seen Rae. Lauren tells him to prove it and with that, they turn up at Rae's house.
Lauren tries to convince Newt that he made up Rae in his mind. He won't let go, though, as he loves Rae. Lauren soon begins to wonders why she's getting involved. Rae tries to get rid of Newt and Lauren but is intrigued by his insistence that he saw her die. She thinks that it may have been a premonition. Rae asks Newt to take her to the place that she was supposed to have died.
As they walk to the warehouse, Newt realises that Lauren's in the way and asks her to leave. Furious, Lauren blows up at him, exclaiming that she's sick of being picked up and dropped again.
Meanwhile, Rae's still freaked out by Newt's stories about how they know each other. She's backing off and at that moment, Newt notices that her arm's not injured like he remembered it to be. As realisation dawns, Newt returns Rae's gran's purse and walks off, clearly upset. Rae, meanwhile, is intrigued by the encounter.
Meanwhile, Cheryl tries to get Calvin's attention. Before her date with Gilly, she shows off her outfit for Leo and Calvin's approval. Meanwhile, Steph finds a glum-looking Gilly who hasn't made much effort with his outfit. Gilly's frustrated when Steph enlists Fernando to help dress him.
Later, Rhys finds Gilly in Drive 'N' Buy wearing a flamenco shirt but his mind is still on Steph. A jealous Rhys tells Gilly that he needs to count his blessings. The date doesn't go well but as Calvin and Steph walk past, Gilly and Cheryl try to make them jealous.
Afterwards, it's clear that neither Cheryl nor Gilly is keen to meet again. Unseen by Cheryl, Rhys signals to Gilly to make a move. As Calvin and Steph pass by again, Gilly and Cheryl dive in for the kiss to make their dream dates jealous. Rhys, Steph and Calvin all smile but the moment's ruined when Gilly's false tooth comes loose in Cheryl's mouth…
Elsewhere, Tom doesn't like living alone with Steph. He'd prefer to move in with the rest of the family, leaving Steph hurt. Meanwhile, Anita's ignored as Ste, Ravi and Leila talk about Relish. Ravi wants both his sisters to work with him, while Anita announces that she wants to move to Middlesbrough to be with her parents. Tom's in a huff as Frankie and Jack help Steph move boxes around at her flat. Ravi finds Anita at the skate park and persuades Anita that he needs her around.
Later, Leila tries to convince Anita to stay as she's worried about Anita's eating problems. When Tom walks into Relish and overhears Ravi telling Ste that he needs to find a place to stay, Tom makes Ravi an offer. Steph returns home to find Tom trying to rent out her flat.
Eventually, Steph agrees that they can live with the rest of the family. Ste's happy when Ravi invites him to live with them. Anita's now staying and the Roys are in a good place for a change. Steph also believes that she and Tom have done the right thing and thanks him for being so stubborn.

Thursday

Newt manages to get rid of Darren who's been hassling him but he's annoyed when Jake comes into his room trying to be friendly. Jake encourages Newt not to run away from his problems and to apologise to the people he's hurt. Newt sees Theresa in the village and tries to speak to her but she just has a go at him for abandoning her.
Later, as Rae leaves her house, it becomes apparent that Newt's videoing her. Newt approaches her but she threatens to call the police. Rae's freaked out and confused as Newt runs away. Theresa finds a forlorn-looking Newt at the skate park. She apologises for being harsh earlier in the day and is disturbed when she notices the video of Rae.
As Theresa realises just how messed up Newt is, she's genuinely worried. They share a tender moment but Newt thinks that they would never have worked together. Newt eventually makes up with Jake and says sorry for being rude to him. It's clear that Newt's decided to make some changes and move on with his life. With that, we see Newt cutting off his hair and wiping away his old self.
Meanwhile, Sasha and Calvin are nearly caught out giggling about Mercedes. Sasha has to make an excuse but asserts her authority, while Calvin's worried when he receives another letter from the council complaining about noise and fighting in the street. Calvin also has a go at Sasha for wearing an inappropriate outfit but she tells him not to be so patronising.
When a tipsy Darren wanders in, Malachy refuses to serve him but Sasha tells Malachy that he can't turn away paying customers. Darren uses their disagreement to wind up Malachy. Jake wanders in soon after and Sasha loses her temper. Malachy accuses her of having double standards, though: just like Darren, Jake's a paying customer. Sasha retaliates that it's different - Jake killed her mother.
Darren continues to push Malachy until he eventually snaps and drags Darren across the bar. Jake manages to break up the fight and afterwards, Malachy suggests that Calvin could solve his problems with the council by taking on Jake as a bouncer. Calvin reluctantly agrees. Jake's apprehensive about the idea but is also very grateful. Sasha can't believe that Calvin would hire Jake, but Calvin insists that he doesn't need her permission.
Elsewhere, Archie's sure that someone's out to get him, while Dave has an essay due and is sick of Archie bothering him. Dave's further dismayed when Archie starts arguing with Charlotte again. Archie thinks that Charlotte may have put Lydia up to the prank calls he's been receiving.
The SU Bar has been decked out for Halloween and as Dave feeds Archie strong, homemade cocktails, Archie still thinks people are watching him. Elliot's the next person to be accused for making the prank calls. He doesn't know what Archie's talking about but lets him know exactly what he thinks.
When Dave reveals that he's behind the calls, Archie doesn't take it well. Charlotte finds Archie looking terrified in the SU corridor after reading a scary note that's been left for him. Despite their differences, Charlotte's sympathetic.
That night, Archie can't sleep and as he goes to the fridge, he doesn't notice the dead rat that's been left there.

Friday

Archie's freaked out when he finds the dead rat in the fridge and is paranoid that someone's out to get him. He accuses Lydia of playing tricks on him but she's not interested in his theories. Josh is alarmed when Archie tells him about the rat but as they talk outside the union, someone's watching them. Charlotte, Lydia and Josh join the party at The Loft as Archie and Dave arrive back at halls to find the door suspiciously open and the room in darkness.
Terrified, the lads make their way in and find the mannequin with a note saying 'your friend's first'. Archie's angry and convinced that Lydia's responsible, he bursts into The Loft and confronts her.
Back at the flat, Hayley amuses herself by dressing up the mannequin until there's a knock at the door. Finding no one there, she goes out to investigate, unaware that a cloaked figure has slipped into the flat behind her. Unperturbed, Hayley returns inside but she's confused when she finds the mannequin in a different position. On hearing a thud from the bedroom, a nervous Hayley heads to investigate - just as Archie, Dave and Josh return and come face to face with their tormentor.
Meanwhile, Gaz tries to befriend Lauren but he's shocked when she tells him that she wishes that he hadn't survived his attack. Newt sees them together and watches for a while, before heading over to check that Lauren's okay. He's shocked, though, when Lauren agrees to meet Gaz and tells Newt to back off. Lauren's suspicious that Gaz is trying to set her up and exacts her revenge by covering him in paint as she films it on her mobile. Gaz is left blazing with anger.
Sasha and Mercedes are still at odds with each other as they decorate The Loft for their Halloween party. Sasha's not impressed by Mercedes' choice of decorations and instantly gets her back up by lording it over her, while Calvin and Malachy try to keep the peace. Sasha's not happy that Calvin's employed Jake and is irritated by everything he does.
When Jake tries to save Mercedes from falling off a ladder and accidently grabs her bum, the two girls rally against him, until they remember that they don't actually get on, before continuing to snarl at each other. The night descends into chaos, though, when Mercedes and Sasha fail to see eye-to-eye over their Halloween props and both end up covered in slime.
Tony and Cindy take Holly and Tom trick or treating. Holly's amused when Tony arrives with Tom dressed as Father Christmas. Cindy, meanwhile, is excited to see what Tony's got for her. She imagines that it's a saucy vampire outfit but she's not impressed by her giant pumpkin costume.
Meanwhile, a friendless Darren is on the look out for a Halloween party and is highly amused when he comes across Cindy and Tony in the village. He can't resist a dig at Cindy's outfit but Tony quickly hurries them away. Unable to find a party, Darren finds himself alone in Relish but he's happy when Cindy, Holly and Tom turn up. At that moment, Darren realises that he's missed Cindy's company. When Tony arrives, he's slightly suspicious of Cindy and Darren spending time together and makes a point of taking them away.
