Yeah Phil he was fathered by Archie there is no way he came from the same gene pool as Grunt. :rotfl:
This should be interesting; it seems that Ronnie forgives her for walking out because she said that Archie would've put her into an early grave if she stayed, but not for failing to take her and Roxy with her.
I'm guessing she hears that Archie's died because she arrives in the New Year and decides it's safe to come back. Or maybe she kills him because it says that they can hardly believe that that's her because she's so different when she arrives :hmm:
I wonder if any more will come out about when Ronnie was pregnant with Danielle. It was about that time that Glenda left I think and I didn't think Danielle was mentioned enough when Joel was on screen.

Star of The Gentle Touch and C.A.T.S. Eyes Jill Gascoine has joined the cast of EastEnders as Archie Mitchell's estranged wife Glenda.
The 72-year-old - who played Detective Inspector Maggie Forbes in the '80s TV shows - first appears in Walford as Glenda in January, much to the shock of her daughters Ronnie (Samantha Womack) and Roxy (Rita Simons).
Despite having never been seen on screen, Glenda's potted backstory has formed through her children, ex-husband Archie (Larry Lamb) and sister-in-law Peggy (Barbara Windsor).
Described as Archie's "first beautiful, quiet and dutiful wife", Glenda walked out on him and the girls around the time Ronnie gave birth at the age of 14. Archie's controlling nature turned the once brash and confident Glenda into a nervous wreck and when Archie orchestrated their teen daughter's child Amy to be taken away after the birth, Glenda fled to Australia to start a new life.
Their mother's sudden departure from their lives left Ronnie and Roxy wondering exactly why she abandoned them and while Roxy resolved never to forgive her, Ronnie can understand why she made a break for freedom.
However, Glenda's sudden arrival on the Square stuns the Mitchells as Archie's meek and mild first wife has apparently evolved into a "polished, demure, dynamic and assured" woman.
Her shock appearance is rumoured to tie in with this year's Christmas storyline twist involving Archie.
Of her new role, Gascoine said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the cast EastEnders and I am really excited to be back on British TV."
Executive producer Diederick Santer commented: "I'm so looking forward to welcoming the hugely talented Jill to EastEnders. I have a very clear memory of watching C.A.T.S. Eyes every Friday night, while - to the fury of my mother - munching my way through an entire packet of Jaffa Cakes."
He added: "Jill's character Maggie Forbes was always my favourite - tough, glamorous, and exciting - perfect qualities for Glenda Mitchell."

She looks fantastic for 72 years young
It would be good if she was still Archie's wife and entitled to everything after his death
Oh yes, the Queen Vic remains in the Mitchell's hands, just a different pair of hands
It wouldn't surprise me if she ends up being suspected of murdering him at least. It could even be her to shock everyone as she won't have been seen on screen by the time Archie dies.
'EastEnders' recasts Glenda Mitchell

Jill Gascoine has stepped down from the role of EastEnders' Glenda Mitchell, forcing the soap's bosses to recast the character just days after the initial announcement.
With such tight filming schedules, the series was forced to hire a replacement, opting for ex-Dempsey and Makepeace actress Glynis Barber.
Earlier this week, producers revealed that 72-year-old Gascoine - star of The Gentle Touch and C.A.T.S. Eyes - had signed to play the role of Archie Mitchell's (Larry Lamb) estranged wife Glenda.
However, during her first day on set, Gascoine took the decision to withdraw from her filming commitments as she felt that she "lacked the right experience to film such a big continuing drama".
Speaking of her conclusion to step down, Gascoine said: "I was so looking forward to playing Glenda but having spent the last 15 years working in America - largely acting in single drama and writing fiction - I felt, on arrival, I lacked the right experience to film such a big continuing drama.
"I have tremendous respect for EastEnders and the cast so I didn't want to let the show or my fellow cast members down."
She added: "I'm really sad that I won't now play a part in EastEnders but I'd like to wish Glynis Barber the best of luck in the role of Glenda."
Barber - who portrayed the part of Harriet Makepeace in the 1980s crime drama and more recently Emmerdale's DCI Grace Barraclough - began filming with EastEnders earlier this week and will make her first appearance as Glenda in the New Year.

Ok so from 72 to 53, what a bit of a big age drop! I take it that this new actress will be playing a character whos older than 53, else she'd have had Ronnie when she was only 18!
She easily could have had Ronnie when she was 18, it was the 70s where mothers were young
Glenda was 26 when she had Ronnie and she was 30 when she had Roxy
I agree with Bryan on the age drop, now it's probably going to look like Glenda wasn't much older when she had Ronnie than Ronnie was when she had Danielle.

Aw I liked her in Dempsey and Makepeace. But she is too young to be Ronnie and Roxy's mum. Yuck and too young to be Archies wife either.
when Ronnie gose looking for Glenda how dose she know where Glenda is.
EastEnders actress Rita Simons has praised her new co-star Glynis Barber.
The 32-year-old, who plays barmaid Roxy Mitchell on the BBC One soap, confirmed that she has enjoyed getting to know the drama's latest recruit in recent weeks.
Former Dempsey & Makepeace cast member Barber landed the part of Glenda Mitchell last month. Glenda is the ex-wife of sinister Archie (Larry Lamb) and mother of Roxy and Ronnie (Samantha Womack).
In an interview with Inside Soap, Simons explained: "It's amazing how much Glynis looks like Sam. It's made me decide that I look like Larry! Ronnie got Glenda's genes and Roxy got Archie's.
"I'm getting on really well with Glynis. Glenda's a typical Mitchell woman. She's a fiery one and very similar to Ronnie in personality as well as looks."
Barber was cast as Glenda after The Gentle Touch star Jill Gascoine stood down from the part following one day on set. She will be seen on screen for the first time in the New Year.
some talk on line of a return for glenda

EastEnders is bringing back Glenda Mitchell for a brief but memorable return.
Glynis Barber will reprise her role as Glenda in the show's New Year episodes, but producers are keeping tight-lipped about why the feisty character heads back to Walford.
It's been nearly five years since Glenda left Albert Square as public enemy number one in March 2011, when her affairs with both Phil Mitchell and Ian Beale had been exposed.
Glenda was left disappointed when all of her family members turned their backs on her, but with a difficult Christmas now ahead for the Mitchells, she'll be back at the centre of the drama.
When Glenda reappears, it's just as her daughters Roxy and Ronnie are reaching crisis point over their ongoing feud.
Roxy also faces a terrifying ordeal when her partner Dean Wicks attacks her, while Ronnie's battles with Vincent will reach dangerous levels over the festive period - forcing her to choose a side between the Mitchells and the Hubbards and take drastic action.
An EastEnders spokesperson teased: "It's a pivotal time for the Mitchells and the big question that remains is: what brings Glenda back?"
EastEnders airs a dramatic double bill at 6.30pm and 8pm on New Year's Day on BBC One.

Glenda Mitchell will drop a life-changing bombshell on her son-in-law Jack Branning in the aftermath of Ronnie and Roxy's funerals on EastEnders next week.
Glenda, Jack and the rest of the family are set to face another heartbreaking day in Walford as the tragic sisters are laid to rest in a joint funeral.
Jack (Scott Maslen) is currently struggling to hold it together after the Mitchell siblings died in a tragic swimming pool accident on New Year's Day.
Glenda, meanwhile, is facing the harrowing prospect of saying a final goodbye to both her daughters at once during the difficult day.
When the funeral arrives, emotions are still running high among everyone and certain residents are struggling to keep their true feelings to themselves.
But the drama doesn't end after the ceremony is over as Glenda drops an almighty bombshell that is set to cause shockwaves.

I really think Jack made the wrong decision asking her to move in, I assume it is so the writers will push Jack into bed with her, so he sleeps with Ronnie's cousin, sister and mother
I do think she was in cohoots with Danny to get money from Jack

I've got a sneaky feeling that both Jack and Glenda are playing each other.
If Glenda's threats to take Matthew were made in the hope of a payout, I'm sure she won't have given up on getting money out of him yet. Also, I'm unconvinced that he's made a sudden u-turn and wants her around the kids. I think it's more likely he's trying to keep her sweet while he thinks up a way to get her out of their lives for good.
I think I would call her bluff, go to mediation over joint custody, the kids still get to see each other but she gets to pay half the upkeep. But then I guess the real papa is on his way and he out trumps them both.
Does Jack ever see his other daughter or she now forgotten.
