I was nearly crying watching that on the BBC website, even though I knew the baby survived with only a bang to the head.

What a shocking video, and you could just see the mother screaming and screaming.....

Thank goodness the baby survived.

My heart nearly stopped just watching the video. That baby had a very alert guardian angel.

Its unbelievable that the baby survived, the poor train driver as well though, seeing it and knowing there was nothing he could do,

Benn reading this on other forums and some people are saying its bad parenting. I suspect its just to get a rise out of others.

I think your right, from the video it sisnt look there was anything that could have been done, it was just an accident that luckily wasnt tracgic.

God must have been in a good mood today because it is a miracle that the baby survived with minor injuries.

It is not bad parenting..she took her hands of the pram for a split second.. it would have been different if she walked away

It did not look like she applied some brakes though. Don't pram have brakes? :searchme:

Yeah but sometimes they don't work.. I have found that sometimes you think you have put the on but they don't work... or she could have been rocking baby minutes before this and forgot.. I really don't think it is bad parenting, it was just a very unfortunate accident..

I don't think it is due to bad parenting, I agree with you, it was just an accident. Just wondered about the brakes.

Yeah.. prams do have breaks.. I remember on time with Charley in her buggy/pram, and there is a catch to fold it up to take in on and off buses or cars, I got of the bus and thought I had secured the catch, walked 2 steps and the buggy folded in half with Charley inside...
