Jane receives a pile of mail, in tonight's visit to Albert Square.

That could be a bit unrealistic by then, if the postal strike goes ahead!!!

Perhaps she is getting the pile of mail from a private contractor rather than Royal Mail

EastEnders' Jane (Laurie Brett) and Masood (Nitin Ganatra) finally kiss in a fortnight's time during a heart-to-heart in the café.

I personally didn't think that they'd ever give in to their feelings for each other. I always thought that it'd be something that viewers would be willing to happen but never did. However, they share another moment with each other as a frustrated Jane confides in Masood about her marital problems.

Having received an application to adopt, Jane's flustered when Masood spots the envelope. Realising that Masood now knows about her predicament, the pair head out to the café for a coffee. While there, Jane admits that she feels like her hopes and aspirations will never come to fruition as Ian's not interested in the slightest.

Later, Ian tells Jane that if she wants kids, she should find another man to make it happen, insisting that he has enough parental responsibility. Turning to Masood for a shoulder to cry on, there's a charged moment between them and Jane ends up going in for a kiss...

Lucy's mugged for her phone
Airs on Monday, November 2 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Frustrated by the noise of the wasps that have nested in his roof, Archie's climbing the ladders as Janine walks past. As they talk on the Square, they glance across to The Vic and notice Peggy watching them. A little later, Archie sees Sam walking past but she insists that she wants nothing more to do with him because of what he did to Peggy. He reminds her, though, that he raised the money for her bail but she interjects that the rest of the family declined his offer. With a little more persuasion, Archie manages to convince her to eat lunch with him. She later turns up at the house with Ricky in tow. Over lunch, Ricky doesn't hide his mistrust of Archie. In order to chat to Sam alone, Archie asks Ricky to clear the wasps' nest.

While Ricky's in the roof, Archie suggests to Sam that she move in to one of the spare rooms at his house, before mentioning Brazil. Sam's confused, though, as moving out of the country would mean that she would skip her bail. Ricky suddenly appears and insists that the wasps are still alive. As Sam and Ricky leave, Archie promises his niece that she can have the largest room. Ricky attempts to talk Sam around but Archie mentions that providing Sam with a good home is what her father would have wanted. Later, Archie sees that Billy's struggling for a room and quickly offers the other spare room at his house. Peggy spots Billy and Archie talking but her comments push Billy over the edge and he agrees to take Archie up on his offer.

Later, Billy attempts to deal with the wasps' nest, before Janine turns up with the pest controllers from the council. Janine's quick to comment about Billy moving in, but Archie insists that Billy's potentially useful.

Meanwhile, Syed checks his phone when Christian suggests that he return home to intercept the letter that's been sent to Zainab by the blackmailer. At that moment, Lucy walks in. Syed returns home and asks Amira if there's been any post, lying that he's waiting for a wedding catalogue. Syed then receives another text message demanding £300. Later, Syed leaves the cash in a phone box and as he does, he receives another text asking him to walk away. At Masala Queen, Christian's furious at Syed for giving in to the blackmailer's demands. They soon hug but are forced to spring apart when Amira turns up. At the phone box, Lucy takes the money but is startled by Lucas. As Lucy walks down an alley with her new phone, Jay lifts his hood and jumps her, stealing her phone in the process…

Elsewhere, Billy searches for a job; Lucas proposes to Denise again with an engagement ring, before they share a passionate kiss; Lucy calls Billy a loser in front of Jay; Tanya realises that Jane wants a baby; Denise tells Tanya and Jane that she and Lucas are getting married at the end of November; Jane confides in Tanya over a bottle of wine; Jane's determined to have a baby; Liz and Owen reluctantly congratulate Denise and Lucas of their impending nuptials; and Tanya lends Oscar to Jane for the afternoon so she can remind Ian what it's like having a small child.

Archie and Janine plot to torch The Vic
Airs on Tuesday, November 3 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Stunned about having attacked Lucy, Jay stares at her as she lay motionless on the floor. Regaining consciousness, Lucy asks Jay what happened and he claims that he just found her. He helps her back to the Beales' where Ian's looking after Oscar. While Jane talks to Ian about adopting, Jay walks in with a dishevelled Lucy. Ian's furious that she's been mugged and goes to call the police, which visibly unnerves Jay. Concerned that she'll be caught out as the blackmailer, Lucy puts Ian off the idea. Ian tries to give Jay a £10 reward, but he declines and informs Ian that Lucy's attacker was after her new phone. Dr Al checks Lucy's injuries and he suggests that she go to the hospital as she could have concussion. With the phone in his pocket, Jay panics when Ian asks Lucy for the number. Jay makes a swift exit and bins the phone in the Square gardens.

Later, Ian returns from the hospital without Lucy as she's been admitted. As Ian's collecting a few of Lucy's belongings, Jane tries to help, but he says that she's too busy looking after Oscar. Jane reveals that she's been prevented from having a child of her own and an argument ensues. Ian insists that she has to move on, before viciously screwing up the adoption papers. A tearful Jane uncrumples the papers, drops them in a folder and hides them away.

Meanwhile, Archie's dismissive of Janine's plot to burn down The Vic but she explains how authentic it would look - they'll make it look like an inside job so the insurance company doesn't pay up, forcing the Mitchells to sell as the family's money has been usurped by Sam's surety fund. Billy soon interrupts their discussion but when Janine begins insulting Peggy, Archie suggests that she leave. Out on the Square, Archie's handed a flyer for 'The Vic On Tour's bonfire event but Peggy snatches it from him, insisting that he's not invited. Later, Archie turns up at Janine's flat. When Ryan's out of the way, Archie hands her a box of matches - they're going to frame Billy for The Vic fire, just as Billy and Jay raise a toast to Archie…

Elsewhere, Ian sends Jane an SOS message to help with Oscar's nappy; Denise isn't best pleased by Owen's presence in The Vic; Syed and Christian attempt to intercept the blackmailer's letter to Syed when Masood walks into the café with the post; Liz takes pleasure in telling Denise that Lucas has been 'bashing more than his bible'; Christian's shocked when he opens the letter; Owen unveils his injuries to a dumbfounded Denise but quickly leaves when everyone presumes that Lucas was responsible; Christian's confused when he calls the blackmailer's phone and sees Masood with it, having retrieved Lucy's missing phone from the bin in the Square; Lucas confesses to Denise that he caused Owen's injuries, before Denise takes him to Dot's to apologise to him; and Christian's stunned to hear that Lucy was mugged and realises that she's the blackmailer.

Jane and Masood share a kiss
Airs on Thursday, November 5 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Archie proposes a new business venture to Billy, speculating that he's looking at opening a new bar and will need an expert to help him run it. Excited by the potentially life-changing venture, Billy begins planning. Later, Archie tells Janine about Peggy's financial woes and suggests that it's the perfect time to burn down The Vic and reap their rewards - and it's no secret that the Mitchells are struggling as it was broadcast to everyone in The Vic. He then hands her Billy's wallet and insists that he plant it to frame Billy. As Archie makes his way to the tube station, he receives a call from Janine who's packed her arson kit. Rushing to Janine's flat, he's frustrated to hear that she's having second thoughts about their plan.

Furious about a potential missed opportunity, Archie decides to take matters into his own hands and heads over to The Vic. Having dropped the wallet in the barrel store, Archie strikes a match, completely unaware that Peggy's inside…

Meanwhile, Jane's delighted to receive an adoption application through the post. She leaves it on the table and when Masood wanders into the Beales', he goes to write a note for Jane. He lifts an envelope off the table, revealing the application to adopt. At that moment, Jane wanders down the stairs and Masood admits that he's seen the paperwork. The pair have a heart-to-heart and while Jane voices her concern that her desires will be fruitless, Masood urges her to tell Ian exactly how she feels and explain how much having a baby would mean to her. Later, Jane tells Ian that she's desperate for a child, but he snaps and declares that he has enough parental responsibility and if she wants children, she should find another man.

Jane's devastated and when Masood turns up at the café, they talk about Ian's revelation and before they know what's happening, Jane's leaning in for a kiss…

Elsewhere, Peggy admits to Ronnie and Roxy that The Vic's running at a loss; Christian confronts Lucy over the blackmailing; Lucy finds Peggy's accounts in the café; Lucy tries to thank Jay for helping her after the attack by serving him a fry-up; Ronnie and Roxy reassure Peggy that they'll help to turn The Vic into a profitable business again; having looked over Peggy's accounts, Ian offers her a loan, before blurting out to the locals - including Achie - that the pub's running at a loss; and Lucy protests that she was blackmailing Syed for Christian's sake.

Also, Jay confides in Billy that he's done something stupid, but doesn't reveal the identity of the person he attacked; Lucas tries to make amends with Denise; Christian blurts out the identity of the blackmailer at the bonfire celebrations; Owen warns Denise that Lucas is bad news but Denise throws him out; Jay turns up at the Beales' with a box of chocolates for Lucy but walks out when she asks if he fancies her; and Syed follows Lucy back to her house…

Archie's taken aback when Peggy kisses him
Airs on Friday, November 6 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

In the cellar at The Vic, Archie ignites a strip of newspaper, oblivious to the fact that Peggy's inside pouring herself a drink. Pouring a bottle of vodka over the flames, Archie smiles, before throwing it across the room. Hearing the smash, Peggy goes to the cellar door, baseball bat in hand. She shouts that she's called the police, prompting a panicky Archie to start extinguishing the flames. Later, Peggy walks around the barrel store and calculates the damage. In a bid to appease her curiosity, Archie lies and states that he saw two kids running out of the gate while he was walking past. Peggy, however, is still puzzled as to why the arsonist chose the only night in recent times when the building was empty. Archie manages to leave but before he does, he insists to Peggy that the only women he cares about live in The Vic.

Later, Archie's debriefing Janine on the evening's events and suddenly realises that he left Billy's wallet in the cellar. Over the road, Peggy finds it on the floor, confused as to why it's there. Ronnie asks Peggy if she wants any help, but Peggy insists that the fire was the work of kids and not to worry, before ushering her off to bed. With that, Peggy calls Archie. Returning to The Vic, Archie asks Peggy why she called him and she explains that she didn't get a chance to thank him for putting out the fire. As Peggy goes to get Archie a drink, he wonders what she's planning. Over a drink, the pair reminisce about the old days. Talk soon returns to the fire and Peggy questions her husband why he never shouted that there was a fire. Archie's adamant that he was too busy contending with the flames to think.

Peggy then shows Archie the wallet she found on the floor of the barrel store and asks how it ended up in there, as Billy's not been in The Vic since they had their argument. Archie then explains that the kids who started the fire probably stole the wallet, too. One step ahead, Peggy points out that a wallet thief would have stolen the money inside. Archie tries to laugh off Peggy's insinuations, but she bluntly suggests that he was the one who started the fire and claims that he planted Billy's wallet there to make it look like he was the culprit. Archie checks that the pub's secure and insists that he had nothing to do with the fire. Peggy can't look at Archie but all of a sudden, he grabs her and forces her to look him in the eye. At that moment, Peggy grabs Archie and kisses him…

Elsewhere, Masood tries to play down his kiss with Jane; Denise goes to apologise for throwing him out of the house; Jane reassures Masood that she won't tell Ian about their kiss; Lucas spots Denise leaving Dot's house; Jane finds Ian asleep on the sofa with a sign asking her to wake him; Lucas prays for forgiveness, before pocketing a knife and heading over to Dot's to see Owen; Ian tells Jane that he'll adopt with her if she wants to; with his hand on the knife, Lucas confronts Owen and insists that he leave Walford.

Also, Jane realises that Ian would only be adopting for her sake and states that it won't work; Owen moves closer to Lucas and Lucas grips harder on the knife; before Lucas leaves, he gives Owen a week to leave and when they shake hands, Owen's hand is covered in Lucas's blood; and Jane packs her bags to leave but Ian states that if she walks out of his and the kids' lives, she can't return.

They share a kiss but I don't think they will have a full affair as Jane is leaving Ian to move in Aunt Sal's B&B.
