Tonight's episode kicks off a dramatic and compelling week's viewing for Coronation Street fans as Carla returns to Weatherfield and time starts to run out for Tony Gordon...

It is the day of baby Liam's christening and after a difficult start to the day an uneasy truce is called between the Connors and Maria (Samia Smith) and Tony (Gray O'Brien). Helen (Dearblah Molloy) is touched and grateful when Maria relents and dresses Liam in the family christening gown. As the family settle down for lunch Tony poposes a toast but is interrupted by a phone call. Clearly unsettled by the call Tony tells Maria and the Connors that he has to go to an emergency meeting but assures them he'll be back in time to leave for the christening. Leaving the house Tony heads straight for the cemetery and Liam's grave where Carla (Alison King) is waiting for him!!

Elsewhere on the street Luke (Craig Kelly) is also keeping secrets as he furtively packs a bag. An unsupecting Rosie (Helen Flanagan) heads off to Underworld with him full of ideas about the changes she will make now that she is the majority shareholder - Luke strings her along whilst secretly deleting his computer files and planning his escape, but what exactly is he up to?

Pam (Kate Anthony) has been debt collecting for Bill (Peter Armitage) but he's less than impressed when she returns with a boat from one customer in lieu of payment. Joe (Reece Dinsdale) however is quite taken with it.

PI for the rest of the week

Monday 19 October [2]

A stunned Tony (Gray O'Brien) takes in Carla's threatening demeanor at the graveside. It is clear she is here for a reason. She calmly tells Tony that he has overstepped the mark setting up home with Maria and the baby and that he has to end it now, sell her his shares in Underworld and leave Weatherfield for good - or she will tell the police everything. Tony's pleas that he loves Maria cut no ice with Carla (Alison King) and she makes it clear she means every word she has said.

Meanwhile back on the street Maria (Samia Smith) and the Connors are enjoying their pre christening lunch oblivious to the drama unfolding at the cemetery.

Carla's return has also had a knock on effect at Underworld as it starts to become clear to Rosie (Helen Flanagan) that Luke has been less than honest with her. Realising he has sold her shares that he no longer owns she tries desperately to cancel the cheque - but too late, Luke has cleaned her out and disappeared without a trace!

Elsewhere Gail (Helen Worth)is furious when Joe (Reece Dinsdale) returns home with a boat and Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) finds out Freda (Alil Briggs) has lost her job and her home.

Thursday 22 October

Rosie's (Helen Flanagan) crisis over Luke's fraud proves the perfect cover for Tony (Gray O'Brien) as he struggles to come to terms with Carla's ultimatum. Telling Maria (Samia Smith) he has been caught up with Rosie's problems he arrives at the house in the nick of time just as the christening party are preparing to leave.

As they arrive at the church Tony gets a text and notices Carla (Alison King) sitting in a car nearby. Unnerved he approaches and she tells him that if he goes through with being godfather she will march into the church and spill the beans to the congregation. Tony begs her to wait until after the service for Maria's sake and promises he will meet her afterwards to sign over his shares. But as she agrees and leaves Tony makes a phone call - what is he planning?

Meanwhile Sally (Sally Whittaker) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) console a devastated Rosie as she comes to terms with the fact that she has lost everything. Kevin tells her to go to the police but can't help but wonder if it is a blessing in disguise as Stape's money has caused nothing but problems.

It's Molly's (Vicky Binns) birthday and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) has arranged for Jack (William Tarmey) and Connie (Rita May) to join them at the Rovers - Molly is thrilled to see them and delighted with her presents - until Tyrone surprises her with his gift!

Friday 23 October [1]

Having held up the christening Tony (Gray O'Brien) finally arrives but no sooner have proceedings started than his phone goes and he hot foots it out of the church once more.

This time however it isn't Carla waiting for him, but Jimmy (Robert Beck), and Tony has the upper hand. Just as Carla had threatened him with the police Tony tells an agitated Jimmy that the time has come for him to get rid of Carla once and for all otherwise he'll have no choice but to tell the police everything. Realising Tony is not making idle threats Jimmy agrees. Back in the Church Tony takes his place beside Maria and prepares to renounce evil - knowing all the while that he has just signed Carla's death warrant!

Elsewhere Molly (Vicky Binns) explains to Kevin (Michael Le Vell) that Tyrone's gift of a home gym is going to make it very difficult for her to sneak off to the motel.

Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) is less than pleased with the noise Joe (Reece Dinsdale) is making working on his boat but Gail (Helen Worth) sticks up for Joe despite not being best impressed with the boat herself.

But as the clock ticks Tony starts to have second thoughts about having Carla killed and tries desperately to get hold of Jimmy and call off the hit.

I don't think it will be going on for too long, I expect by Christmas, Coronation Street residents will know the truth about Tony who will be off to prison and Maria will go off to Ireland or Cyprus (maternity leave for Samia), so it will just be Carla running the factory then :)

I hope it's not going to be a long story line, the last time they all had a story line together, it was almost a year long.

No it is a long storyline, that doesn't conclude till late 2010. It was ment to finish this year but then samia announced her pregnancy, which ment maria had to leave before the end of the year so gray obrien had his contract extended and will return next year after panto leave.

Gray O'brien and Samia Smith have finished filming at corrie since last friday. Samia filmed her last scenes at 9 months pregnant. They are both unscreen untill middle nov - week 23rd nov, the week carla returns after tonys confronation with roy.

Rosie Webster is horrified when she realises ex-lover Luke Strong has run off with all her money.

The factory boss convinces Rosie to buy his shares in the business.

But he fails to tell her he no longer owns them.

What Rosie doesn’t know is that scheming Luke defaulted on the repayments so the shares have reverted back to former owner Carla Gordon.

But having had his wicked way with Rosie and her cash once before, he tricks her into handing over all her money.

And by the time the smitten babe discovers the truth it’s too late for her to do anything about it.

A Coronation Street insider said: “Rosie has been flaunting her newly-found wealth ever since she was given the cash by John Stape because of his guilt at kidnapping her. He had hoped she would use it wisely and invest in her future.

“But that wasn’t Rosie’s style.

“She bought a flash sports car and designer clothes and bailed Luke out of his financial troubles by investing in the factory.

“So when he finds out he no longer owns any shares in the business he quickly realises he can fleece Rosie of even more of her cash.

“It’s a low thing to do but some would say that she has finally got her comeuppance.”

Our source on the hit show added: “There certainly won’t be many on the Street who’ll feel sorry for her once they find out what’s happened.

“For years she’s built up her position as the bitch of the Street and now looks like the moment it all comes home to roost for her!”

I can't wait until she receives her comeuppance, and the look on Sally face will be a picture... hahaha

Sally comes from a working class background, and the way she acts, anyone would think she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. As the saying goes: Be careful who you upset on the way up, you never know, when you will meet them on your way down...

Could not have happened to a better family - apart from Sophie, I like her, she is funny. :rotfl:
