View Full Version : Archie Dying
The latest soap magazine hints that Archie will exit at Christmas and that his exit would be death. Archie is dying and is planning on setting up someone for his murder (think Chris Tate from Emmerdale). I'm guessing Ronnie and Phil would top of his list.

Perhaps he could pin it on a conspiracy of the whole Mitchell Family and get rid of the whole lot in one fell swoop. :cheer:

I'm surprised they never killed him sooner.
If he's dying, framing someone for his 'murder' wouldn't wash when it came to the post mortem.

maybe assisted suicide
Is he's dying, framing someone for his 'murder' wouldn't wash when it came to the post mortem.
If i remember correctly in Emmerdale Chris Tate poisoned himself and blamed Charity so if Archie has a fatal illness he might kill himself make it look like murder

I don't think bureaucracy matters in Walford. They wouldn't notice!

You can be dying and still get murdered at the same time
Last night's phone call from the hospital might indicate health problems for Archie
Last night's phone call from the hospital might indicate health problems for Archie
I was thinking that. Presumably he's still having check ups if he was telling the truth about having cancer. After he lied and told his own daughter that her daughter was dead and told his granddaughter that her mother didn't want anything to do with her, it wouldn't surprise me if he was lying about it. Assuming that he was telling the truth, maybe it was a call about some bad test results or something. I wouldn't think they would give results out over the phone, but then this is EastEnders.
From Todays Sun
EASTENDERS toerag Archie Mitchell - played by Larry Lamb - is to be killed off at Christmas, TV Biz can reveal.
The serial schemer will meet his maker after being murdered in the Queen Vic.
He will be stretchered out in a body-bag.
The death will spark another soapland whodunnit, with several Albert Square regulars in the frame.
The scenes mark the explosive finale to the storyline that has seen Archie plotting with Janine Butcher to buy the legendary pub.
His presence has also become more and more irritating to the other Mitchells.
Things finally come to a head on Christmas Day. A show insider said: "Since Archie first arrived in Walford he's managed to lie, cheat and manipulate everyone around him.
"Over the next few months he is set to get even worse - so it's fair to say he's made enemies of enough people who'll be glad to see the back of him."
Sources say Archie's arch enemy Phil Mitchell will emerge as the No1 suspect.
He hates Archie for breaking his mum Peggy's heart.
Meanwhile minx Janine has previous killing form - she bumped off hubby Barry - and would love to get her hands on Archie's loot.
His daughter Roxy has already disowned him.
Roxy's sister Ronnie has never forgiven him for making her give up daughter Danielle for adoption.
Larry, 62 - Gavin's dad in hit comedy Gavin and Stacey - has already filmed his final scenes, but it is not yet clear how he meets his grisly end.
A BBC spokesman said: "Fans can expect high drama."

RIP Archie Mitchell
does he really deserve an RIP! More like RIH (Rot in hell)
How many murders have been at the Queen Vic now?
So who does everyone think does it? I think Ronnie. Phil's a bit obvious as he's threatened it and fell out with Peggy when he didn't do it the first time. I don't think Roxy has it in her and I learned in Psychology that you're more likely to be murdered by someone in your own family than by anyone else.
Ronnie and Phil are too obvious

My money's on Peggy.
I am thinking Janine.. she is suppose to be plotting with him to take over the vic, maybe he finds out about Barry and frames her..
ARCHIE Mitchell’s murderer will finally be exposed during a special live episode of the BBC’s Albert Square soap.
Fans will see Walford’s master manipulator bumped off in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.
But they will not find out whodunit until Friday, February 19, we can reveal.
The show’s top brass is planning to use the revelation as the focal point of the 25th anniversary celebrations.
For the first time in EastEnders’ history, one 30-minute episode will go out live from the set in Elstree, Herts.
Executive producer Diederick Santer, 39, confided: “I want it to be a memorable slice of Walford drama in every sense. Every time I think about this episode I get excited as well as a little nervous.
“It’s a big test for every member of the production team and, I hope, a big treat for the audience.”
Scripts for the show are under lock and key. Only top executives know the ident*ity of the killer and even that could be changed at the last minute.
Suspects are Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks, 28), Ronnie Mitchell (Sam Janus, 36), Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor, 72), Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden, 50) and Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons, 32).
All of them have reasons to bump off ace schemer Archie, played by veteran actor Larry Lamb, 66.
Quite a long time then until we find out who has done it

It could be Darren of course. He seems to be responsible for most things these days.

The lil bugger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It actually could be. Even though Archie did give him the money that Jack promised him after the sale of the car lot, I got the impression that Darren kind of blamed Archie as well as Jack for the car lot not being his business any longer. It would be going over the top to murder Archie for that but then the writers do seem to like having the least likely suspect as the guilty party.
I hope its Sam and she gets locked up permanently
