Britney Spears is to release a new career-spanning hits compilation, it has been confirmed.

The Singles Collection, billed as a "celebration of the tenth anniversary of her debut on the music scene", will be released in the UK on November 23.

It will be preceded by the single '3' - produced by longtime Spears collaborator Max Martin - on November 16.

The Singles Collection will be available in two different editions. The 'Standard Version' will feature 17 of her most popular songs alongside the new track '3'.

Meanwhile, the 'Ultimate Fan Box Set' will contain all 29 of Spears's singles, each packaged in its own slip case together with an additional track or B-side. The 'Box Set' will also include a DVD featuring all of Spears's videos in chronological order.

Britney Spears has released six studio albums since making her chart debut in 1999, the most recent of which is last year's Circus. She released a previous compilation album, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, in 2004.

Shes only had two albums since her last one! anyway i wont be getting this, ive already got her cds

Definetly buying the boxset, she has alot of singles that were not on her greatest hits, plus the boxset has a dvd of the songs.

The new single "3" goes to radio next week!! its been described as

"A club banger...Gimme More with more edge. Sounds similar to Womanizer.. the vocals and the beat will rock your mind"

Britney Spears has announced the tracklisting for her upcoming compilation album.

It will feature 17 of the singer's hits alongside new single '3', produced by longtime collaborator Max Martin.
However, her 2002 single 'I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman' will not appear on North American editions of the album.
Spears will also release the 'Ultimate Fan Box Set', a collectors' anthology containing each of her 29 singles packaged in individual slip cases, on the same day.
