What would you say is the best anti-virus program to use on your PC?

Norton?
AVG?
McAfree or something else?

I wouldn't touch Norton with a barge pole. I had it on my first pc years ago and it was blocking every program, sending alerts every few minutes and doing its own thing.

I use AVG and find it suits my needs. McAfee is pretty good too.

I have McAfee on the other laptop and it slowed it right down because it checks everything. Norton on this one and don't really have any problems.

Download the free edition of avast. If you want a commercial one go for kaspersky.

Don't go for norton. That will slow your pc down

I have used Norton in the past but never felt that it was doing a good job.
I'm currently using McAfree and it seems to slow everything down and I'm beginning to really hate it!

Thats a new one - avast- is it that good?

Meh

For free software - yes
otherwise go for kaspersky. It is very good and won't slow your computer down
