    Susan and Nate

Neighbours' Susan Kennedy will be left in serious danger after Nate Kinski unintentionally buries her alive.

The dramatic scenes will take place in the UK cliffhanger in December, before the Australian soap gets taken off air over the Christmas season.

As Susan continues to worry about Nate's odd behaviour, her suspicions will increase when his boyfriend Chris Pappas reveals Nate (Meyne Wyatt) has been having nightmares again.

Although Karl (Alan Fletcher) tries to convince Susan to not carry the burden of Nate's problems and let his therapist help, Susan ignores Karl's advice when she spots Nate heading into a park carrying a shovel.

Feeling intrigued and wanting to get to the bottom of Nate's strange behaviour, Susan follows him and watches discretely from a distance as he digs a hole.

However, when Nate moves off, Susan walks over to check what is inside the hole but disaster strikes when she trips and falls, knocking herself out on the way down.

An oblivious Nate then returns to the hole and continues to fill it, burying an unconscious Susan alive in the process.

Susan's outlook seems bleak as no one is aware that she followed Nate into the park that night, but fans will have to wait until January to find out whether or not she survives.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Friday, December 5 on Channel 5.

    Buried alive
Susan finds herself in a whole heap of trouble as she strives to get to the bottom of Nate's bizarre behaviour.

Amateur counsellor Susan thinks that she's finally escaped her increasingly worrisome situation with Nate now that she's stopped being his unofficial therapist. As she refocuses her efforts on helping a hapless Karl diffuse his irrational desire to own some new pets, she's unawre that her nephew's bizarre behaviour continues to spiral out of control.

With Nate (Meyne Wyatt) agitatedly and deliberately refusing his psychologist's efforts to help him get to the bottom of his angst while also blocking Chris' (James Mason) efforts to reach out to him, the former soldier is soon retreating alone into some deserted bush land to furiously dig a deep hole in the middle of the night!

When Chris confides in Susan that Nate's nightmares have again recurred, Susan's fears for her nephew's welfare are resurrected, as is her worry that if Nate doesn't receive the proper treatment soon, he'll end up seriously harming or killing someone.

Confiding in Karl (Alan Fletcher) about Nate's regression, Susan remains flustered by his insistence that she can't become involved again, gives the detrimental effects to her health the last time she attempted to unravel Nate's demons.

However that night, Susan is quickly spurred into action to uncover the root of Nate's secretive behaviour when she spies him walking determinedly into the park carrying a shovel. From a distance, Susan is intrigued to spy Nate feverishly digging a large, deep hole and when he suddenly disappears from the scene, Susan is quick to investigate the crater's contents.

As Susan peers into the crevice, she accidentally loses her footing and plunges into the darkened abyss, left lying unconscious at the bottom of the hole!

Unable to raise the alarm, Susan's hope of survival becomes seriously grim when a distracted Nate returns to the scene and fails to see that his ailing aunt is in terrible trouble. Without a second thought, Nate takes the shovel and hurriedly refills the hole with dirt, oblivious to the fact that he's burying Susan alive!

Don't think Sheila's heart attack is the finale either. Hope the finale is better than last years cliffhanger. Georgia being attacked by Gemma was rubbish. I mean, Gemma hardly pushed Georgia and Georgia still fell and hit her head.

This is the moment that Susan Kennedy is buried alive in Neighbours after her concern for Nate Kinski has terrifying repercussions.

As Susan (Jackie Woodburne) continues to worry about Nate's odd behaviour, she decides to take matters into her own hands one night and follow him.

Susan's suspicions are initially increased when Nate's boyfriend Chris Pappas reveals that the former army man has been suffering from nightmares again.

Although Karl tries to convince Susan to leave Nate's problems in the hands of his therapist, she ignores his advice when she spots Nate (Meyne Wyatt) heading into a park carrying a shovel.

Wanting to get to the bottom of Nate's strange behaviour, Susan follows him and watches discreetly from a distance as he digs a hole.

However, tragedy strikes when Susan moves over to explore the hole after Nate moves off but accidentally falls in, knocking herself unconscious.

An oblivious Nate then returns to the hole and proceeds with the digging, unaware that he is burying Susan alive in the process...
