Neighbours' Susan Kennedy will be left in serious danger after Nate Kinski unintentionally buries her alive.
The dramatic scenes will take place in the UK cliffhanger in December, before the Australian soap gets taken off air over the Christmas season.
As Susan continues to worry about Nate's odd behaviour, her suspicions will increase when his boyfriend Chris Pappas reveals Nate (Meyne Wyatt) has been having nightmares again.
Although Karl (Alan Fletcher) tries to convince Susan to not carry the burden of Nate's problems and let his therapist help, Susan ignores Karl's advice when she spots Nate heading into a park carrying a shovel.
Feeling intrigued and wanting to get to the bottom of Nate's strange behaviour, Susan follows him and watches discretely from a distance as he digs a hole.
However, when Nate moves off, Susan walks over to check what is inside the hole but disaster strikes when she trips and falls, knocking herself out on the way down.
An oblivious Nate then returns to the hole and continues to fill it, burying an unconscious Susan alive in the process.
Susan's outlook seems bleak as no one is aware that she followed Nate into the park that night, but fans will have to wait until January to find out whether or not she survives.
Neighbours airs these scenes on Friday, December 5 on Channel 5.
