If you mean why was he taken to hospital, it was because he'd had a heart attack. If you mean why was he taken to Weatherfield General in particular, it was something that I thought strange as well, unless his frequent stops meant they hadn't actually left Weatherfield, which seems unlikely given the views of the roads they were travelling on.

I don't live in the area, but IIRC, didn't one of the cast mention they were on the A583 when the heart attack occurred?
Looking on google maps, the A583 is the Preston to Blackpool road, which meant they must have been at least 35 miles from Manchester.
There must be a more local hospital than Wethy General?

It is sad when older soap actors like Bill Roache, Barbara Knox and June Brown, become too theatrical and loose the art of how to act "normally" and stage act. However I did like the way they had the credits rolling at the end with different eras of the show. That was a nice touch by ITV.
I thought he was talking to the house, rather than to the camera. It was a lovely moment, though, and the older credits were indeed a nice touch.

It was nice to see John Henshaw as the coach driver in CS back on our screens, a very good actor, if CS have any sense they will snap him up for a more semi regular part in the show, they could do with the likes of John on the show.
