Calvin goes to Warren for another job
    Monday 9th Feb

Carmel is running a Valentine's Day promotion at Evissa aimed at getting the men in for a bit of pampering. She tries to convince Calvin to get involved but he's reluctant and begins to feel the strain of trying to keep his wife happy as Carmel starts discussing holidays now that Calvin's making more money at work.

Much to Spencer's delight Warren has a flash new sports car on loan and when Calvin spots Warren and his new wheels, his envy is freshly stoked and he yearns once more for Warren's playboy lifestyle. Realising that he'll have to make more money if he wants to give Carmel and him a better life, Calvin goes to see Warren again and asks for one more job.

When Nancy happens across Carmel in the village and Carmel asks her if she wants to sign Ravi up for a beauty session at Evissa, Nancy spots the opportunity to get Ravi out of the flat for a few hours. Nancy bumps into Kris in The Dog and in spite of her moral compass initially steering her away from him, she manages to drop into conversation that Ravi won't be at home for a few hours.

Kris is on his way over to see Nancy when he spots Ravi going into Evissa. Enjoying the power and the mischief, Kris decides, rather than spend the night with Nancy, he'll pursue her boyfriend instead. Ironically Kris' meddling backfires when Ravi returns home to see Nancy and the couple enjoy a very romantic Valentine's together.

On behalf of Ash, Gilly arrives at Tan & Tumble to check up on Jacqui but his presence threatens to put a halt to Jacqui's under-the-counter black market clothing store. Theresa is desperate to prove herself as one of the McQueens, so takes the initiative to rescue Jacqui's enterprise. When Mercedes and Jacqui see Theresa chatting up Gilly, they can hardly believe it and then when she drags him out of the shop for a date, they are totally gobsmacked. It's only when she returns alone that Jacqui and Mercedes realise what Theresa has done. Perhaps there's more McQueen in Theresa than they gave her credit for…

Sasha goes to see Warren in the hope of rekindling their kiss from the other night, but he's cold with her from the off. Sasha puts this down to Spencer being in the flat, so when Warren mentions that he needs someone to keep Spencer company for the day, Sasha jumps at the chance, despite of having work to get on with. But Sasha's hopes are dashed and she is completely devastated when Warren comes home that night, not to her but instead with a drunken Sarah on his arm.

Warren puts Calvin in a tricky position
    Tuesday, February 10

Sarah wakes up in Warren's bed, memories of the night previous and regrets of the morning present wash across her. She makes her excuses and as she goes to leave, she half hopes for an invitation to stay on or at least get some breakfast together. Any such hopes are quickly put to bed when she realises that Warren doesn't even know her name.

Archie catches up with Sarah on the Piazza and assures her that even though she slept with Warren last night, he is still holding out for her. A bemused Sarah, although sceptical, secretly finds some solace in this. She is further tickled when Archie tells her that he plans on getting an England cap for lawn bowling in order to complete yet another task on his list and eventually win her heart.

Jacqui's woes are not over as Ash turns up at Tan & Tumble to keep an eye on her. Theresa arrives, hoping to pick up where she left off yesterday and cash in on Jacqui's illicit clothes shop. She's disappointed to discover that Ash's presence has put the kybosh on their enterprise and even more disappointed when Jacqui makes her start cleaning the shop to cover their tracks. Jacqui continues to keep Ash busy, while Theresa hits the town with Anita, enlisting her unwitting help for some casual shoplifting. Jacqui's expectations are all exceeded, though, when Theresa returns with a false pregnant belly full of swag.

Nancy and Ravi are getting on surprisingly well in spite of their respective infidelities and even Kris turning up doesn't spoil the mood. Kris enjoys playing both Nancy and Ravi, but his plan begins to backfire when neither wants to spend any time with him, favouring a weekend away together instead. Kris begins to worry that his secret affair with Nancy and Ravi is inadvertently driving them closer together.

Calvin decides that he's truly had enough of just getting by and that while being a morally upstanding citizen has its benefits, he wants to have some fun. So Calvin promises Carmel a holiday away to wherever she wants and leaves her bouncing with joy whilst he goes to see Warren about getting some work to raise these funds. Warren throws Calvin some 'insurance' work: to retrieve some money from a surly mechanic and his pregnant wife.

Calvin can't help feeling bad when they hand over the money, so Warren offers him a solution - Calvin can keep the money as his fee and may do with it as he pleases. Calvin's stunned at the ease of getting the money so quickly but faces a moral dilemma in whether to keep it or not…

Spencer locks himself in Warren's car
    Wednesday, February 11

Jacqui has taken Theresa under her wing and together they are putting Theresa's false pregnancy bump shoplifting device into mass production. Meanwhile, Michaela goes to interview a local woman who runs a soon-to-be-defunct kennel. Her heart is so warmed by the puppies, she ends up taking them in, much to the horror of her family. Myra can't bring herself to kick the dogs out of the house and grants them a stay of execution until Michaela can find them somewhere to live.

Jacqui and Theresa return home to a house that has been torn to shreds by the dogs – and their pregnancy bumps have also been ruined. Myra spots them and is incensed, demanding to know who they belong to. Jacqui takes the fall for Theresa but Myra sees through it and to Theresa's dismay, Myra insists that she spend her time after school working for Carmel in Evissa.

Spencer is hassling Warren to spend time with him so Warren relents and packs him off to see Sasha for the day. Spencer goes round to see Sasha who is revising with Amy. Sasha reveals to a shocked Amy that she kissed Warren and that she thinks they're destined to be together - it's just a matter of time. Amy can't help warding her friend away from Warren but Sasha just takes it as jealousy and disregards Amy's better judgement. Warren arrives to pick up Spencer and sees Sasha squabbling with Amy. It serves as a swift reminder that Sasha is still just a schoolgirl.

Later, Spencer and Warren come to blows and Warren yells at Spencer to get out. Spencer runs into the village and locks himself in Warren's car, which just makes Warren even angrier. A standoff develops and as much as it pains Warren to do it, he calls Sasha, knowing full well that she is the only one Spencer will listen to.

Sasha arrives and convinces Spencer to let her into the car and eventually to get out, on the grounds that Warren won't be angry. Warren reluctantly concedes but the moment Spencer steps out, Warren flies off the handle and drags him home kicking and screaming. Both Spencer and Sasha are left feeling totally betrayed. The grief and guilt of Louise's death obviously still hangs heavy over Warren.

Loretta and Dom are excited because they're going to see a rare bird that has nested in Hollyoaks, but Dom is ill and Loretta can't help but worry about him. Loretta tries to convince Dom that he doesn't have to go bird spotting with her, but he won't have any of it and insists on going with or without the flu. They get to the site of the nest and there are already a few other 'twitchers' waiting to catch a glimpse of the rare bird. Dom spots it first and just as he points it out to Loretta, he lets out an almighty sneeze and quick as a flash, the bird disappears.

Dom feels terrible but all Loretta cares about is seeing Dom get better so she takes him home for some well needed TLC. Dom couldn't be happier - Loretta just seems too good to be true.

Sasha enjoys a meal with Warren and Spencer

Michaela eagerly anticipates Zak's first visit to meet the family but with all the dogs making the McQueens' even more of a madhouse than usual, she's beginning to regret taking responsibility for them.

When Zak arrives, the McQueens take great pleasure in putting him through the motions. Mercedes and Jacqui are planning a trip down to the shopping centre to renew some old habits but Myra is quick to tell them to forget it - that is until Jacqui reminds her of the ever-growing stack of bills gathering dust in the hall.

Desperation forces Myra to admit this may be a good idea and she even tries on one of the pregnancy bumps just as Theresa walks in. The entire McQueen clan pile out of the house leaving Zak to watch over the dogs. Meanwhile, Michaela is incensed that Malachy seems to be getting preferential treatment to Zak and even Mercedes finds it a little strange but they don't have time to complain.

The McQueens embark on a massive shoplifting spree which proves to be a huge success and it seems like normal service has resumed when Jacqui and Mercedes survey the spoils of their efforts.

Theresa's having no fun working for Carmel who's making her clean around Evissa. Carmel begins to wonder if Theresa's predisposition to thievery and bunking off school is actually an inevitable byproduct of being a McQueen. Carmel confronts Theresa about this and uses herself as an example role model, explaining that there is another, honest way to make a living. When the phone rings, Theresa spots her chance to escape the pious lecture and bolts out of Evissa as quick as her legs will carry her.

Warren has some serious making up to do with both Spencer and Sasha after betraying their trust yesterday. Fortunately for Warren, he can kill two birds with one stone and since Sasha is so keen to please, he asks her to hang out with Spencer again. She obliges and decides to take Spencer to MOBS for a smoothie.

Warren invites her to stay for dinner and he even manages to patch things up with Spencer. Things are nearly spoiled when Sasha brings up Louise, prompting Warren to snap at her. He quickly apologises, recognising domestic peace is more important than his inner demons. There's a strange calm as they all sit and eat dinner - Sasha, in particular, noticing that as the three of them sit there, they almost look like a family…

Loretta is taking care of Dom who is enjoying being nursed back to health while painting his model soldiers. But Dom's perfect day is threatened when Loretta tells him she has to go back to work today. Thinking on his feet, Dom feigns a sudden downturn in his recovery and Loretta refuses to leave him alone. Loretta stays to look after Dom but quickly cottons on to what he's doing. She allows him to believe he's tricked her into staying but in truth, she wants to be there too.

When Loretta finally catches him out for pulling a sickie, Dom can't apologise enough, confessing that he just loves spending time with her. Loretta makes him squirm for just a few moments before admitting that she feels the same way. The loved-up young couple settle down to an afternoon in front of a Bill Oddie DVD -two peas in a slightly weird pod.

Spencer is trying to write Sasha a Valentine's card and Warren is keen to help out. Fearful that he might give Sasha the wrong idea, Warren watches carefully over Spencer, unsure just how to handle him. When Sasha gets her card from Spencer, she lets herself believe that it's from Warren and begins to get really excited.

When Sasha goes to see Warren at The Loft to offer to make him and Spencer dinner, Warren thanks her for everything she's done in repairing his relationship with Spencer. Sasha rushes off to prepare dinner.

Back in The Loft, the bottom suddenly drops out of Warren's world when he receives a scathing Valentine card from Louise! Warren returns home, unable to get the card off his mind and instantly accuses Spencer of writing it. Sasha is scared when she sees Warren yelling at Spencer and confesses to having written the card herself in the hope that it might help him forget Louise. This brings the evening to an unwholesome and abrupt end.

Rhys convinces Justin that buying Leila a Valentine's card and expensive chocolates is a waste of money. When Ash arrives boasting of a night of luxurious grandeur laid on for Hannah, a jealous Justin advises a more personal touch, hoping that Ash will tone down the glamour.

Ash bumps into Hannah while she's hanging out with Leila and he tells her that he won't be able to do anything with her on Valentine's Day and instead suggests that they do something together tonight. They arrange to meet in the SU Bar later.

A crushed Hannah is despondent after Ash cancels on her for Valentine's Day but is absolutely blown away when he arrives at the SU Bar with an unbelievable gift. Justin can't believe how literally Ash has taken his advice and is left totally trumped when Hannah gets her very own car!

Michaela wakes Zak with an early Valentine's gift then tells him to get round to hers that evening for an intimate night while the whole family are out. Unfortunately for her, Mercedes has had the same idea and offered to put on a romantic spread for Malachy. Michaela visits Sasha for some advice on the best outfit to woo Zak with and is shocked to discover that she's all set to go on a 'date' with Warren. She tries to warn her off, but Sasha won't listen.

As Michaela and Zak are beginning to enjoy their evening together, the inevitable happens and in stumble the ever-amorous Mercedes and Malachy. A huge fight breaks out between the girls and the men take a moment outside to realise how lucky they are really. The fighting subsides and Mercedes reveals to Michaela that she knows Myra's spoiling Malachy because she's scared of his disease and doesn't want him touching anything.

Dom is desperate to do something particularly special for Loretta and plans for it all to begin at no later than one minute past midnight. So when Loretta tells him that she's going back to work at the club tonight, Dom is gutted. He tries his hand at tricking her into sacking off work again but Loretta's wise to it and misreads Dom's efforts.

To Dom's desperate dismay, this makes her really angry and she ends up marching out to work anyway. Dom is left all alone, rueing his romantic midnight dinner for two that never happened. Just as he is settling down for the evening alone, the door to the flat opens and in bolts a loved up Loretta, unable to tear herself away from her man…
