I forgot Peter Kay he is just so funny I love Phoenix Night and Max & Paddy.
I also think Dave Spikey is funny along with Lee Mack
If we're talking about present day stand-ups, I reckon Alan Davies or Eddie Izzard. Peter Kay is good as well.
But none of them can match Tommy Cooper, the greatest of them all.
Was Tommy that good? I am a little too young to remember him
The thing about Tommy Cooper was he just had to walk on stage and say nothing and everyone would fall about laughing. His jokes were so stupid, but again it was his stage presence and they way he spoke that was just so irresistibly funny.
I will see if I can find some clips of him on youtube or something
I have seen clips for Morecame and Wise they were funny. On UK Gold they had the 2 Ronnies and I found them very funny Ronnie Barker was very good
Alan Carr and Michael McIntyre are my favourites at the mo. I think Jimmy Carr and Bill Bailey can be really funny at times as well.
I don't get the love for Ricky Gervais. People seem to really like him as a comedian but I don't find him funny at all... is it just me
