Its a silly leaving storyline because last year Nate had a storyline of him suffering PTSD (which was a great storyline by the way). Why would he have gone back to the Army knowing he could get PTSD again? It makes no sense.
I can`t help but wonder if the Producer is punishing Meyne with a ridiculous storyline because they are mad about his decision to leave. Especially since they gave him time off to do a play last year.

Ex-soldiers can find life as a civilian empty and meaningless, and something in that vein has been very briefly mentioned recently, so I think there is a realistic chance someone like Nate would consider re-enlisting.

However (and it's a big however), it would be a difficult decision and not one taken lightly given his PTSD (and would the army even allow it?). It's the extremely rushed nature of the storyline that makes it silly in my opinion.

A fair few of my former colleagues have signed up again, regardless of their mental or even physical condition .. they were examined and found to be fit to serve ... I believe that their conditions have been taken into account when deciding which job they were to do once they rejoined again

I hope he doesn't rush into anything.
