Has she had a load of botox or something as her face looks wrong.
Coronation Street star Claire King has claimed a facelift saved her acting career after the "phone stopped ringing" as she approached the age of 50.
The actress, who plays Erica Holroyd, admitted that she was struggling to find work and couldn't even afford to buy fuel for her car, until she went on TV show Stitch Me, Lift Me, Tuck Me.
The programme showed King getting a mini-facelift at a Harley Street clinic - a surgery in which a stitch is placed under each cheek to pull up the lower half of the face.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, King said: "When I looked at my double chin and sagging jawline, I was prepared to try a cosmetic procedure to improve my chances of being offered new parts in the job I Ioved.
"Although my older peers had warned me that when actresses reach the big 5-0, work often starts to dry up, I couldn't imagine it ever happening to me.
"But then, a few years before I'd even reached that landmark birthday, the phone stopped ringing. It was as sudden as a tap being turned off. I was devastated.
"I felt so low and unsure of myself that I didn't want to leave the house. Sometimes I couldn't even afford to - I didn't have enough money to fill the car with petrol."
King, who previously starred in Emmerdale for 10 years as Kim Tate, also revealed that she was prepared to give up acting if she hadn't landed her Coronation Street role.
Recalling the moment she was asked to audition for the ITV show, King said:"My heart leapt. But I promised myself there and then that if I didn't get it, I would give up the job I loved - I would quit acting."

I thought she looked ok before the face lift. Papers saying she could not afford to leave the house. There really blow everything out of proportion. Of course she could leave her house...she has two legs

I can't see her lasting long in corrie. Story lines dried up. I thought they were really going to make a story of the impact of her miscarriage. She needs to have a back up plan if work is at risk. Acting work is not a regular thing so its propbably more important to plan for a rainy day.

I wonder did Emmerdale ever try to lure and tempt her back
Well a couple of years there were several
reports that top ED management were having
meetings at top hotel with a former star .
It could have been lunch only? and no name
mentioned but it got converted into luring
Claire King back- but nothing happened"
She left for new pastures and was in Bad Girls
but probably wishes she hadnt left ED - would
quite likely still be there.!
