After Paul collapses and is admitted to hospital, Nick tries desperately to cover his tracks but Georgia isn't fooled by him.
A devastated Paul thinks he's slowly dying of leukaemia but the truth about Dr Nick's vile act of deception is finally about to be revealed.
In a ruthless bid to find funding for his cancer research centre, Nick (Damien Fotiou) tricked Paul (Stefan Dennis) into thinking he was suffering a rare form of leukaemia.
It was a despicable act by a desperate man and Paul has so far fallen for Nick's lies hook, line and sinker.
Believing he only has a short time left to live, Paul begins getting his affairs in order and is thrilled when he finds a buyer for Lassiters.
Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) suggests caution when Paul plans to celebrate the good news but she eventually relents and agrees to allow him to go and have a drink at the bar.
When Paul suddenly collapses, it's clear he has pushed himself to hard.
Meanwhile, Nick is confident that his plan for the cancer centre is back on track.
Reassured by Georgia's (Saskia Hampele) silence that she has nothing on him, Nick is buoyed by the donations.
Karl (Alan Fletcher) is surprised when Nick insists on keeping his treatment of Paul a secret but Nick manages to fob off Karl's concerns.
However, just when Nick's cancer centre dreams are within reach, he's terrified to learn Paul has collapsed and been admitted to hospital.
Desperate to prevent his secret being revealed, Nick insists he must oversee Paul's care when his is admitted to hospital.
This triggers Georgia's suspicions about the dodgy doctor, while Karl is completely thrown by Paul's unexpected blood test results. Attempting to pre-empt their suspicions, Nick makes the baffling announcement that he has managed to cure Paul's leukaemia.
Karl is staggered by the news and Nick is convinced he'll get away with his deception but Georgia is determined to find out exactly what he is up to.
Can she uncover the truth about this dodgy doctor?

Meanwhile, there is a darker time ahead for Paul Robinson when he collapses after his cancer treatment starts to take its toll.

Paul (Stefan Dennis) has been wrongly diagnosed with leukaemia as part of a scheme concocted by Nick Petrides and is currently having chemotherapy.

Paul's shock collapse comes after Naomi Canning (Morgana O'Reilly) makes the big decision to end her relationship with Mark Brennan, deciding that she wants to be with Paul instead.

Fresh from her break-up with Brennan, Naomi finally gives Paul some news he can celebrate when she tells him that they have secured a buyer for Lassiters Hotel, which he is trying to sell.

Although Paul wants to go out and celebrate the good news in style, Naomi becomes concerned by his breathing and wants him to rest.

Despite her worries, Paul eventually manages to twist Naomi's arm and the pair head out for a drink together.

While Paul enjoys a celebratory drink at the bar with Karl and Georgia, Sheila pulls Naomi aside to confront her about Brennan, convinced that this is yet another instance of Naomi sabotaging the perfect relationship.

Despite her mother's fury, Naomi stands by her decision and takes Sheila by surprise when she blurts out that she has feelings for Paul.

However, the moment is cut short when Paul suddenly collapses whilst at the bar. Karl and Georgia quickly rush over to help him, but will he be alright?

Also ahead on Neighbours, Paul Robinson comes to a surprise realisation as he finally accepts Naomi Canning's interference as a good thing!

When Paul (Stefan Dennis) has another big argument with his no-nonsense daughter Amy, it's left to Naomi and Sonya Rebecchi to form an unexpected alliance to get the pair back on track.

Sonya soon gets to work on calming Amy down, pointing out that people like Paul are capable of changing for the better.

Proving her point, Sonya shows Amy a treasured drawing that she sent Paul as a child, which Naomi (Morgana O'Reilly) nabbed from his desk drawer.

Realising that Paul cares much more than she thought, Amy visits her father and gives him one last chance to build a relationship with her and his grandson Jimmy.

Although all is well again, Naomi fears Paul's wrath as she has already promised to stop getting involved in his personal affairs. However, much to her shock, Paul gives her permission to interfere again in the future - she's the only reason he now has Amy and Jimmy in his life.

Neighbours producer Jason Herbison teases the Christmas storylines. He says about Paul:

Paul's life will also change in a big way by the end of the year.

Wonder if changes in a good or bad way? after everything Paul has been through this year with the fake cancer scheme. He could do with something good to happen.

Was expecting something Paul related for the Chrismtas storylines.

There's also the return of Dennis Dimato & Michelle Kim who will be involved in the season finale. Think Mark & Tyler could be involved in the season finale with Dimato & Michelle,

Just watched today's episode, I'm gutted that Paul and Naomi ended that way. I really hoped they could end on good terms

If anyone has a few spare hours, please look up the first episodes of Neighbours. Totally different Paul, different relationship dynamics and probably a different Australia. Apologies for being maudlin but I miss those days.

You're right it was a different time. Paul had the mindset of a younger, less battle weary man too.

I think Naomi was wrong to betray him with the USB information.. so is Daniel. Daniel is family, you don't do that to family.

With everything Paul has done in the past and everything he has done now, I personally think he got what was coming to him.
