Coronation Street confirms full Christmas and New Year scheduling
Coronation Street has confirmed its scheduling details for the Christmas and New Year period.
The ITV1 soap will be airing big episodes over the festive season, but as always, there'll be a few changes to the usual schedules.
As Christmas and New Year both fall on weekends this year, there'll be extra editions on days that the show doesn't usually air.
The centrepiece of the celebrations will be an hour-long episode on Christmas Day, focusing on Tyrone Dobbs and Fiz Stape's wedding day.
A 30-minute edition has also been scheduled in for New Year's Eve, although there won't be a New Year's Day special this time.

Speaking this week about Corrie's Christmas episodes, show producer Iain MacLeod told Digital Spy and other media: "The episodes are fun, warm and family-orientated. Corrie has historically always done that.
"A few years ago, we went a little bit Die Hard with Gary, Shona and the funfair. I absolutely loved that. It allowed us to do a thriller-ish conceptual trailer for it, so it was all very exciting.
"But we're right in our wheelhouse now with this Christmas. It's got loads of comedy, family fun and warmth. I cried twice in the viewing ? and I'm not given to tears! It's really moving and lovely. It's not sad, but in a 'warm your cockles' way."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
