Memo to Kate Oates "This is not Hollyoaks! Ditch the music, it is not needed.
It was a good episode up to the end, then completely spoilt, I did think it was a poor Duff Duff and could have been better. See the ending without music on Twitter and it is so much more dramatic.

A good ensemble episode and pretty polished all round.
Ben is playing with the big boys now and has bitten off more than he can chew. No doubt King phillip will come to the rescue. Is it written in Steve's contract he has to be top dog? A good Duff Duff, so barrow boy Martin is back
Whatever happened to the police investigation into the assault on Phil? Ben changed his statement and Keanu is in the clear, so what are the police now doing? Or is it one of those things that will just be conveniently forgotten?

It seems to be, despite it never being convincing and even less so as the years go on. Phil as king Gangsta and Sharon as his glorified moll just doesn't work. It's why I hope Mel's plan succeeds, but the way its written is that even if Mel does succeed, in a few days Phil will be pulling wads of money out the Mitchell family safe as if nothing has ever happened.

The Martin and Sonia scenes were very good and Tanya Franks as Rainie, all I can say is "wow."
Ian is a deuce-bag with no redeeming qualities. And there was some nice little nuggets of comedy from Jean and Daniel.
