Not been on here for ages so just seen this. So sorry to hear this Siobhan, i hope that things are getting better for you. Its so awful to try and come to terms with and I really feel for you.
Present position from me is that I am now a fully qualified teacher with my own class. Its all very surreal but I am absolutely loving it.

I thought it was hot here in Penrith on new years eve, when it was 46.3 degrees Celsius. Well, today (Sat) it is 48.9 C - the hottest day ever recorded in Greater Sydney (& it was supposedly the hottest place on Earth today!). And there is still the bushfire threat in the Blue Mountains & the South Coast etc. (48.9C is equivalent to about 130 Fahrenheit!). I have had the air-con on as well as the ceiling fans & it is still stifling hot inside at 7:30pm. Unbelievable!

I hope that things change soon and it cools down and that it rains, rains and rains. It breaks my heart to see all the fires on the news and the amount of wildlife perished .. some to possible extinction according to some news I pray that you and others still affected by the fires will stay safe
